Hilton Garden Inn Sunnyvale

Hotel is very clean. Very friendly staff. Want to take this moment to thank their staff and management - apparently most if not all hotels nearby were overbooked due to the concerts in Levi Stadium during our stay - management and staff went beyond to ensure our stay was pleasant and comfortable.

Parking was pretty tough as it took a while to find parking because hotel was full for many concert goers. Suggest hotel to have additional plan for parking situation like that.

The breakfast was OK. I liked that there was a safe available. I thought the "Welcome" on the TV was nice. The ladies at the front desk were very nice.

Making reservations through the website was horrible. There is a $70.00 "recovery fee" that could not be explained. And in spite of there being desirable room rates on the internet, the person I spoke to said he could not access the internet and could only offer what he had in front of him, which was far more expensive. I was transferred three times and still only ended up talking to the same person who seemed to be reading from a script. I ended up booking through Booking.com and getting a much better rate. And I still wonder what the "recovery fee" is about. (Undoubtedly a nonsense charge) but a significant addition to the rate.

It wasn’t too difficult to find, and the room was very nice! I also like how accommodating the staff was. The hotel does charge $20 for a parking pass for their parking lot.

There was a small mishap while I was checking out where my room was charged for food we did not order. Thankfully, when I brought it up to the hotel staff they refunded me for it.

- but I did not like the unexpected and undisclosed (until we arrived) $15 charge for parking. What possible explanation could there be for that besides greed and gouging? It isn’t that we can’t afford it, just factor it into the stated cost of the room. Have you ever been to a restaurant, sat down to eat, and have the waiter say “by the way, we’re going to charge you $15 to park outside”? Not a good look.

I didn’t like that the restaurant and bar didn’t open until 5pm especially if event days at Levi’s stadium. we planned to check in and have dinner and drinks at the hotel restaurant and bar before the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert. was very disappointed in that . hard to find parking. trucks and trailers taking up multiple stalls , along with an rv as well.

Location

No cart for multiple luggages, hotel not welcoming for non-business/work guests like myself (leisure). Long hallway to get to the elevator. First room given was hot at 77 degrees; was moved to another room because thermostat was not working.

The breakfast was not appealing. Location is convenient for somebody on a business trip in the Silicon Valley.

Ridiculous to charge for parking in the middle of nowhere with plenty of parking spots available

I loved the spacious room and cleanliness of the place. it was very comfortable and I felt very safe in this building. The employees are very kind and understanding!

The only thing I did not like about this hotel was the bathroom door, considering the fact that it can't lock and only slides open and close.

The hotel facilities and staff are great

Still not great to pay for parking. Not sure why you need to let the hotel know you need your room cleaned each day, I wasn't told I needed to call frontdesk to ask for this.

Everything. Quality rooms, no nasty hotel smell, everything was just really clean. Nice tv. It had a microwave, refrigerator and a coffee maker. This was a 10/10 hotel in my book.
