The breakfast and the location area

I did not like the fact that I could smell cigarettes smoke in the hallway and elevators. it’s not healthy for me and my family

The staff were awesome. As travelers with food allergies, we don't ever eat hotel breakfasts, but I know it was included in the stay. The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable, overall good value for the money. Super close to the train station and our goal was getting in and out of NYC easily. Worked like a charm.

The parking is limited and tight. The "gym" is kind of pitiful. But it's fine--you get what you pay for. I expected ease of transportation and a bed and a hot shower. Got all of those.

The building is old, decor is old fashioned,, but my bed and bathroom were super clean. Nice continental breakfast. Very friendly staff. They accommodated my early check in too. It was very close to where I was moving my son in Port Chester. Train station is right there. Great restaurants and green areas less than 10 minutes walking! Can't beat the prices either. Would definitely return.

Hallways abd rooms smelled old, musty . I always pack my lysol, so problem resolved. Could use newer bedspreads. Clean room carpets more often.

Great location. Good breakfast and friendly service. The beds were comfy. It was a very unique experience. When I return to CT I will definitely will stay here.

The room could use better lighting, there was only the entrance door lights and one lamp in the opposite location. Also, the walls are paper thin and you can hear the neighbor's room.

The breakfast was very nice, but it could include more protein. The selection of cold cereal, toaster waffles, breads, muffins, and fruit were very thoughtful. Breakfast meats, eggs, and proteins would be a nice nutritional addition.

I didn't like that the kitchen commissary staff publicly confronted me about taking food to my room. Their public confrontation of me in front of other guests seemed very demeaning. Taking cups of milk (for the cold cereal offered), orange juice, coffee, and cream doesn't warrant public questioning about, unless that guest's patronage is not valued.

Stopping for the night on our way home, we were not expecting anything special and were surprised: the man at reception was very friendly and welcoming; the bed very comfortable and the room quiet. Room had good WiFi, a coffee maker and fridge (always a plus). They offered a simple continental breakfast of cereal, muffins, bagels, etc. (saves at least an hour or more of travel time having to find and eat at a diner, thank you) What more could you ask for in a hotel stay? Would recommend this place and would stay again if we are in the area. Since we stayed only a single night we never explored any other hotel amenities or the area in general.

Love the antique style of the hotel, went in my room see a vase of roses, breakfast table has flower vase as well, both looks real and sweet. Room is spacious, and clean, staffs are friendly. Bed is comfortable. Office space is quiet and classic.

More varieties can be provided for breakfast.

Affordable hotel with a convenient location in terms of where we needed to be. Friendly staff, overall clean room, comfortable bed. Right next to a Taco Bell for easy food access. Near Cove Island park, which was great for birding. Breakfast included. Free and easy parking.

The carpet in certain parts of the room wasn't the cleanest. Breakfast was very basic and could have benefitted from more fruit (only unripe bananas). We would have liked more pillows (just two and somewhat flat)!

The hotel was clean but a bit outdated in its interior design. It was close to the train station which was why i chose this hotel. I would stay here again

My only issue with my stay was that i put the Do Not Disturb sigh out in the morning and housekeeping came in anyway. Also when booking the room i called your hotel directly and instead of helping me book with you your front desk agent really pushed for me to book thru a third party. I work in a hotel as a front desk agent and i found this very strange.

The staff was accommodating and friendly. I needed to extend my stay and it only took minutes to get that established. The coffee was pretty darn good, (strong enough and not bitter) I didn’t go out and buy a single cup of coffee during my stay in Connecticut! The continental breakfast didn’t include foods I typically eat, but I was happy to have a fresh banana and apple each day. It would be nice if somehow they could provide hard boiled eggs to there breakfast selection. Lastly, and very important for me the bed was firm without an overly slept in feeling to it. Thank You!

The pillows in my room were significantly to hard, I needed to use my puffer jacket stuffed into a pillow case to create a makeshift pillow that worked better for me.
