DoubleTree by Hilton Tampa Rocky Point Waterfront

The hotel location was amazing! The hotel was right on the water and in the morning I would get up go down to the pool and would see dolphins swimming in the lagoon right out front. One morning it swam right in front of me against the wall. We didn't use the pool at all as we were out and about every day but the pool bar looked amazing. We also didn't use the breakfast buffet as the price of the buffet we can't eat that much so for the price of one person for the buffet we could eat outside the hotel for all 4 of us. The room was very clean and beds were super comfortable - had great sleeps after long days exploring Tampa. Best part is the hotel is close to downtown and close to the island - went to Clearwater Beach and Indian Rocks beach. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this hotel.

price of buffet seemed a bit ridiculous so we didn't use it

The hotel was very quiet. I heard no noise from my room. It was completely silent. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was top quality. The room smelled great, and that is what mattered most. It was also very spacious. The restaurant downstairs was a great value, and the pool area offers a good sunset view. The parking isn't included and costs $15 +/- each day. It's a little frustrating to understand at first, but it's not hard once you get it. I'll stay again next time I visit the area.

The hallway had a slight mildew smell. It's a very long walk from your room to your car.

Everything was wonderful

Not really a dislike, but the only small complaint is the communication. When I checked in I was put in the wrong room and when I went to breakfast the next morning they had the wrong number of people staying in the room and almost charged me extra for breakfast. Everything was resolved very quickly, so no harm no foul. Just wish I didn’t have to be so vigilant about things that are supposed to be included.

We loved the bar by the pool and that it was open until 1:00am, as well as the location of the property. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

unfortunately the air conditioning unit is extremely loud and goes on and shuts off frequently. We were unable to sleep, kept waking due to how loud it is. The hotel itself is very quiet.

Location was perfect for my overnight stay before heading to the airport. I ended up having a light dinner and cocktail on the patio watching the sun go down. Perfect for me. Having a flight out after 9am (shuttle is contracted with flight crew first) afforded me the opportunity to get a shuttle ride vs Uber to the airport. A nice surprise to utilize.

I wish I had known there wasn't a breakfast included. That was disappointing.

The customer service was AMAZING at the front desk. It was friendly and the staff was kind!

I wish you could see out of the windows in the hall on the upper levels. Also, the front lobby wall paper should be repaired as quickly as possible. It's an eye sore foe such a beautiful hotel.

Nice hotel and facilities.

The staff was rude. First, the lady at the front desk said that we didn't have a reservation with them in a discourteous manner. Then she found it and did not even apologize. When going for the breakfast, another disrespectful guy said we didn't have the right for the breakfast and we needed to pay. I needed to show him the app; he called reception and again, without any apologies, let us in

Beds were super comfortable as well as the pillows. The bathroom was clean and shower was easy to use. Although the light in the bathroom made a faint ringing sound but was only while the light was on. Could have used 2 sinks.

The air conditioner was super loud when it kicked on. I would have preferred it to stay on. We were disappointed that there were no free breakfast choices. As Hilton Honors members there should be at least a few things to choose from at no charge or included in room price (coffee, tea, muffins, bagels, etc).

location was great for us, staff was very friendly and ready to help, the view was fantastic and it was surprisingly quiet. overall very clean.

annoying roomcard problems costs sometimes a lot of time. I don’t know why and I guess the staff maybe don’t know it either, but somehow the cards just reset themselves and you can’t enter your room anymore or enter the parking lot. the ceiling doesn’t look good due to a waterdamage.

Paid for a certain room and it was not reserved But then the gentleman gave us a beautiful room on the main floor for the same price so we were happy then also charging for hotel’s parking was not good and was not told to us when we paid for rooms. refrigerator wasn’t work properly
