We wanted a different option for Gasparilla this year due to bad experiences at other hotels and we landed on the Hyatt Place. The location was good, a little more walking but not bad at all. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the room was comfortable. All of the elevators worked well and the staff was friendly. Considering how busy Gasparilla weekend is, they did a great job accommodating the crowd. The Starbucks downstairs was also a bonus!

The general manager asked us to pay for wristbands for REGISTERED GUESTS. He said that each room was only allowed four wristbands but we booked the room for six. We were asked to pay for our fifth and sixth registered guests to enter and exit the hotel. This is a specific issue for Gasparilla but unfair nonetheless. They should not accept bookings for six if you will not allow them in and out of the building *eyeroll*. Also, they do not accommodate large trucks so we had to park in a pay-to-park lot a block away where our truck ultimately was hit (and run) at some point. Just a note for other travelers in trucks. And lastly, we were only given three bath towels for six people.

I liked everything. I brought my teen kids to look around the city and hang out. I want to give a shout out to a staff member. We missed the breakfast, I thought it was until 11 on Sundays, and it closed at 10am. Angela, one of the staff members overheard me talking to my kids and she approached me and offered to get us breakfast. A few minutes later she brought us three to go boxes filled with a delicious hot breakfast!!! I was so thankful. And the coffee bar which was still open, was great coffee! No need for Starbucks, which is attached to the hotel, and that’s convenient too.

The pool closed at 10. That was unfortunate. We would have gone for a late night swim otherwise.

My husband and I took a little escape to Tampa this past weekend and couldn't have asked for a better experience than what we had at the Hyatt Place downtown. The room was newly renovated, spacious and clean. Breakfast exceeded expectations. The staff were kind and hard-working. The location was safe and extremely convenient. Highly recommended!

The hotel was nice and clean.

I didn't like that a shuttle service wasn't offered from the hotel to the airport, we spent $25 on a taxi from the airport to the hotel, but going back to the airport because our flight was so early in the morning, the hotel recommended a uber and said it would be more reliable, which it was, but it was almost $60 after tip. A 15-minute ride/shuttle from the hotel would've been much appreciated.

The hotel was well situated to main attractions and public transportation. The included breakfast was good and had many options. Really appreciated pool and terrasse

that the room was located too close to the fitness center. Since the fitness center is not sound proof, we were woken up at 05:30 2 mornings by people dropping things on the floor of the fitness center that reverberated through our room floor.

I had an excellent stay at Hyatt Place Tampa Downtown, with the staff, facilities, cleanliness, comfort, value for money, location, and free wifi all deserving a top rating. Every aspect of my stay was outstanding, contributing to a seamless and enjoyable business trip.

The only area that fell short was the breakfast, which, while adequate, didn't quite meet the high standards set by the other services.

The location was just great! Short stroll to free trolley car, giving instant access to all major sites. Short stroll to beautiful riverside walks. Short walk to great eateries, just great.

The is currently a complete lack of understanding of dietary requirements. Fabulous array of breakfast foods if you can eat anything. Emailed the hotel in advance to check there were gluten free items available and they said yes. I. Reality, no.

Everyone at this hotel loves their job! It wasn’t a attitude in sight. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. You can tell the cooks take pride in their job. Caroline at the bar was amazing! The fried grouper was good as well.

The only thing bad was the stopper in the shower did not stay up so the water filled the bottom of the tub. The shower head was also a little strong for my liking.

Everything was just perfect!!! From checkin, accommodating from Valet and forgive me as I failed to get names but the girl with curly hair in valet, and all the guys! Literally every single one of them were so nice and fast! To front desk, the sweet girl with blonde hair that checked me in, to the I believe supervisor or manager that starts with the letter B, like beremy or some unique name… the girls were so accommodating and helped me feel at comfort as I traveled from San Diego, I loved this hotel!
