Staff was very nice. Very clean hotel. Location was fantastic. Good price. Bed was comfortable

-The sink is TINY. Not small, TINY. Anything you do means a floor full of water. And forget about bending over the sink to wash your face because there is a shelf right above that covers half of the sink. -There's no trashcan in the room. -The lights in the room turn off after a period of time but don't turn back on with motion. You have to get up and turn them back on. -I was in the King Suite which is a decent size for a hotel room by union square but the seating was horrible. A wicker love seat and metal coffee shop chairs. Very uncomfortable. -Very loud alleyway behind hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Palihotel! I was a little worried that it wouldn't live up to the photos after I read some of the reviews, but it really did! Our room was spacious, clean and stylish. The bed was so comfortable we both slept for 13 hours on our first night (though we were jet lagged too). The bathroom was also spacious and had everything we needed. I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness but can honestly say our room and bathroom was very clean. We were on the seventh floor so we had a decent view (nothing amazing but that's not what we were paying for). The lift is great when you have heavy cases but we mostly just used the stairs. The staff were very helpful - especially the gentleman who went above and beyond to find an adapter for my girlfriend's hair curlers. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as it's quite expensive, but the complementary coffee in our room was much appreciated. The location of this hotel is excellent. We walked all over the city from the hotel, including to Fisherman's Wharf and all the way over the Golden Gate Park. Powell Street subway station is a 5 minute walk away and there's a bus stop literally outside which is a great way to quickly get back from the north of the city. It is fairly close to the Tenderloin district, but it becomes very obvious if you stumble into that area and you can easily avoid if it you prefer. Overall, I think this hotel was excellent value for money and we we really happy staying here. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The bed sheets were slightly ripped in the corners so could do with being replaced. The extras like breakfast and the minibar were extremely expensive in my opinion ($5 for a Snickers bar) so we opted to eat out instead.

Everything was clean and the room was very comfortable. The room is big enough and you have enough space for your luggage and stuff. It was super easy with parking in the garage and everybody is very friendly both in the hotel and in the garage. To getting around in SF the location is highly recommended. We were able to walk to almost every famous spot.

The price per night is high, but in SF everything is expansive :D so, we would recommend a stay in that hotel.

Really lovely hotel, scrupulously clean and has a very stylish decor. Friendly staff that were happy to answer any questions. Central location - close to china town, ferry building and Lombard st all within walking distance. Some great coffee shops and cocktail bars nearby. The hotel also just smells amazing and the added bonus of diptyque products in the rooms made our stay!

Location - always felt safe when leaving the hotel but seems like it’s such a nice hotel that is should be located slightly out of downtown SF to get the credit it deserves!

design led elevated and full of character. Nice toiletries in a bathroom, art pieces everywhere and super eclectic.

the room felt too small size vs price ratio — if you’re travelling as a couple highly recommend booking a bigger room. on our first night the fire alarm went off at 1am which really didn’t help with jetlag and recovery post long flight — not the staff’s fault. shower water pressure wasn’t strong enough so took longer to shower than usual and no tea option in a room just coffee.

Location is great if you want to be in Union Square. Everything was clean and the decor is super cute and trendy. 24/7 front desk at the lobby. Elevator works great. AC and heating worked great! Restaurant staff were super friendly.

Our room had NO natural light at all. We opened all the window shutters and it was still COMPLETELY DARK during the day. We had to have lights on at all times which made the room feel claustrophobic. The windows are that kind of glass that makes it impossible to see out, but I believe we were facing the next door building. This was our biggest disappointment. On a separate note, there are no drawers and very little space to hang up clothes which made it hard to unpack. I would stay here again, but I'd book a suite and request a street facing window if possible.

Beds were massive and insanely comfortable (King Room) Room is big and bathroom facilities good Liked the Nespresso coffee machine Location is amazing- a little weird being right at the entrance to the ChinaTown tunnel but two short blocks to Union Square, close to lots of amazing coffee shops and restaurants in Nob Hill, deli and Boba shops downstairs and the #30 bus stops right outside the hotel which is a great bus line to all the tourist stops

We stayed at this hotel as were getting married in San Francisco at City Hall. We purposely chose a large room so we had enough room to get ready in the room on the wedding day. This worked out well. The staff were also super helpful - we asked the staff if it was possible to get our room cleaned prior to getting ready so the room looked nice in our wedding getting ready photos. They were super helpful in organising this and the room looked immaculate. They also have a beautiful bar area which sadly isn't open at the moment (they're offering complimentary drinks from 5-7pm* I think those are the times to make up for the bar being closed). We asked if we could use the bar area to take some photos and again the staff were super obliging. Location wise the hotel is super walkable to Union Square and all the main shops plus loads of cafes.

Our room faced out to the front - this is a busy road just past the China Town/Stockton Street Tunnel. So be prepared for loud street noise at all times of night. There's also a guy who plays the sax by the tunnel which sounds amazing but this starts early evening and goes on until around 10/11pm and the tunes repeat a lot so just be prepared for that.

Staff were so lovely and welcoming. They went to the extra effort of bringing up a bottle of wine and some small gifts for our honeymoon. The hotel was super stylish! The hotel scent was also amazing… so much so that we went to the effort of asking what it was so that we could purchase it. This is now the fragrance we use for our home in Australia. A beautiful sensory reminder of our Pali hotel stay. Absolutely loved it!

Very stylish boutique hotel. Booked their most basic queen room- it was back-facing which meant we had a view of a wall though lighting in the morning was great. Bathroom very tight (especially the sink, almost impossible to wash your face) but incredibly luxe. Loved the bathrobes, rain shower, and Diptyque toiletries. Happy hour with free wine and beer at the lobby is always a plus.

Valet parking is with an adjacent building which is not directly connected to the hotel - which means you have to lug your things down the parking garage building and around the corner before you get to the hotel entrance.
