Ocean Park Inn

Located right on the beach, clean fun modern design, friendly staff, secure parking available for $20, and decent breakfast. Restaurants, grocery, brew pub…. all within easy walking.

We had room 309, so only angled view of ocean from our room. I’ve included map of property to show which rooms have views, although not sure you can request

Hotel is lovely - it's in a great location, right on the beach. Great value for the price, including free breakfast. We had a standard ocean-facing room, which was perfect - balcony with shutters and a beautiful view. Room size is decent and great for two people. Tons of movies and TV shows (free) on the TV was a very nice touch. Pool and hot tub were very nice, and could walk right out to the beach - also beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels provided. Would stay again and recommend!

I think the bed was a full size so a little small. Breakfast and coffee could be improved (but it's free so honestly no complaints). Pretty punctual with check-in/out.

Right on the beach promenade. I had a sea front room on the first floor - if you want an actual view of the sea from the room, make sure you ask for one on floor 2 or 3. Totally clean and staff were amazing - so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included, if you like waffles, hash browns, bacon thing.

Noise insultation could be better. You hear people in the corridor, doors slamming etc. I would avoid rooms on the first floor by the laundry room and door to the pool area. s a green tea drinker, the in-rooom coffee pod thing was no use to me, but there was hot water available 24hours in the breakfast room.

The location is great, right on the beach, and walking distance from good eating. I was in town for a conference at a resort about 2 blocks away, I’m happy I stayed at the Ocean Park Inn, it was way more affordable and the rooms were nicer. Bed was super comfortable, room spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Staff were very friendly and super helpful.

The hotel is right next to loud bars that open until late on the weekend. Even though the staff were so kind to put me in a room on the other side of the building, the noise was still audible. Similarly, as in many US hotels, the ventilation system fans created a lot of noise. As I am a light sleeper I used earplugs and slept fine in the super comfy bed. Breakfast, while free, was a bit underwhelming.

The location was so much fun! Walking from the hotel right onto the beach in the morning and evening and then stopping at great places to eat right off the beach was great! The hotel was clean, and the staff was kind and very helpful. Breakfast was great, too!

We were told by Uber drivers that Pacific Beach is hard to get in and out of, but we had no trouble at all. It was a 10 min Uber ride to SeaWorld and about 20 min to the zoo, which we thought was a good trade off for being able to be right on the beach!

I loved the location, my husband wanted on the ocean. The rooms were nice and clean and everyone was friendly. We enjoyed walking along the boardwalk every morning. We took an Uber or Lyft when we wanted to go into town for sailing and a concert at the Shell. We will stay there again, if we ever get back to San Diego.

I really can't think of anything,.... maybe granola to add to the yogurt and more fresh fruit.

The Ocean Park Inn was phenomenal in every aspect. Its decor is bright and cheery. Its location is fantastic with just the promenade and sea wall between it and the beach. It was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in! The staff, whether front desk, breakfast room attendant, housekeeping or maintenance, worked hard to maintain this pristine and welcoming atmosphere! They were also extremely friendly and professional. I will be recommending it to my friends and would love to go back soon! The underground, secured parking was extremely convenient (acknowledging the additional cost per day).

The breakfast, while very good, could offer more day-to-day variety in the hot dishes. While not a commentary on the hotel, walking after dark a few blocks eastward from the hotel (away from the beachfront), seemed to be a bit sketchy in spots.

Despite being a first-time reviewer, I couldn't help but express my delight with this hotel. Its prime location offered stunning ocean views and breathtaking sunsets from our balcony, perfect for both relaxation and entertaining people-watching. The early check-in option was a pleasant surprise, and the friendly staff provided excellent recommendations for nearby activities. The hotel struck a balance between affordability and quality, with fun decor adding a playful touch. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the beds offered exceptional comfort. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations, providing great value for the price, and I'm eager to return for another delightful stay.

The $35 parking charge was hefty, but understandable due to the location.
