Ayres Hotel Vista Carlsbad

This was our fifth or sixth time staying at Ayres and we are never disappointed. The staff members always make us feel comfortable and were very attentive to our needs. Everything is always clean and well organized. Pets are allowed but you would never know unless you physically see them. We always ask for a room at the end of the hall and for the most part, the hotel always fulfills our request. The rooms are spacious and well-lit. The bathrooms are big as well with a nice size shower/bathtub. Everything is so clean and sanitized which is a huge factor when we book hotels. Joy is amazing and she made us feel like Ayres was our home away from home.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel or the staff. However, there was a lot more foot traffic and noise than they normally have due to some youth sports events and wedding guest in town for a wedding.

The room appeared clean and was relatively spacious. The hotel is located in a somewhat unique location with potentially beautiful views. I also appreciate the fact that this is a pet-friendly location.

I did not appreciate that the shower did not drain at a pace rapid enough to prevent water from rising; being disgusted of germs, I decided not to shower as the water would certainly immediately rise past the soles of my shower-shoes and touch my feet, something I find disgusting - fortunately this was a single night stay. Unfortunately, this makes two-out-of-two Ayres hotels in which we were unable to use the shower. The elevators were quite creaky and a bit rougher than one may be used to; this caused us to use the stairs. The view from the hotel window left much to be desired - this was not a great concern.

The hotel has a very modern feel and is extremely clean. The workout room is awesome and well equipped. I was quite impressed. The kitchen chef, Katherine was wonderful and made great omelets. The front office staff was very welcoming and warm.

The walls seem to be very thin. Every time the neighbors opened or closed their door, it was loud in our room as well. Few of the outlets needed to be reset before used. I thought my cell phone was charging all night but woke up to a phone about to be out of charge. Parking can be difficult at certain times of the night.

The room was very clean and the beds comfortable plus it had a 50 in HD TV with coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge. The bathroom had a nice deluxe bathtub and shower plus the sink and mirror was located outside the bathroom which made it easier for everyone to get ready for the day or night. Plenty of electrical outlets and the room was a good size too plus a table/desk with swivel chair to eat or work from and an easy chair to relax in. To top it all off a good hot free breakfast with made to order omelets and great coffee 24/7, great area with nearby restaurants, as a plus this is a very new hotel to boot. A nice gym and pool with spa area also is located there for your use so overall a great hotel for the price to be sure.

The only things I was disappointed in was there is no restaurant located in the hotel plus the bar is only open Tuesday through Saturday from 5pm to 9pm. The pool area and the pool it's self is on the small side but other then that a great hotel to stay at.

Parking had numerous electric chargers, plenty of parking in my experience. Check in was easy, and staff was very welcoming as well as informative. It was nice to see the manager Carl being hands on and very welcoming, full of smiles. My room was clean and open, lighting was very modern and plenty, had all the amenities needed, room access had the signal instead of swiping a card so it made access easier. Hotel felt very secure, all entries required card access so I felt very safe. I brought my two pups, and the accommodations were extremely reasonable plus they had a little doggie area with bags available. The pool and jacuzzi were heated and open. They had a really nicely lit outside patio lounge area with plenty of seating, a really nice wind down area. The breakfast was to go and they offered as much as one could taking Covid-19 policies into practice. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and at a very reasonable rate. I definitely will be staying here again! 10/10 A+++

Everything was great, there wasn't anything not to like in my experience.

We enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi. The breakfast was great. A cook making omelets and a waffle maker. The crowd can get large at breakfast and there wasn’t enough staff one morning replenishing food but mostly it was excellent. Will stay again

One morning at breakfast we needed some food and the cook was making omelettes and she needed help but there was no one to help her.

It's clean and bright, usually quiet, and the beds are super comfortable. I've tried several other places in this same area, and the Ayers is my favorite. I would highly recommend it.

I wish it was just a few dollars cheaper. With taxes and fees it usually comes to about $170 or per night. If it was $150 that would be the sweet spot. I know it's only a few dollars, and it is on the company account, but I can't help feeling it could be just a little cheaper. I wish there was a frequent traveler program or something.

Loved the cleanliness, room size, staff warmth and professionalism!! This is the BEST hotel we have stayed in! Everyone was super nice genuinely and warm. The room size was excellent and accomadated my family of 4 including our 7 week old! We will be stayi g at Ayres wherever there is one when we travel! The boxed breakfast was super good too! We cannot complain!

The only little drawback was the pressure of the shower. It was still manageable.

I loved everything about the Hotel. The staff was very attentive and professional. They made you feel ad if you a part of their team. The location was close to the main street but we could not hear any traffic. Our room was amazing besides one of thr beds having stained linens but the staff tending to the issues pretty quick. The breakfast was nice and the overall hotel was extremely clean. The room was overall a great size and very comfortable. I would have to say the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I didn't have any back issues after waking up and I even asked the front desk what brand mattress they use. The room was very bright and inviting. I absolutely love this hotel and worth the price.

Although I know pets are allowed, I felt I could smell the scent of dogs sometimes but nothing overpowering.

Been here several times. Really like it! Lovely design, super clean, great location, new, great covid precautions. This last night the prices per night were super cheap! Oh, they added more trash cans, so there is more than one per room now! Yay!

Ok, the bedding is weird! The sheets don’t stay put on the bed! And there isn’t much protecting the mattresses. Pillows aren’t comfortable. More blankets are needed!
