Clarion Pointe Tampa East near Fairgrounds and Casino

They are newly renovating it. I may have been one of the first to stay in my room. Very bright and clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They even gave a little welcome bag with a bottled water and chips. Full sized walk in shower. Fridge and microwave in the room.

The bed, while appointed with nice bedding, was very very firm. Some may prefer that. I would have preferred it a bit softer. Breakfast was all carbs (but they did promise “continental breakfast” so that was not a surprise. Still, would have been nice if they’d offered boiled egg, protein bar, or low sugar Greek yogurt as I can’t eat waffles, cereal, instant oatmeal, and sweetened yogurt.

The room was very nice and having the loft was really a plus. Also, the view on the back side was beautiful with the pond.

I did not like the fact that the exercise room and the laundry facility were not available to be used. The prices in the lobby market are extremely high because I had to pay $5 for a 2.5 oz can of Pringles and a 1 oz bag of Cheetos. There should also be a telephone downstairs, not just upstairs in the loft area. Also, the room that was next to mine made a loud drilling sound everytime the people open and closed it, which was every few minutes all night long on Saturday.

The property is beautiful decorated, clean and well appointed. The parking is good unless you have a big truck, or want to leave your trailer attached. The lake and courtyard are relaxing.

They are mid-renovation so there are parts that are older. What that means is the lobby and half of the suite is updated and very nice and the stairs and the other half of the suite were dated, old, and all the things that go with that. I expect that to be remedied quite nicely in the near future.

I love the room I had with the lake view plus my room had stairs that go to your bed in a private bathroom I love it never been to a motel like that they need to start making more motels with upstairs beds inside the room next time I go back to town I'm going to this motel and I want the same room

I did not like the breakfast was from 6:00 to 8:00 people don't be up there early at least give it to 10

The room with the loft was the best. We loved sitting on the patio with a view of the lake in the back. The courtyard was also very pretty with plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the view!

The pool could have been cleaner. We didn't utilize the pool because the water was too dark. There were also not enough hand weights in the on site exercise room, only 2 20lb hand weights were available for use. The only other thing we didn't like was the fact that the front desk staff ( day and night staff) were not very friendly or outgoing enough to make us feel welcome. It seemed like they were just there because they had to be. No smiles, friendly conversations, or anything. We had more enjoyable conversations and interactions with the cleaning staff, who are each amazing by the way, than we had with the front desk during our entire stay.

Room was great and spacious. Balcony with view of the lake was beautiful and calming!! All of the front desk staff were helpful and so polite! We stayed after being displaced from Hurricane Ian, so it wasn't a vacation, but the great staff and nice room helped ease the stress of the situation. Under better circumstances it would have been perfect. We will definitely plan a vacation here in the future!

It's was a nice hotel. Small punch list needs to be done after the renovation (ie: key lock door to access the building wasn't working)

I was told we would have a balcony but we did not. We had a undected leak in the bathroom overnight that caused all our clothes, suitcases to be soaked and most of our clothes inside were too.

Overall I love this place for it's cozy appeal & it's location but there is some slacking causing my opinion to change

There was an additional $100 deposit required that is not mentioned while booking my stay. Also it takes several days to get your $100 refunded to you. I have stayed at this location many times as I am a rewards member through the Choice program as well & as a matter of fact the hotel became one of my favorites. However my last two stays were not as good as they have been in the past. A little more effort while cleaning the rooms should be given. The walls in the kitchenette area need to be wiped down as we had ants crawling everywhere.

Everything was great ! This was newly renovated. It was also by far the cleanest hotel we've stayed in, and we've stayed in some nice resorts in orlanda and Fort Lauderdale. The beds were very comfortable as well ! We will be coming back here ! Also it's very close to the hard rock casino !

How well maintained the place is, very nice place for a quality inn & suites. Good job by the owner also really good price. The cleaning lady, I think she's the head cleaning lady not sure tho, but she is really nice and makes you feel comfortable there, she definitely deserves a raise. I wish I knew her name so that you knew forsure who I was talking about.

The cops were there 4nights out of the seven that I stayed. The owner keeps up with the place really well but the quality of the people that stay there give it a dirty look.
