The Bristol Hotel San Diego

Clean and modern room. Nice decor. Fluffy towels. No breakfast offered. Coffee and mini fridge in room

Was not told rooms would not be serviced unless requested. Once we requested fresh towels they immediately arrived. Wish we had been told about the city’s free downtown shuttle sooner.

The room was clean. Bed and pillow were comfortable. Appreciated the snacks and coffee provided in the morning. Lobby was welcoming and cozy to be in. Rooms and corridor were nicely lit. Staff were helpful and clear with their explanations. Walking distance to Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter and the Convention Centre.

Drainage system in bathroom can be better. Instead of coffee machine, can offer to allow boiling of water. Provide washable cups instead of paper cups. Allow single bed options for individuals staying in a room.

the room was comfortable and clean. The gum was decent and clean. The hotel was very quiet neighborhood was quiet. Great access from airport via one local bus (992)

It would have been nice to have housekeeping once during 3 night stay. Desk staff was almost always in their backroom, not at desk although they came when we came to the desk. It always felt very deserted. It wa almost impossible to adjust roo temp - and it was unusually cool while we were there and room felt cold.

Honestly this property was perfect for the price! Located in an amazing area. No amenities but that was fine for a couple on vacation, we didn’t need them. Also no parking, but we chose rideshare anyways. This hotel exceeding my expectations, the room was way larger than expected and had a great view! They even let us check in at 1:30 even though check in wasn’t until 4, I cannot stay how much of a lifesaver this was as our flight landed at 7am!

The location of the hotel is excellent. We came for comic con and it was literally a straight line down to the convention centre. The Gaslamp District is a few blocks away and the main train station is also a few blocks away. The rooms are lovely and very spacious. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The hotel is incredibly quiet. I don't think we ever heard a noise from outside or the sound of anyone's door being closed along our floor. The staff are very attentive and friendly. We had a few issues in our room when we first arrived (TV and safe not working) and the staff sent the maintenance man up to the room within minutes to sort it out. Free WiFi is available and works well.

Lack of a bar or restaurant in the hotel is a bit of a shame, but there are many places around to go to. Not so much of something we didn't like, but they advertise visiting their market in the lobby to get food and drink, but it's literally just a shelf with some crisps on and a fridge 😂 made us laugh! The rooms get incredibly cold at points with the aircon. We adjusted it several times but it still kept going back to what it was. It's nice in the evening but if you're in your room in the day it gets a bit chilly!

First off, the employees were so nice and helpful throughout the whole hotel. The location was perfect, only a 20 min walk or 6 min uber to the waterfront park where the festival we attended was at. We felt safe and secure the entire time. Valet was on point. We were allowed a early check in and had a great view without even requesting it! Room was smaller but fine for us as we just needed a place to sleep and it was the cheapest room. Can go on and on about this place and we def will come back when we visit DT San Diego!

Gym was really small but not a deal breaker. Can be a little noisy at night from street but didn't bother my partner and I. It's located in the middle of the city what do people expect!

the room had a view. room 906 in particular. the gym was well equipped, although the 10, 15, 20, 15 lbs weights were missing. I like that there was a safe in the room, and the couches in the room was a nice touch.

the missing weights in the gym and the broken shower door handle in my room (room 906). maybe a small microwave oven would help? to be fair, there was a microwave oven near the front desk, for everyone to use.

The hotel offered all the "must have's" for a comfortable stay. the room was classic yet stylish with a modern twist. the lobby also welcoming..the only thing that was missing was the restaurant, which I was told is soon to come. the service including the call requesting a new remote control was immediate, no waiting and service with a smile. The location also close to the the marina, Convention Center, restaurants and bars all over the place. I would highly recommend this hotel. Bravo !!

the restaurant and bar would have been a great additions. Hope to see it soon. It's the perfect setting for an after dinner drink.

The beds were super comfy, the shower was good; it was a nice place on the whole. The white guy and women on staff couldn't have been nicer.

The guy at the desk when we got there told us we had a room with a view - it was of a parking lot; and he gave us directions to get to the Gaslamp district that took into dodgy territory when we could have taken a more travelled, better lit route. Other than that, our trip was excellent. Oh, and the noise from the room next door and the street was pretty bad.

room was nice on the 6th floor facing the city, close to our favorite beach pacific beach. gas lamp district is in walking distance and valet parking was very simple. very quiet hotel and comfortable bed

no complaints except police blocked off main road by hotel first night of our stay for serval hours. parking prices were a little steep and the shower could have had better water pressure as well as toilet
