This was the best deal for a good place downtown--I was very happy to find it and would absolutely stay again. Really liked the decor. The staff were extremely helpful, thank you!

Nothing that is up to the hotel, they were *great*. The neighborhood is a bit rough. I did *not* feel unsafe but it is dirty and people on the street might yell and act agitated. This could happen many places in the city however, and is much more complex than this review!

The staff were exceptional. Best customer service I've experienced in a US hotel. Very kind, flexible, friendly and welcoming. Accommodated to hold my luggage when I arrived early and also on my day of departure until it was time for me to go back to the airport. Allowed me to check-in early as well. The location was super close to Powell St. BART station which I used to travel from and to SFO airport. The room was clean and had all amenities available. The bed was very comfortable. A snack box and drinks in the mini-refrigerator for reasonable prices. The bath accessories and moisturizer provided in the bathroom were quality products. The room service folks were super polite and nice. The hotel neighborhood seemed safe even late in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants and food choices nearby. The Powell St. tram car station is next to the hotel too, so you can use that to reach other attractions in downtown SF. Overall I was very happy with my stay and I will definitely choose Hotel Fusion if I visit SF again.

The hotel has a great location! When you take the bart, it's like a minute's walk(so there's no problem with the luggage), as well as the cable car. I will recommend staying at this hotel! It's very well located, and for the price, it's excellent! It has everything that you need; it also includes a mini fridge if you need to put water in it. Some things that are around the area: CVS, Walgreens, Target, a lot of food options, the big bus stop (tour) and many more! Also, if you do your check-in and check-out with them, you can leave your bags with them all day!

The beds could be better; I stayed in an individual bed. But nothing uncomfortable at all!

Great location in the middle of everything and next to a mall with the highest class food court I've ever seen in my life. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the rooms were well apportioned.

The building is old and the floors squeak and creak like crazy. Surprisingly, it's still relatively quiet inside the actual rooms. Every time I moved though, I felt like I was disturbing the neighbors from the rattling and rolling. Each room has a private restroom, which is awesome, but if you aren't Vern Troyer, you're going to have a difficult time squeezing in there.

- Location in Union Square was good - was a 5 minute walk from the Powell Bart Station. - Lobby was clean, there was an elevator - Room was clean and had all the necessary amenities (e.g., hairdryer, soap/shampoo, towels, ironing board)

- Room was small for 2 pax with big luggages (but this was known upfront, so not a fault of the hotel) - Be aware that the hotel is approximately 1 block away from Tenderloin, which is best avoided at night. Again, this is not a criticism of the hotel, but something to be aware of

Nice room and could open windows. Comfy bed and plenty coffee downstairs and in room. Rooms cleaned everyday and they let me check in early and hold bags when I checked out. So clean and friendly staff! Would stay again.

Some homeless at the bottom of Powell, but fine outside hotel. Felt pretty safe here. Just avoid the Tenderloin which is the suburb next door. If you walk up to Post Street from Mason or Powell, you'll avoid it.

It is in a great central location. Walking distance to many attractions and neighborhoods and right out the door to BART and muni transit and cable cars. BART is a quick cheap trip to SFO ($9.65). Major shopping from dept stores to Trader Joe's (save money on some food stuff, Peet's coffee, Walgreens etc. Isolated from but still close to tenderloin which you want to avoid (and hotel also alerted me). Also around corner from all major car in-city rental car pickups/dropoffs (limited hours compared to SFO but MUCH cheaper than renting at airport). Hotel is clean; rooms are "modest" but very comfortable. Staff is immensely helpful. No "business" facility (eg. computer/printer) but staff happy to print docs sent by email. Wifi good. The major downside, for some, especially couples, is that if you are looking for that "doormanned entrance" and an exit to a nice evening stroll to out-the-door restaurants, window shopping, bars, nightlife, this is not the place...it is a central business district which is pretty dead at night. That said, Ubers, etc. are plentiful, pretty inexpensive, and a short hop to any neighborhood that would meet that need.

to my recollection, no basic amenity like ice/soda machine. Would have preferred common pc terminal for printing rather than emailing doc to desk. A significant deficiency but not hotels fault is there seems to be absolutely no nearby self-service or drop-off/pickup laundry in the area. (one in tenderloin you would not want to go to). Hotel had no recommendation. It would be great if they could identify a reasonable priced service that would serve the hotel. [I found one online but outrageously expensive -- more like a high end "concierge" service.)

Good location 2 minute walk to metro trains and trams. Good value for money as SF goes but still spenny especially for the size of the room. Bed was really comfortable and room was basic but clean. Air con was good but extremely noisy ok for us in September but would be an issue to sleep with it on.

Staff on check in were fantastic, on checkout they were so rude and uninterested sitting on their phones especially the concierge when we went to collect bags he was less than helpful. Air con noise. Certain small things just need more attention to make this a better stay, for example the curtain rail wasn’t fit for purpose the whole bathroom was drowned because the rail was bent and led to water all over the floor.

- I really appreciated staff and it was one of the big highlights of this hotel. We didn't expect it but we could use the room much earlier than check-in hour and this was SO nice and helpful! - Localisation is really amazing, very central, so close to everything and also to all the means of transportation needed. Also just 30 min by metro from the airport.

- It's not a big deal, but the room was really small (not even possible to open two luggage at the same time), it was not really like on the photo, there was no desk and the view was a bit disappointing - it was a view on a plein wall which was situated like 1,5 m from the window. Apart of this it was still cozy. Bed was a bit small but comfortable.

As the rooms are smaller (San Fran life), using wooden bedframes takes up unnecessary space in the room and resulted in a couple of shin bruises. How the merchant processed the payment via booking.com resulted in a £20 non-Sterling fee occurring, but this didn't happen with other overseas merchants who processed via booking.com.
