We had a lovely room with extra separate bedroom with good sized balcony. Only 2 chairs though for 4 people. Great to have a fridge in the room to keep our drinks cool. Comfortable, large beds. Good size, modern bathroom. Would have liked coffee making facilities in the room rather than having to go to the lobby, but only minor issue. Good parking even for big cars. Near the beach. Great coffee shops and artisan bakeries and eateries close by. Quiet neighbourhood. Not in the airport flight path. Felt very safe! Would be very happy to come back! Thanks

Great location in community, room location on property (ground floor, alley north end) parking, shower, vanity mirror, high countertop with wash basin, bed comforter, desk, closet, and sliding glass doors with view of swimming pool. Morning front desk clerk was cheerful, pleasant and courteous.

The curtain rod was not properly fastened. It came loose when we operated it and had a sharp screw that fell onto the floor. Could have been a hazard to our bare feet. When we reported it to the morning staff on our last day, she made sure to communicate to facilities and cleaning staff. Unlike the morning staff, the evening front desk staff was not warm organized friendly when we checked in. His area also smelled like spicy food had just been eaten which was unpleasant to smell.

Location: Nice walking streets along the ocean are nearby. Quiet neighborhood. Restaurants, CVS pharmacy close walking distance. Room: Very modern, clean lines, adjustable height desk was a bonus. Balcony was comfortable (view to the street). No iron in room. Toiletries are basic. Parking: Free parking, but gets filled up in the evenings. Street parking was available close by. Safety: Seemed Ok, there are multiple entrances all gated with a passcode needed to enter.

Closet hangers only for tall people, hangers are not removable from the bar. If you are short you can't reach to hang clothing. Toiletries are basic, no lotion.

Hotel looks fairly tidy and smart from the outside, but the rooms were a surprise. Very spacious and modern, with a really good sized balcony. You could tell that the staff took pride in their hotel. There is a great local bakery just a block away, and an artisan pizza hut a couple of blocks away.

Nothing really. The only slight downside, and if you want a quiet location, it isn't a downside, is that you need to drive to main La Jolla for the cove and restaurants, or towards Mission beach to find the actual sand. But the location was an excellent base. Although the road outside the hotel was fairly busy, the doors blocked out the noise at night. All in all, very quiet and pleasant.

I loved this hotel! The location was great in a really nice area of La Jolla and close to beaches as well as Point La Jolla! Do not miss La Jolla Cove, it’s beautiful especially for snorkeling. The hotel itself was very modern and new and had some cool smart features! Such as the lock beeping when you open the door and don’t have your key, alerting you so you don’t lock yourself out. I’ve never seen this feature at any other hotels! Plus, the pool is very nice, and it’s great to have access to it out of your patio door.

The only slight issue is that the parking lot can fill up. Street parking in La Jolla isn’t always easy to get either.

We had a 2 queen and 1 king room. Our room was clean and spacious. We liked the location in relation to the attractions we had selected for our visit. It was easy to get in and out of the hotel parking lot and onto the main road. We had a wine fridge that we used to store grocery items to snack on during our stay.

There was no bath tub to soak our aching bodies after walking all day nor was there a hot tub, only a shower. What we really didn't like was the paper thin walls. One night we had extremely loud guests in the room above us. With the tile flooring and thin ceiling we heard the office chair being rolled across the floor and everything else you can imagine. We were thankful that their stay was only one night. The next night we could hear toilet flushing from the room behind our bathroom. There was no microwave in the room but one in the pool area for guests.

It had the most helpful staff that help us get around the coast with telling us the best spots. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable.

There was No coffee pot in the room . We had to go stand in line in the lobby to get a cup. Then they didn’t let you get coffee till 800am. It was really inconvenience to wait till 8am to go walk to the lobby which you had to go outside of the hotel to enter the front. Therefore you had to get dress. One of the things we like about vacation is sipping Coffee on a balcony in your pj’s enjoying the coastal breeze.

The bathroom light is automatic. So in the middle of the night it comes on regardless of whether you want it on which is annoying. Would have been better if it was manual. Last 3 days of our stay, we had issues with noise from guests above us (we were on ground floor). Noise was due to heavy feet/stamping (not sure) either floors above are thin or just unlucky with inconsiderate guests. However, would happily stay here every time I'm in San Diego.

The room was sparkly clean and quiet, and the location felt very safe. The newly renovated modern interior was spacious enough for three adult women to stay comfortably. The hotel was backed up to a quiet upper-middle class neighborhood in an area that felt very safe, and fronted La Jolla Blvd with easy walking access to the beach and shops, all on a clean,walkway with well kept flowering landscaping living up to the character of the La Jolla area. I’ll definitely return! Tip: turn south from the hotel on La Jolla Blvd for the most food choices.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. Some may be turned off by the dated exterior, but be assured it was very well maintained and clean. Restaurants were more of a short driving or bicycling distance rather than walking.
