voco St Augustine Historic Area, an IHG Hotel

Location ideal to downtown. The location was good for the fireworks. We enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and the staff was very courteous and friendly.

The breakfast area was a little small although it accommodated all that were expecting to have breakfast and the service was quite good. Ground transportation to and from the downtown area was limited it seemed like there was no bus service except the shuttle and it only ran till about 5:00 in the afternoon so any further activities then the Old Town required substantial driving

The staff were wonderful. Steve and Melanie were super fun and made sure that our stay was a good one. My partner is in a wheelchair and everything was accessible. The hotel was so clean and smelled fresh. The pool had great lounging all around and a chair lift for the disabled. We did not take advantage of that feature, but it was wonderful to have that option available. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

There is only one handicap parking space under the hotel. The two handicap spaces outside were not paved and the front wheels of his wheelchair kept getting caught in them, so I would suggest paving those two spots or creating more wheelchair accessible spaces underneath.

Recently renovated with nice decor and finishes. Comfortable beds and clean. Great location. Walkable into historic district and short drive to beaches. Dog friendly. Staff were pleasant. Good breakfast options...omelets, sausage, waffles, bagels, pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereal etc. Nice bar, fitness center, pool area and options to purchase beverages and snacks to take into your room. Plenty of free parking. Will definitely stay there again if back in town.

All three of us loved the style of the room. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, we slept like babies! Besides the comfort we loved the cleanliness of everything, you could not only see it but smell it. The bathroom was also amazing! The breakfast was very good with a variety of items, such as eggs and bacon, croissants, danishes, fruits and yogurt and of course freshly brewed coffee. And let's not forget the amazing staff at the front desk, Marisol and Erick. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality!

The location was good. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was good. Nice gym, pool and bar area. Staff that I interacted with were friendly. They have a contract with a local trolley to drop you off and pick you up 5$ a person per way (convenient).

The stairwell stunk of mildew. The elevator was broke (being fixed that evening). close to the road so you can hear all the traffic, luckily we were traveling with a toddler so we had a sound machine.

Nice, clean hotel with free parking just outside of the main tourist hub. The staff was nice and let us check in a little early. The bed was comfy.

The walls are pretty thin and we could hear other guests. It was more of a walk over the bridge into the center than expected but it was ok except for when it rained. It looks like they had a shuttle bus for those not wanting to walk or drive... we didn't inquire.

The property has been recently renovated and is being maintained and cleaned up very well since. There are lots of amenities and the staff is very accommodating and responsive. Erick in particular was very nice and always seemed happy to help us while not feeling fake at all. They made the check in process very smooth and we never had a very long wait when approaching the desk (even if other guests were there). My partner and I have stayed in almost every hotel on this side of the bridge and before the bend (in addition to a few downtown as well) over the last 3 years and this has been our favorite so far. They have a decently stocked bar and serve breakfast (not complimentary) which smelled very good. We did not try the food however as we do not eat breakfast. Big bonus for us is that they give you complimentary water bottles (glass swing top carafes) when you check in and throughout your stay. We usually have to go down to the circle k and buy a few big bottles of water for the room when we stay but not this time around! They also have a Nespresso machine in the rooms stocked with coffee, espresso, tea, and sugar/cream.

We did have to ask a couple times for sanitation wipes for the gym, but they eventually provided us with a box to bring up to the gym and leave there. They can be a little difficult to reach when calling on the phone from outside the hotel but it is because they are prioritizing guest interaction.

Weird shower half door that does not contain the water well when showering. Remote control was not working. Buttons had to be pushed several times to respond if it did at all.

This retro hotel on Anastasia Island evokes an Art Deco aura on the exterior and mid-century elegance in the room furniture. The very nice young man at the concierge desk gave me a room overlooking the swimming pool on the second floor. The hotel provides an airy parking spot on the ground floor; this was perfect for me as the hotel is about a mile from the historic district of St. Augustine and I could easily walk there across the Bridge of Lions. After the obligatory stint in the historic district, I opted for the local watering holes on Anastasia Boulevard in the evening and ended up meeting friendly locals. Before that, I had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar and by the pool all to myself. What a gem this hotel is! I regret only that I could stay for only a night in St. Augustine, but I will certainly be staying at voco again during my next visit.

Very clean hotel. Most comfortable beds we have had in a while. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Even with it being a holiday week they took the time and didn't make us feel rushed.

Only downside was the TV had static when trying to Screencast and live TV. With two kids it was a little distracting but not horrible.
