Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort - Amazing access to local trails & the Garden

Great location, I was able to get everywhere I needed in 15 minutes or less. Walking distance to Garden of the Gods which was a huge plus. So many things to enjoy around such as doiwntown, Manitou Springs, Old Colorado city and so much more.

The only thing that went wrong is on one of my nights I stayed, someone next store to me took our parking spot and when I informed the staff they just told me to park in the back parking which was far from our room. When I reserved it says the room includes parking right in front of your room. However the next night, the staff put cones to ensure everyone got there parking spot in front of there lodge so that was good.

The staff was great! Everyone was super friendly and helpful. When I came to the lobby and asked for anything, I was helped immediately. The breakfast was great and the location was amazing! The bikes and pool were fun! The bar in the lobby was fun, and the open mic night was unique! Overall, we absolutely loved our stay!

Regulating the temperature in the room was difficult. Keeping the air conditioning on left the room feeling very damp. Only one of 3 windows could open and had a screen. We were told housekeeping would come to change out towels and freshen toiletries on our 3rd day, but that never happened.(But as stated earlier, anytime I went to the lobby and asked for towels or anything, I was helped with a smile!) The futon was not ideal as a bed for a grown adult. Had I known it wouldn’t be very comfortable, I probably would have gotten a different room with another actual mattress.

They had the most extensive breakfast I’ve seen since COVID hit and most lodging cut back on breakfast selections or minimized it or did away with it altogether. They had hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, a cereal selection, two kinds of fruit, a waffle maker with Nutella, peanut butter, honey butter, syrup and more. They had juice and coffee, though the coffee was very weak. Breakfast was served in a common area with a bunch of tables. They had a shelf with board games, a piano, a screen softly playing good oldies, and a plethora of bicycle memorabilia. For those who love biking, it was perfect, as you could use the bikes for free and our room had a cute bike theme.

It cost more than what we like to spend. It was $172 per night.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The customer service was exceptional; everyone was so welcoming, joyful, friendly, and helpful! The community areas and the bar were such a treat! The property has so much personality and feels like a destination in itself! The room was very comfortable and nice. The breakfast had many options and lots of our preferred options (fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, waffles, and many other things). The location was perfect! We could have walked to Garden of the Gods park & to places to eat/drink. We could also drive to many nice parks/hikes & adorable towns within a very short time. I hope the pricing stays as reasonable as it was for our visit and I hope to be back one day!

There was nothing I didn’t like! If I could offer requests, I have two. 1. Adding a full length mirror in the room. 2. Adding a little more storage in the bathroom.

We LOVED the rustic look of the outside and new, sleek, modern homeyness and spotless interior! We loved the free bikes to ride around, the lounge/breakfast/common area and the pool was great as well! It was warm enough even I, mom, got in and swam with my husband and son - that RARELY happens, lol! We enjoyed the entire experience and plan to return any and every time we come back to Colorado/Manitou Springs, which is nearly every year!

Only that we didn’t get there in time for me to get in on the weekly yoga class on Tuesday evening, totally bummed about that, hopefully next time!

Loved the location right next to the Garden of the Gods. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. The bed was especially comfortable. TV was modern and WiFi good. Complimentary bikes was great - I was able to cycle around the Garden of the Gods. Bar/ breakfast area nice. I liked the bicycle theme. Overall we really liked it here.

The outside is looking a bit tired, but it is old. Inside was much better. While the bed was comfortable, due to the bicycle tires on it the headboard wasn't. The heating was a bit hard to operate. No mesh curtains so the curtains needed to be closed for privacy.

The property looks very historic and has recently been redone. The atmosphere is quaint and welcoming. We got to meet the owner who has a delightful story and all the hard work she has put in to designing the rooms with the bicycle theme turned out beautifully. We could not have been happier with the staff or the amenities. It is an older motel that has been redone. I would recommend it to all my friends and plan on staying there at my next visit. It is right at the base of garden of gods of the convenience of the location is also attend.

The office where are you greet and check in and also has a little bar closes at 9 PM However, the outside area is very accommodating after 9 PM if you’re still out.

The rooms were quaint and nicely decorated. Beds were the most comfortable we have had while traveling and we travel alot!!! The location was perfect next to the Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, both just minutes away. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and the coffee at the lodge was great. We didn't get a chance for breakfast as we had to check out before breakfast to get to a race. But they even allowed us to come back after we checked out after our race to take a shower at the pool side showers and gave us pool towels. We plan to definitely go back and stay longer and take advantage of the free bikes on site. They also had live music near the lodge in the early evening which was nice and also nice that we could not hear it from our room when we went back to it.

This place was truly amazing and a gem. There was nothing not to like. This family owned motel has a lot of personal touches and is in a great location if you are exploring Garden of the Gods or Manitou Springs.

Room was large enough for three of us and beds were very comfortable. Location was good, due to the fact that it was easy to get in and out from. Breakfast was okay! Staff were all very friendly every time we had questions. Loved the fact that bikes were available to ride on.

A little disappointed that we could not enjoy the patio up front unless you bought the beer from the location. Also no internet or phone signal in the back area. (not good at all).

The Buffalo Lodge is in a perfect quiet location, close to all amenities and tourist attractions super close to all local breweries and eateries in town. The staff is super amazing friendly and make you feel like family ask for Torie the owner, who was super amazing and the perfect host: shes extremely knowledgeable about the whole locations around town. Can’t wait to visit Buffalo Lodge again…!!!!

There is absolutely nothing to dislike about the Buffalo Lodge - the beds are super comfy - the lodge is extremely welcoming with plenty of cool treats. This is a must see, and a must stay for all visitors planning to visit Colorado Springs.
