I liked that I could park right near the entrance and walk straight into my room. Clean room, cozy. I liked that they had coffee made in the morning. Very cozy and intimate place.

It is a little far off the beaten path, which is great for some people, but we had multiple plans that were based in Idaho Springs at different times of the day. So while once we got to the highway, it was only 2 miles to town, getting to the cabin was about 20 minutes through very windy roads. No TV's in room and unable to stream was slightly a miss. Most people want to hang out in their rooms and not a shared space. Other than that, main issues.

Beautiful quiet place on the mountain. Loved the comfy bed, beautiful view, the quiet ambiance in nature. Very little traffic or outside noise at this time of year! Clean room and bathroom were nice. Tea and coffee station was great, but got a little picked over and needed a refresh. The long porch is beautiful!

I think at the $250 to 350 per night price point breakfast should be included for free at any B&B. The food was good, but one egg and one slice of bacon may not be enough for some people. I believe adding in a free, hearty breakfast would increase repeat business. Also, having a tv in the room may have been preferable to a tv in a communal room.

The host, Margaret, was very accommodating. Our trip included getting stuck in deep snow due to Google Maps directions that took us down a road that wasn't maintained in the winter. She went out of her way to pick us up and was very understanding and fair as we had to stay an extra night due to the vehicle being stuck. The lodge is in a beautiful location and is an amazing place to stay. Additionally, Margaret is an amazing cook and provided one of the best meals we have ever had.

The view was spectacular from our room. Lodge is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Spectacular scenic hiking trails close by. Food (paid extra for breakfast but worth it) was excellent. Within reasonable driving distance of other local attractions near Idaho Springs. The couple who run this B&B are friendly and awesome. If you want a romantic getaway in the mountains, this is it!

Sure, I could find something to complain about, but they are “first world problems” kind of stuff. Overall this was such an overwhelmingly positive experience.

Such a beautiful place. The lodge fits the setting, with the feel of the log cabin. Not many rooms , but that adds to the comfort. The bed was super comfortable , though being older, it was a little hard to get into as they are high up. very quiet and relaxing . Was surprised to see the humming birds which were are so tiny - like big butterfly's The host / hosts - the family pitched into help. Breakfast was exceptional, I wish we could have had dinner there !

Wasn't prepared for the shortness of breadth. Coming from 600 feet above sea level to approx. 11,000 feet above sea level was a bit hard. but of course that's what was part of the charm.

Beautiful spot. A wonderful getaway. The owners are extremely courteous and take a lot of pride in their home.

A few things we wished we'd realized beforehand though: it's a trek up 3,000 feet to get up there and the last turn is gravel road so if it's been snowing you are definitely going to want all wheel or 4 wheel drive of some sort We definitely slid a bit and we had all wheel drive. Other item is there's basically a 10pm curfew no one mentioned until we went to leave. There was a sign on the door that said they lock the door at 10pm and after that it is quiet hours. Lastly there are no tv's in the rooms and the wifi isn't strong enough to stream anything. We were only there for a night so none of this bothered us but for an extended stay this wouldn't have worked for our needs

The lodge has beautiful views. We were upgraded to the Alpine Suite, which suited our needs perfectly. The breakfast was home-made, delicious and served with care. The staff were wonderful, welcoming and accommodating. We will go back.

The window opening mechanism needs replacing. We struggled to close it, lucky we had a multitool with us!

Unique beautiful location. Sweet over/ hostess who cooked us a delicious breakfast at a reasonable extra cost.

The remote location was challenging to get to. The altitude of 10,500 feet made it tough to breathe some times
