Holiday Inn Express St Augustine Dtwn - Historic, an IHG Hotel

This Holiday Inn Express is on the main street on Anastasia Island across the bridge from old St. Augustine, so a good price for the area for a comfortable, clean room, a good parking lot, & good wifi. In late December, St. Augustine is very crowded, & for whatever reason (rapid growth? Covid closures or staff shortages?) we found every restaurant had a 45min wait at 7:30pm - keep that in mind if you arrive late & hungry! BUT the "Tacos My Blessings" food truck next to Stampede (a short walk from the hotel) was AMAZING! Our burritos & fries were really delicious - this is the place to grab dinner & bring it back to the room... Along the same lines, the Holiday Inn breakfast is decent, but the little breakfast room is too small, so you may be eating in your room (or in the car!) Very happy with this overnight stay in St. Augustine - thanks!

Overall a good stay for a few days. Staff Friendly and helpful. It was recently remodeled and place was clean. You need to remember to ask for room cleaning it is not done automatically. this is good for a few day stay with a couple of people in room. It can be tight with 4 people. room had a microwave and mine fridge which was convenient.

The only geantive was things were tight. Parking lot a little small and the breakfast area was very small and got crowded. Only like 6 tables. So you either had to eat in room or in lobby. Even that small. Not enough space in bathroom and sink area. Needs some additional hooks and shelving. Closet and storage area on smaller side.

The property was very conveniently located from the beach and downtown destinations. The concierge was very courteous and helpful about our room and getting us a shuttle for the Old Town tours. The room and beds were very clean and we appreciate that each of the amenities we needed were available.

Space in the room was not as open as we would have liked. It was difficult going in and out of the bathroom.

Close to our venue at the St Augustine Amphitheater. The hotel was ver clean and comfortable

Our room was double booked. We entered the initial booked room and the beds were unmade and then we realized luggage was in the room We returned to the front desk to get the matter rectified. A different staff member was on duty and took care of the problem. Sadly, when we were checking in a young lady was checking in in front of us was given an overbooked room as well. That error was discovered after she exited the hotel

The hotel had been recently renovated so everything was very clean. The shower was perfect and bed was plenty comfortable. The location was perfect since it was close to the beach area and historic downtown. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to any of my friends.

Nothing major to complain about other than the ice machine being on the second floor and the only drink options were form the front desk. Parking lot is a little small and can be difficult to navigate around.

Breakfast was phenomenal. Lots of choices. Front desk check-in person was very personable. Bed was super comfortable. Location was great. Easy to find. Parking was good. Would stay again.

The A/C was very loud and it was extremely cold or hot. The A/C is actually lined up with the face when laying on the bed. So the bed closest to the A/C got all the variable temperatures coming from the A/C. Check the air filters. Ours was filthy.

Hotel was clean, bed comfortable and shower was nice and hot. A/C unit worked really good. The layout of room was different, but we liked it.

We stayed 3 nights. Plug by the bathroom mirror didn't work. I reported it at front desk and it wasn't repaired during our stay. Pancake machine was out of order and wasn't repaired during our stay.

Location is grest. The hotel is small, clean. Free parking and there is a courtesy shuttle you can sign up provided by the city. Room was comfortable and quiet.

Breakfast was weak. We went down at 8:00 am and there was no more oatmeal, sausage gravy pan was very scarce as were the scramed eggs. Coffee was good and there was pancakes & sweet rolls

Everything was exceptional it was clean spotless smelled amazing the second you walked in The breakfast was good as well Staff was amazing super nice and attentive Our room was in the first floor which I was worried it might be too loud but it was super quiet The beds were so comfy and soft Over all amazing experience would come back

Parking was Little

The staff were very nice. The property was close to Flagler hospital, about 7 minutes driving. It was also close to many historical sites. It is also right next due to a miniature golf place, so the kids had fun.

our key kept on decoding and we had to get new keys. this has never happened in other hotels.
