Location, location, location!! The trail to Lower Yosemite Falls is an easy walk from here. It was worth paying a little more to stay in the park instead of driving 30-45 minutes each way twice a day - especially with skyrocketing gas prices. $$$ After reading others' reviews and seeing the photos, we didn't expect a 5-star hotel. The rooms are rustic and a bit dated but we didn't come to Yosemite to stay in our rooms. We only needed a clean, comfortable, safe place to sleep and shower and that's what we found. They were still extremely short-staffed because of COVID (we were told it was mainly due to restrictions of only one person per dorm room) We expected long lines at the restaurants so we weren't upset about waiting for a while. All the staff that we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, even though some were obviously trying to do the job of 2-3 people. There were two charging stations in front of our building for electric cars.

No WiFi in the room - we were forewarned about that, no microwave, and no light switch by the door. The closest one was at a weird place, almost on top of the bathroom vanity top. 5 PM check-in is way too late. If you need it to be completely dark while you sleep, you might want to bring an eye mask. One of our rooms only had a curtain over the large window, not over the door outside. It had slats so no one could see in but they didn't keep out the light.

The heating, the bathroom and the beds were nice. The fact that we were given the option to be in ground floor was nice too since there are no elevators. The summary sheet with info and map given at check in were really good.

Breakfast was a bit expensive. The information about the restaurants was little. Perhaps staff can explain better the options as we arrived at night and did not have much time to check for options. We went to the bar which had a great atmosphere but very little options for children. Service was slow as it was very full. As we needed to empty the car totally a luggage trolley could have been very useful.

We had a nice corner room with a nice view to the mountains, even a slight view to Yosemite Falls. The bed was very comfortable, we slept great. The heating was good. We loved the Mountain Lodge Bar and sitting around the log fire in the middle of the bar. We even had a casual dinner there one evening. We also enjoyed dining at the restaurant one evening. It was pretty pricey, but very good and the atmosphere cozy and nice.

The walls are pretty thin, we could hear our neighbor sneeze in the room next door. Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

Location was the best part of the trip. Short drive to many of the trails and viewpoints, some even close enough to walk to. My husband and I are already looking forward to our next stay!

The room had some spider webs throughout the room which could be cleaned up a bit. Our specific room did not have a phone or Wi-Fi but we did read that it was coming soon.

You really couldn’t ask for more of this hotel whilst visiting the park. the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. It isn’t a 5 star resort but you can walk from here to a lot of the attractions in the park. We really couldn’t have asked for a better location. The staff were so friendly and helpful with any questions that we had. The view from every single angle at this property are just breathtaking. we had a view from our terrace of Yosemite Falls, each night we sat here at watched sunset, all you can hear is the powerful water fall from the top and there really isn’t a sound like it. I could have stayed here forever.

there aren’t very many options of where to eat inside Yosemite Valley and the food on offer could be much better, but this is a small niggle from an overall very happy stay

The location was fantastic; close to everything in the Valley. We had a view of Yosemite Falls from our balcony. The staff was great. There was plenty of hot water, the fridge worked and the room was clean. Alcohol prices at the bar were very reasonable for California and the food wasn’t too bad.

The Yosemite Lodge is basically a roadside motel with premium pricing. You need to understand that you’re paying for the location. Our room in the Elderberry building, though clean, was VERY tired, but it seemed as if some of the other buildings might be renovated. One of the beds was pushed up against the radiator, making it necessary to choose between turning off the heat and freezing or keeping it on and roasting. Room was dark and gloomy, even with the blinds open. This may be a plus in the summer since I don’t think the rooms are air conditioned. Limited food options.

Yosemite valley: close to short hikes, near trailheads for longer hikes, in the center of God’s beauty. Room is rustic but comfortable. Hot water is available. Food / cafeteria is a short walk from our room. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

Room is rustic but comfortable. “Milk barn” type heater for bathroom didn’t work (broken knob). Hot water was available, mostly after 10 AM and before 6 PM. Had a lovely balcony, but the access door was jammed shut. The cafeteria had the same menu for three consecutive days: meat balls, salmon, chicken strips and vegetarian chile.

Not over crowded. Friendly staff good lodging location

Free shuttle service was not well explained as there were less busses due to construction. The shuttle stops had been changed but the park guide was not updated

the room was very clean and location was beautiful. we lucked out by getting a room with a view of the Yosemite falls amd half dome. it was quiet and accessible to the restaurants and front desk within an easy walk.

The check in time was 5:00 pm. Luckily we got into our room a bit early but it does take time away from enjoying the room and a bit of phone tag when you pre check in and then have to go back to get keys. Also with check out at 10 that seems a bit short on time compared to other places.

Location of lodge just 5 minutes away from Lower falls. I walked over a nice path.

No house keeping available on a daily basis. No security safe in room guest. Power outage when we just checked in. No discount on rate. Please have all your cell/cameras/ charges and a flashlights needed charged before sleeping or going out at night. The view requested with balcony had a poor view overlooking their lobby and other lodge facing the opposite of lower falls. Room 4229 balcony level does not face the main attractions.
