The location was great with good coffee shops and eateries and Shelter Island all within walking distance. The room was very clean and airy. The bed was so comfortable and the toiletries provided were great too. The hotel is small and welcoming and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Sadly the restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday nights (the 2 nights I stayed) so there was not much going on in the hotel whilst I was there - it was very quiet. I was told that it’s a great place for cocktails (when open!). It would also have been great to have some comfortable loungers by the pool rather than just upright chairs.

Great property, beautifully renovated and nice style with lots of lively details. Comfortable spaces.

Lack of iron and ironing board and coffee maker in the rooms was disappointing. I wouldn’t usually miss an iron but travelling for work sometimes requires it. I’d recommend coffee makers in the rooms.

lovely, room and furnishing, good soundproofing, comfortable mattress helpful receptionist, good, included breakfast with nice fruit, beautiful, outdoor pool and restaurant

water pressure in shower very low, even for California, bed too low to floor, road in front of hotel seemed dangerous to cross on foot or bicycle (which I did not rent) due to speeding cars. A stop sign given location of hotel in relation to harbor, would be sensible. No apparent assistance for carrying luggage up stairs

The room was very nice and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was also easy to reach and in walking distance of the sea.

Slightly more facilities (mini fridge in the room, breakfast in the restaurant) would have been nice, but we managed very well without

I loved the vibe that the boutique hotel created compared to how other hotels in the area looked. I also think the staff regardless of their role, made me feel wonderful as a guest. I had a front desk employee clean the pool when I went down there to swim.

I think that price wise, it can be slightly less.

The room was stylish and functional, although they went overboard with the room fragrance, which smelled medicinal. We could still smell it on our clothes when we got home! Because it was our anniversary, they gave us two vouchers for drinks at the bar, which was nice. We got to the bar as they were closing, but they agreed to serve us.

The pool was nice, but there were restaurant tables all around it, which would have made us feel like we were the dining entertainment, so we decided to skip it. It would have been super awkward to walk through diners and jump in the pool. I also didn't like the extra fee they automatically made you pay for Wi-fi, etc. At this price point, I would've expected that to be included. In fact, for the money we spent, I expected a MUCH more luxurious experience.

The day we arrived, happy hour was all day! They had special pricing and good snacking food.

The room we had didn't have a plug for the CPAP machine i use at night. They did compensate us with knocking off the parking fee.

We rented the room that included a pull-out couch. It was decorated so nicely and had great lighting. Everything felt super clean and safe. I shared with the hotel that we were celebrating three birthdays and they provided free drink vouchers for their bar! The cocktails were delicious and ambiance was fun and lively. If you want dinner at the restaurant/bar, I recommend reservations because of the limited seating. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and bars, so convenient for a night out. Parking is very limited, we ended up parking in the neighborhood up the street.

The pullout couch was not that comfortable to sleep on - it felt a bit lumpy.

There is nothing that we did not like about our stay here! It was absolutely fabulous and we will definitely be back at the pearl when we visit!

beautiful hotel, pool and hotel room with exceptional attention to detail. The bar and restaurant staff were just fabulous. They gave wonderful service and gave us fabulous tips for exploring San Diego. The restaurant food was delicious.

the extra charges like for parking for instance which we weren’t told about but were added to our bill. There isn’t much around the hotel itself to do.
