Great location to downtown and train station. Wonderful view. Safe parking. Very clean and comfortable room and hotel.

There was a problem at check in when they didn’t have my reservation confirmation, even though I had the email confirmation from booking.com. They said this is a common problem when customers use booking.com for their reservations because they don’t receive the reservation from booking.com to confirm it in their system. We waited with all of our luggage in the lobby for 2 hrs until they could contact booking.com to confirm our reservation. Luckily, they had our desired room still available after everyone else was checked in. This hotel made up for the stressful beginning, so I would definitely stay here again and book directly through the hotel next time.

This property is modern, ( only 2.5 years old) exceptionally clean, & comfortable. Great location situated right on the Animas River & near the train depot, shops & restaurants. The rooms are very spacious & have lots of details that I really appreciated- good lighting, a bench that had room for 2 suitcases, hooks to hang jackets/ hats/ backpacks, as well as a closet where more clothing could be hung, glass- doored shower with shampoo, conditioner,& body wash in pump bottles in the shower. Friendly, helpful staff who all delivered excellent customer service. Appreciated the variety of choices for the complimentary breakfast & being able to make a to-go bag if in a hurry or wanting to take food back to the room. Fridge, microwave, & Keurig in the room was a nice feature, too.

Like the location next to the Animas River and our room with a balcony overlooking the river. The breakfasts were good and had a nice selection of food items. Also liked the covered parking with room key access.

The downtown shops and restaurants are only a couple blocks away from the hotel, but the city needs to improve pedestrian sidewalk access on Camino Del Rio as they are sadly lacking.

Location ideal for trip on DURANGO & Silverton railway being a 12 minute walk from terminus plus good to get in house breakfast. Enjoyed sitting on riverside terrace in the evening. Our allocated room was directly on the busy highway but on enquiry the desk clerk changed this without any fuss. Room was large, clean, well equipped and comfortable. On site parking was an additional bonus.

Our room on first floor was a little noisy early evening.

I chose the Holiday Inn Express Downtown because I was flying into Durango to pick up my car, and it had a free shuttle. The shuttle driver, Priscilla, not only drove me to the hotel but stopped at the mechanic's shop along the way and waited for me to pick up my car! All of the staff seemed to have this attitude of going the extra mile. The hotel facilities were clean and top-notch, and I really enjoyed a swim in the pool overlooking the Animas River. I highly recommend a stay here!

The Animas river flows directly next to this hotel. There is a sidewalk & benches along the property, so you can take stroll if you like. there are tables & chairs on the deck to sit outside as well. the breakfast area has tables where you can look out over the river & eat. would recommend that you pay the extra money & get a river view room- it would be worth it. Durango is hot & dry & the river just made everything feel cooler we liked the multi use pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner & shower gel in the shower. this is like what the hotels inside the national parks do, & it is so much easier than fumbling with a small bottle.

Excellent location with great views. Walking distance to everything and next to the river for some quiet “me time”. The staff is the best. Honestly some of the best people to help you with anything. We travel a lot and people like this make things so easy to be able to enjoy the trip. Breakfast is included and definitely one of my favorite perks especially when the food is fresh, tasty, with lots of options. Which theirs was every morning. The rooms are nice, updated, clean, and very comfortable. A safe in the room is such a BIG PLUS for me as I hate to carry some things everywhere. All said, I would definitely stay here again when in Durango and we most certainly will.

The river view room was fantastic - big, spacious & peaceful due to the serenity of the river view. Check in and check out was smooth. Breakfast was basic and sufficient. Free coffee round the clock in the lobby was appreciated. Location is perfect - by the Animas river trail, opposite a huge convenience store and a quick 5 min walk to main street of Durango. Hotel had an underground parking which was a bonus.

Nothing as such - all were pleasant. They charged me some city tax extra while checkout although it was written included in my booking payment during check in - which I noticed later.

The location was convenient to downtown and the rooms are well appropriated, well laid out, and the beds are comfortable. The bathroom is large, the shower worked well and was an easy step-in.

The front desk could not find my reservation for a good long time. The hotel was full, I had requested and been approved for a first floor room, but that didn't work out. The woman at the front desk was underwhelming, and lost interest in us pretty quickly and moved us off to the side while she helped someone else.

Check in was easy and the room was very nice & clean. Lots of nice storage space & hooks for your belongings. Was nice having the view of the river…would definitely recommend requesting that view otherwise you’re looking out at a busy main road.

Since we had one of the rooms that didn’t have a balcony, it would have been nice if our window opened so we could hear the river. Also, our room only had 3 towels when we had 4 people, so we had to go back down for more towels. The kids were excited for the pool, but was closed for cleaning when we were there.
