Budget Inn Durango

Lovely welcome on arrival. Marvellous value for money considering the location which was ideal for the Durango Railway about a mile away and half a mile or so from Downtown. We opted to stay for an extra night and were given an upgraded room as our room was unavailable. Wonderful. Our rooms were comfortable and clean and tidy. If your priority is freebie shower gels then these are not supplied. A good thing too. Far too much single use plastic as it is.

There is nothing to critique

Good location, staff was amazing!!!! this might be a "budget" hotel but but don't that scare you off. You're gonna get what you need for a good night sleep. Clean sheets, hot shower, no nasty carpet, microwave, fridge. You'll feel safe, get pleasant staff, willing to help at any min. We couldn't figure the TV out and, they were there almost before I hung up the phone 👍 No, you don't get breakfast but, that's why the price is more reasonable probably. It looks like they're definitely trying to do some upgrades, which are needed. We stayed the first night in a smaller room, took the narrow gauge to Silverton and, decided to stand Durango another night so, I called to reserve another room. They were so gracious to upgrade us to a suit that had been somewhat remodeled 😁 my husband and I are normally somewhat picky about our motels. This one served us just fine for the hours we needed it. We will definitely be back to Durango and this would be our spot 👍😁

Although our stay was pleasant. And we will definitely be back. I would suggest, freshening up the rooms with newer bedspreads and pillows. They definitely have lived their life and are ready to go to the homeless.

Very nice room for a modest price, especially for Durango. The motel is across the street from a City Market and near the trolley stop which makes it a breeze to get into downtown. I was on a solo motorcycle trip and wasn’t looking for a 5 star resort. Great value.

Nothing. My expectations were met. I was looking for a clean room, nice shower, clean sheets and air conditioning. That’s what I got. What more do I need?

Staff is really friendly and helpful. Rooms are cozy and laid out nicely. Its an old style motor lodge, which appeals to me.

Soap is provided, but not shampoo. Room could use one of those luggage stands.

Friendly staff, location, PRICE, hot shower, safe n quiet. A person really can't complain. This is a clean, nice BUDGET hotel. No frills, just the accomodations needed for a good night sleep n a good hot shower. Bring your own shampoo or pick up some at the office at check in👍👍

Towels were old but clean. Felt like a turkesh towel run down🤪 Bed spreads are very old. We took ours off.

Well located on the main street and welcoming receptionist. There is a trolley bus that runs up and down the street which can take people to other parts of the town every 20 minutes. There are a number of restaurants in the immediate area(10 minute walk), or the bus if you wish to venture further afield. I would recommend Happy Pappy where the staff are very friendly and you can experience pulling your own drinks. Reception also provided a cup of coffee after 8am. What an absolutely charming town and lovely people.

The staff, especially John, were very nice, in making accommodations ti have a better room, which made a difference In making my stay more comfortable

The facilities and things like sheets, towels were old. It is what the name implies. But it worked for me in having a more affordable stay, I'm great location where I needed to go in Durango

Inexpensive basic accomodations. We were meeting people in town and travelling in, just needed a place to rest and shower... It was perfect. And the staff couldn't be more helpful or courteous.

It was hot when we stayed and the ac had a hard time keeping up, maybe our unit was just weak. And the parking was tight if you have a big vehicle.

The family room was perfect! We've never seen a three bed hotel room before, it worked out great for our family. The hotel has basic amenities, and it was very clean. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is great for taking the trolley to downtown.

The traffic is loud and the pool is not available for use.

The rooms are small but I considering the price that goes hand in hand. The staff was fabulous. Had coffee ready at 8:00 and it was very tasty. Very cordial. Joe and Cherish were helpful and kind and very informative of places to go. I have every intention of going back.

The bathroom was clean just needs update.
