The property was located very central to the Point Loma/Shelter Island area. Convenient to the airport, but I don't think they have a shuttle. We booked based on a quick glance at the area and photos listed. Our room was clean and boho modern. Small but very clean, It had a very hip vibe and the room had everything we needed…..comfy bed, good a/c, roomy shower with toiletries. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay here again :)

Room was a good size for just two people and it also included a pull out bed. The room was cleaned well and stocked. We turned down cleaning service but the house keeper still offered fresh towels. We also liked the location because it was kinda in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go and what we needed. Also all the hotel staff were very friendly.

Shower was nice but the floor was still slippery from the feet grip wearing out. Some tv channels had terrible signal and the ones that didn’t weren’t bad but didn’t care to watch those channels. Also the tv channel would lose signal randomly but not too much.

Excellent location! Safe neighborhood, dog friendly, good price, my second time staying at this property it’s now my go to hotel of choice!

I stayed on the ground floor my second visit, the noise level was a bit loud but to be expected staying at ground level. Price was higher to book a Saturday which is also to be expected and I was charged a 10$ a day parking fee my first visit I did not have to pay for parking I’m not sure what the deal was with that.

Great location for anyone taking a cruise and departing in a day or two of arriving in San Diego or for coming off the boat and needing a spot before heading home! Right next to a Better Buzz and Starbucks, Ralph’s and Dennys are walking distance (2 blocks maybe)

Doesn’t have any green space for pets but they accept them on property so that’s a plus.

The beds were comfortable , the pricing for the two queen was perfect , the hot water was quick and lasting in the shower . The front desk gentleman was super friendly and accommodated everything in a timely manner , the house cleaner was great , nothing was missing , I felt safe ! We were there to visit the beach which was only 10 min away !! And then visit sea world which was only 10 min away ! Literally could not get any better ! Locations for food you could jus walk to , and there was alittle small pub bar that was great !!

Honestly there was nothing I didn’t like , it was exactly what I expected we were there to sleep so not much to expect

Time and time again the Aqua Mar, especially the front desk guy, looks out for us in every way they can. From bringing extra towels to our room when needed, to the front desk man moving his car so a customer can park his vehicle. I almost feel like dude would give me the shirt off his back if I asked for it. This review could easily turn into a 5 paragraph essay. But the point being I LOVE the Aqua Mar and the staff is awesome. Thanks dudes!!!

If I found anything to not like,I feel it would be so minor that I would be being supercritical. So my final answer is......well, nothing.

Fantastic location, accommodating to my dog, very friendly staff! Most importantly wanted to feel safe and property was safe and secure, safe to walk my pet in the evening nice neighborhood. I was pleasantly surprised how clean the room was more clean than the Airbnbs I’ve been staying at. Only complaint was the shower was a little wonky but with some finagling got it to work.

The location could of been a little closer to downtown. Was super clean and really great guy at the front desk at night. The one in the morning looked like he just rolled out of bed. Room was smaller than I expected but still big enough would of been nice to even just have a chair of some sort or a bar stool by the shelf under tv. All in all 10/10

The lighting

a/c worked great. fresh towels. tv & cable worked. mini fridge worked, kept my drinks cold. microwave worked well to heat my food. bed was comfortable. good location around marina.

horrible, really bad shower pressure. I took almost 30 minutes to feel clean because there was NO water pressure coming out of the shower head. no Google casting installed on the TV. not an internet ready t.v. either... no Netflix no Hulu no Paramount+ because again, not an internet ready TV

Location was close to Gaslamp. Check in was easy, everything worked.

The blankets are thin, but still comfortable. That probably means they really clean all the linens each time though. I’m never sure about the comforter at a hotel. There is no option for a crib/pack n play. We had to have my little ones sleep in the bed with us.
