Hotel Point Loma

They allowed dogs for a small fee and the location was close to the beach. The manager was able to get in early and upgraded our room at no extra charge.

great proximity to the airport. across the street from the infamous Pearl restaurant and the beloved Mitch’s Seafood. A good place to rest our head before beginning our desert travels. Friendly check in.

This is my 1st visit to San Diego. I drove from Minnesota with my daughter who got a great job here. Tired from the road, I came to this hotel based on the reviews about it and Max the manager. He is an exceptional person who did everything to make sure my stay was comfortable. This is an older hotel with pretty remodeled rooms, very homey and a block from the docks and great seafood restaurants. My picture for "outside" is the dock area down the street. Also there are stores on the block for needed goods. It is close to Ocean Beach too. The staff here we're great and everything was very clean. I decided to stay another week...thank you staff and Max! 🤗

The staff was very kind and helpful. The man working at the front desk gave me a secure place to store my luggage until check-in time, and he also allowed me to tour the available rooms and choose my favorite which was very kind. The room was spacious and the location is perfect – very close to the San Diego Airport as well as walking distance from Starbucks and other restaurants.

A free breakfast would have been a nice touch, but I knew that this wasn't included! And perhaps some plastic utensils in the kitchenette would have been appreciated, as my Uber Eats driver forgot to include them in my delivery order. But overall, my stay was excellent!

Our room was nicely furnished, decorated, and spacious. More than anything, though, the hotel is surrounded by hotels that probably charge twice the price or more. If you want to be around the Sail Bay area and all the action that happens there, this might be the best value you'll find on a decent room.

The only issue I encountered was the shower. It seemed like it had a super low-flow head, which I'm guessing the previous guest actually removed but didn't fasten back very well. After I tightened the head, I was able to enjoy a steady trickle out of it rather that the spray explosion I first encountered ; )

My stay at point Loma motel was awesome. I recommended to anyone traveling in The point Loma area. The staff is awesome everybody is friendly, helpful. Price is always good. Hotel is newly remodeled awesome. I stayed here a few times every time I come to point Loma this is where I stay at. It's very convenient to anything you want food, any kind of shopping you want, want to go fishing fisherman's landing is very convenient. Going back here shortly.

The location was convenient for all the taxis to find. It was also great having a Ralph’s Supermarket down the street to get some groceries for a couple of days. Plus all the amazing restaurants nearby! I recommend the location for the variety things you can find to eat and drink, not to mention you’re right next to the ocean front.

The room could have been a little more clean. I noticed mirror stains, dusty window blinds, and minor floor spots.

I like how big the rooms are. It's more like a studio rather than a hotel.

Parking is off . If u book through Priceline it's a $10 charge. Even though they have a small kitchen they don't supply any dishes, pots or pans. When housekeeping checks your room and they not pick every lil thing. Example I had mascara that rubbed off on to the pillow and they made a big deal about it. Another incident as well. Nothing more than that

The front desk staff were very nice and approachable. They accommodated to any & all of my needs during my stay in a timely and professional manner. The room was clean, the shower was hot with good pressure, and they had all of the basic xfinity TV channels. I can’t complain! It got the job done.

The only thing is they didn’t have an iron / ironing board in the room, but they brought me one instantly after I asked.

Hotel was a one minute walk to the fishing landings at Point Loma. I had a 15 second drive the next morning to the parking lot at Point Loma Sportfishing to catch my boat. The hotel is small and I was able to park right in front of my door. Everything in the room was clean and well maintained. I was happy to have a fridge and microwave and coffee maker. Price was good. I was very pleased with everything.
