Bally's Dover

Our favorite place to stay for Valentine's Day. We liked the food and got lucky at the blackjack tables; but we fell in LOVE with the comfort & hospitality. The friendly parking staff, helpful concierge & knowledgeable front desk staff are the best in the industry. The rooms are huge, clean and comfortable too. (Also very accessible, using cane, rollator walker, or wheelchair and concierge has chairs & mobility scooters available for guests to use). I wish there was a coffee shop in lobby, BUT, the hotel store in the lobby, is run by the nicest person, &she has a good selection of cold bottled drinks & snacks. Five stars all the way!

Cleanest hotel rooms in the country. Comfortable beds, extra roomy living space, giant bathrooms, all of which are accessible with my walker and wheel chair. I love the tubs; they are large enough and clean enough to soak in. _ THIS, is my favorite place to stay. _The quiet & efficient cleaning staff are the best. _The concierge are all SO helpful; with my medical limitations, it would be hard for me to stay, without all of their help- checking in and out and help with my walker or anything I need during my stay. And last but definitely not least, the friendly & knowledgeable front desk staff. All of these great folks, make this place a true home away from home.

I did not like that when I checked in I needed to give $100 deposit on my CC, after the room was already paid for in full. When I did not have a form of cc on me I was told I would loose the room and the full amount I had paid for it. That did not seem fair to me. I drove 45 min and came back 15 minutes before the given time to check in, 8pm. I had been there since 4pm so I did come back with my CC and they charged me the $100 hold fee. Had I been told upfront they required this I would not have had to travel there, back home and then back once again to the Casino. That was very disappointing

Room was large and nicely decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was large and very clean. Large impressive entrance with and above high end restaurant and casino. ( I never went) Racetrack directly behind and full view from room. Air conditioning and TV was good.

Lobby had absolute no seating or furniture to sit and talk. Also it was a weekend and parking was extremely difficult to find and long distance from hotel entrance. Elevator was on one end and it was quite a hike to get to our room which was at the other end of a very long hall. Rates were quite expensive and most guests were gamblers.

l love the mattresses used at this facility. Slept soundly. The housekeeping staff was very responsive and nice. The Sugar Factory food was good and the waitstaff member, Mahmut, was excellent. The food and waitstaff at Longo's Meatballs and Martini's was excellent.

The courtesy coffee provided in the room was not good at all. The shower water temperature was fine but the flow was very light and it was 6 am when I took a shower. There was no Valet Service during my entire stay (Thursday, Friday and partially Saturday) and the Indoor Pool was not open. I have mobility issues and look forward to water exercises whenever possible. I guess I looked forward to these amenities since they are part of what I believe are covered by daily resort fees.

You could tell it had definitely been updated since it changed from just Dover Downs to Bally’s and everything seemed a bit brighter, fresh and even the rooms were definitely better than the older ones they used to have, especially for standard rooms. The food was great at the Longo’s Italian place and for the quality of the food the prices were definitely reasonable. They had a nice variety of games from the older slots to the more digital ones and the staff was very accommodating especially at the reservation desk, the players club and in tithe restaurants.

The only thing I had any problem with was that though the rooms seem more spacious and updated, there were no microwaves which seem to be in the evening basic hotels these days.

Bed or mattress was horrible. Not hard or soft but horrible. no support.

Bally's Dover feels luxurious. The surroundings are stunning, clean, and well maintained. It felt safe, too. The staff (from the restroom attendants, bartenders, cashiers, parking attendants, security, check-in staff) are very friendly, helpful, and overall awesome!

The pricing in the Sugar place where we ate was outrageous. I would not recommend eating there. The food was average. I would not order the sausage gravy in Just Breakfast. It was not edible.

Super clean, staff was friendly and the price for the room was on point

The check in process was horrible. The full hotel check in was at 4pm for everyone. Our family was in line for an hour and 15 minutes. Fully understand not getting in the room till 4pm - BUT its 2023 have a system that you can check in when you arrive, get a text when your room is ready/key cards activated. Not a stampede with 2 people checking in an entire hotel.

It's in a good location with a lot of shopping stores and eateries, and the Bally's sign can be seen from the highway. A good way to find the casino and hotel. And there are a lot of reasonable slots machines in the casino.

One is not enough eateries in the casinos, one of the restaurants were closed, and I didn't see a microwave in my assigned room, but there is safety box for your expensive items. And lastly, unsure why my room didn't get clean after the first night of stay.
