What a wonderful mansion, on the historic registry, everything was exceptional! Bobby (owner) met us at check-in and during a tour of the mansion, provided a history of Governor James Orman, his impact on Colorado in the late 1800’s and the history of building the mansion. In addition, Bobby discussed his families efforts to restore this magnificent property and several others in Pueblo to their original splendor. The history and tour were wonderful! The interior is exquisitely furnished with original wood staircases and accents throughout the house. The exterior is meticulously landscaped and beautiful in quiet neighborhood with other late 1800s homes. Our bedroom suite was very large with a king bed, en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub and sitting room perfect for relaxing and reading. The common areas throughout the three story mansion are very comfortable and inviting with plenty of seating. Although we didn’t use the kitchen it is equally exceptional. This would be the perfect retreat for a family reunion, wedding or other events needing elegance and style. The breakfast is provided at the family restaurant downtown (very close) in another late 1800’s building on the historic registry. The food was great. When we told her we were the only guests at the mansion she asked us if we experienced any ghosts of past? We didn’t but, apparently, rumors are the house may be haunted. This is a must stay mansion if your travels take you to or through Pueblo. We will definitely be back for a future stay.

This place is gorgeous! We love to stay in unique places as these usually end up being the most memorable. You are free to explore the mansion and sit in any of the public areas. I could have sat and looked around for hours just taking it all in. Our host was on site to meet us upon arrival and they really try to make it a comfortable and full experience for their guests. We had the full third floor family suite which works great for a group of adults. The snacks and drinks available in our rooms was a very nice touch as well as toiletries in the bathroom.

We were there during a bit of a heat wave with AC only in our rooms but this is to be expected in a home that was built over 100 years ago. Just something to consider if you can't deal with the heat.

Staying at this residence was one of the hi-lites of our road trip and booking it was a last minute impulse when I saw the listing. So glad that we went with this offering. The house was an experience in and of itself. A fabulous old mansion turned BnB. Our host Joe was super accommodating and helpful. We had run of all the common areas of the home. Parking was easy. Access to area attractions and the pleasant downtown area was easy. I would stay here again if ever in the area. A great kitchen, dining areas, common areas. All of it too cool to list here.

The July nights were cool, but additional fans and/or some other mode of air circulation would be helpful for the rooms that we stayed in at the front of the house. Not a big problem and would not deter me from staying here again. Everything else about the place was just a blast.

The house was beautiful and located very centrally. They have done an amazing job to restore this mansion, to give it a historical feeling. The rooms and shared areas are very comfortable and clean. The owners were very responsive to all of our questions and requests, and we felt very comfortable and welcomed. There was a large kitchen for us to store food and cook, as necessary. Plus, we were provided breakfast at a local cafe in the morning. The rooms are unique and fun. Each room / suite is very different from the rest. The first floor is common areas. The second floor has two King-bed suites and a few Queen-bed options. And the third floor is a family suite, with three bedrooms and a lounge area in the middle.

Everything about Orman mansion was great. The bed was awesome. Best sleep we have had in years. Close to royal gorge train ride, great time, garden of the gods, great pictures, and awe-inspiring views. If we had more time, we would ride the river. Pueblo is a great destination and a great point to venture out and see more of Colorado. B street Cafe is great, you have got to eat there. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The rome is huge and romantic, giving you a taste of the by gone era.This place is a must do. You could just come to rest or for adventure, you will not regret it.

This was a wonderful step back into the elegant home life in the mansion of colorado governors of the late 1800s and early 1900s.  This is not just a place to stay, it's a moment to experience.  I would rate the ambiance with that of the historic Beaumont Hotel in Ouray, Colorado.  Ironically,  there is a shop just minutes away called "Somewhere In Time" (the movie buffs will recognize the title and the correlation of stepping back into another era). The arrival started with personal greeting and tour by Joe.  The cozy common shared areas are beautifully kept in period while the 3rd floor has been upgraded to accommodate more recent amenities.  The room was even better than I had expected.  Although they have updated the HVAC system,  they still provide personal heaters and fans which made the temperature of the room comfortable.  The mattress was firm and the sheets super soft.  There are some amenities that have been brought to a more modern era, that although they might not have been perfect to the style of the period, they were a welcome upgrade.  While relaxing in the sitting rooms, you can help but to wonder if the rich history that this grand building has been part of.

What a great opportunity to enjoy beautiful 19th century decor; the entire mansion is beautifully and authentically appointed! Visiting in Winter, the mansion was still cozy--not at all drafty or creaky. Our suite was clean and roomy, with plenty of room to relax and read. Plenty of windows with ample coverings provided both sunshine and dark for sleeping. The bathroom was solid and convenient. The bed linens were soft and without fragrance! A yummy breakfast was provided by visiting a local cafe within walking distance. Joe had a wonderful recommendation for dinner: DC's On B Street, also within walking distance. This was a delightful stay! We look forward to returning in the Spring or Summer growing season to enjoy the grounds.

Meeting the brothers who were responsible for the renovation of this great manor was wonderful. They were able to give a history of the building and the city. Additionally, the breakfast is at a small restaurant only a few minutes away which served amazing food. I would recommend to anyone looking.

There was nothing not to like about the stay. The hosts did a great job getting you settled and then were out of the way from that point forward. They gave great food recommendations in town as well. It was a great experience with no issues.

Repeat customer here. Class-act family-owned property that has been the home to two Colorado governors. Orman Mansion is the type of house you always see in a town but are never invited into. Now you can have the run of it! The place is perfectly furnished and appointed, the Aveda bathroom products are a new added bonus, the location is wonderful -- and you cannot beat the price for a beyond-special experience.

This was a very special place! An old mansion that has been renovated and updated and is now used as a beautiful B&B. Everything about this property was terrific. Our room was large, spacious, had a beautiful large bathroom with walk-in shower, and a very, very comfortable bed! We stayed 2 nights in mid-Aug 2023.

The vouchers provided for the ‘free breakfast’ did not actually cover all of the cost of the breakfast at the very nice local restaurant.
