Location, Location, Location! A very short walk to the beach! The hotel room was generously sized, clean with comfy sheets and accommodating, friendly staff. Highly recommend the breakfast and dinner at La Cocina Intl, located inside the hotel.

The hotel is undergoing renovations and was a bit noisy in the morning. We were fully prepared for this and honestly did not really interrupt our stay at all. I also would have liked to have beach chairs and an umbrella available to rent.

I loved everything. When I booked this room, booking.com reflected that one of the amenities in the room was a balcony. In fact, when I was looking for a room on the site, I filtered to only show rooms with balconies. However, when I called the room ahead of my arrival to make sure everything was good, I was advised that my room did not have a balcony. To say I was upset was an understatement. The front desk clerk I spoke with, Candice, was absolutely phenomenal. I explained to her it was my sons 9th birthday & we had to have a balcony with the ocean view. She listened to my concerns, spoke with her manager & said they would look into it & give me a call back. I received a callback from Candice, maybe 30 minutes later, stating my room had been upgraded to a balcony & open view & we even had a jacuzzi. Not only that, when we got there to check in, she had already left for the day. But, she had a note on our check-in paper wishing my son a happy 9th birthday. Omg, that touched my soul. My son had an amazing weekend. He loved the room & the jacuzzi & balcony were his favorite. Because of Candice, this hotel will always be my first choice when staying in St Augustine.

the location was perfect- on the island- close to the beach and to bars/restaurants. every staff member we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. the room was very clean and comfortable. there was an a/c vent in the dressing area which was amazing when drying your hair!! there was a magnifying mirror helpful when applying makeup. the pool was great - there were ample towels and there was music playing- parking was a little limited but there was an overflow lot so no problem at all (and it was free)

small things that would in no way effect our decision to stay again- the ironing board was very small and didn’t always lock into place- in the afternoons there was a slight sewage like smell in the bathroom (we were in the first floor)- the restaurant was only opened for breakfast and a late dinner (8-11 I think) and was expensive (again- we were close to many eating options so that was no issue for us)

Upon arrival, the staff associate Candace was professional, welcoming/friendly! She even booked us for a tour! The decor was appealing, not the typical hotel style and location approximately 100 yards from the beach, perfect! The restaurant and staff were friendly, professional and accommodating! Meals were appealing and exceptionally delicious! Everyone we met (staff) even the maintenance crew were very professional and friendly. Our room was very clean, love the layout, especially the balcony, French doors to allow cool breeze into our room! Husband and I enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room!

The rooms were really nice and the hotel was tastefully designed. The beds were fairly comfortable as well. The beach was just a few steps away from the property, and the hot tub and pool were on site so it made it super easy to relax without having to travel far. The restaurant onsite had delicious (and affordably priced) breakfast which was a very pleasant surprise, and the staff in the restaurant and the hotel were all very nice and inviting.

The only complaint I have were that the pillows were too tall for my liking, but that's just a personal preference.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The inside decorations were unique. Rooms spacious. We used the hot tub inside the room. Other people are saying that the hotel is outdated, but I would not say so. Yes, it's not new, but it doesn't seem old to me either. Everything was working and in excellent condition.

Our neighbors behind the wall came in the middle of the night, at 3 am, and made a lot of noise. Other than that everything was nice.

The beach was right there, no crossing any streets to get to. The location wasn't far from the historical district and even closer to the lighthouse. The room was as advertised, so that was nice.

Unfortunately, several cockroaches were seen in the room. We had the room for 2 nights and kept clothing in our closed luggage instead of using drawers and closet. Also there was a miscommunication with the house cleaning staff and the room wasn't attended to.

The property is walking distance to the beach and is undergoing a renovation. The queen suite without a balcony is large and our room's shower was zero entry. The pool area is very nice and there is an onsite restaurant which we didn't try but was a nice amenity.

The room did not have its own hairdryer but there was one available at the front desk. Also, the shower did not have a place (shelving) to put any shower items.

I liked the room a lot,very clean, big hot tub, comfortable bed. The room is big. The beach is close to the hotel,but you can't see it from the window. I paid $100 , booked it in advance. Parking is free.

You got the discount for the breakfast 10%, but the lady at the desk didn't tell us, that they are going to close earlier the next day,so we hadn't a chance to try the breakfast. So some days they close at 10:30am

Nothing. Always a great experience. Third visit this year. My parents, 99 and 96 live at Allegro, St. Augustine Beach. Castillo Real is my go to Hotel. Very Comfortable!!!
