TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Diego Carlsbad / Vista

We were almost sad to leave this property. The staff was extremely nice, the room was well appointed. The storage for long term at first seemed a little oddly arranged, but after we got everything put away we had lots of cupboard space to spare. It was in the nicest plaza with a Starbucks, an Italian restaurant and a Mexican restaurant plus a liquor store. There are two grills on premises. We had a room on the back side of the hotel which is nice because there is a row of trees between the hotel and a housing complex - this made it feel very homey. In and out was easy - 15 minutes to the beach, 3 minutes to the closest grocery store, nice area to walk including a small park.

If there was anything at all we didn't like it was limited to the soap. The soap didn't lather well, but the shower was great!

Great location. Clean. I liked the kitchenette so I could stock and cook my own items.. good breakfast. Very friendly staff.

There was a group of pre-teens one night who had to run every time they were in the hallway but that was a chaperone/parent issue not the hotel.

the staff && how extremely accommodating they were, especially Andrea! she’s such an angel && definitely deserves a raise for how attentive && hospitable she was throughout the duration of mine && my families stay with you guys!

Nice little kitchenette. Tons of storage. Love the table on wheels that can be used to eat or as more desk space or whatever. We were hunkered down due to covid so did jigsaw puzzles and put it under the desk when not working on it. This is the only hotel we’ve stayed at that has the grab and go breakfast. Every hotel advertises free breakfast but doesn’t provide it “due to covid”. What is the difference between takeout food that is allowed and a grabngo breakfast. Speaking of takeout there are several restaurants in the same parking lot. Best pizza in SD county, Mexican, sandwiches and a drive through Starbucks. Hotel is in the suburbs so quiet at night.

The pots in the kitchen were cheap and scratched up. I understand. If they were nice someone might take them home. Advice? Bring one with you and a good knife.

Nice size rooms and even though we didn’t use the oven/stove it was a nice amenity to have.

Parking was limited and I could hear the neighbor in the room next door with a crying baby.

Very clean, friendly staff all the way around. Loved the location and the fact there were food places within the same parking lot. Also loved that there was a full kitchen! Great when traveling with kids.

The sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but otherwise this place is amazing. Love that it also has a laundry facility if needed.

The location was perfect since we planned a weekend trip to LEGOLAND. It was less than a 20 minute drive. The room was also comfortable and clean.

The only exception was the AC didn’t get as cool as I expected.

I didn't get the breakfast experience. But the pizzaria and mexican spot made things easy for. The gas station and carwash was a plus too.

Let customers know of whats near by and common. Shopping centers and different eateries. Local hot spots and wineries even. The carpet in our room felt sticky is some areas, which was awkward but i managed.

The room was very spacious, much more than we expected actually. All facilities and more were provided. We loved the place!

There was nothing we did not like.

Full kitchen, clean dishes, dishwasher and full sized fridge! Beds were comfortable. One of the hotel staff helped set up the WiFi so we could watch movies. There were several great eateries in the same parking lot. The Taco place had great Mexican food. It was reasonably priced for our 2 night stay. I’d go back!
