Experience marred by being double charged for early check-in. We paid cash on arrival, then 40 more was held and completely charged again when we got home. Despite an email sent to try and rectify no response or refund forthcoming

For the price and convenience, Carlton Inn is awesome! We left our car here while on vacation and were shuttled to the airport and picked up at the airport when our flight came in at 2 am! The staff was always friendly and we slept comfortably. The facilities aren't new and carpet was old and not affixed in some places, but the room had coffee, plenty of places to charge electronics and it was quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

The rooms need to be updated, but for the price you can't beat it.

I did not expect an actually working fitness room, this was a very nice plus. Personnel super friendly and coffee in the room! This was certainly the best part. If the location suits you, it is ultimately a take. Colleagues of mine in the same trip choose to stay in hotels downtown Chicago, and for a similar budget, they got horrible rooms. I purchased a Ventra card and commuted with the Orange line to the city center, saved money and got a better deal.

Nothing especially notable as a negative. Breakfast was not great, but at least there was something and was included in the price. If you need to commute to downtown with public transport, it could be annoying to do for several days.

This inn suited our needs due to the fact that we flew into Chicago Midway and this inn was nearby and offered an airport shuttle. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed so we landed too late to use the hotel shuttle that evening, but we caught a taxi ($13 one way) which the inn very kindly reimbursed. The room was very small but it was fine for one night, as we were leaving the next morning. Although next to a busy road, the room was peaceful, clean, and comfortable. There is no restaurant (within walking distance) so unfortunately, we went to bed on room coffee and nuts which I had in my handbag. The inn offers a simple breakfast with pastries, cereal, juice, waffles, coffee, and some juice. There is parking available in front of each room which seemed reasonably safe.

The room was very small, which was made even smaller since we had a lot of luggage with us. The airport shuttle needs to be booked in advance so bear this in mind if you need to get somewhere urgently. But the hotel accommodated our needs as much as possible.

The motel was clean and comfortable. Close to Midway airport, but we couldn't hear the planes in the room. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were within walking distance to the L station, but the shuttle was a nice treat.

Breakfast was rather meager. Hash browns and sausage patties with cereal, toast and some rolls. It filled us up, but was nothing to write home about.

Fast response, friendly shuttle driver, pleasant front desk, comfortable bed. Very close to Midway Airport so it worked out for my short overnight stay.

Aesthetics are not great… Tight squeeze on all the parking With a separate building full of hotel rooms literally in the middle of the parking lot. Couldn't contact the front desk because the phone in the room didn't actually work. Deadbolt style lock only -- door did not have an interior sliding bolt so I had to place a chair in front of the door for added security.

When I opened the room door once checking in the first thing that I smelt was PineSol which was a very good thing

When I came back to the room and I was getting ready to sleep the cable didn't work. I usually sleep with the TV on so I kept waking up because the cable didn't work. This is the only complaint that I had for this establishment

We had a nice stay overall. Helpful stuff, nicely equipped large room, etc. It was in a walkable distance from an L train station that gets you directly in the Loop.

Breakfast could be better and should be renewed more often. Also it can be noisy in times due to the nearby airport.

We liked the location and was happy with the value of the money spent. There is a Mexican restaurant which we enjoyed just a short distance away. The name is Mariscoel would highly recommend going.

The only complaint was that the TV didn't have sound. Which we didn't care about.

the service at breakfast was amazing everytime something was finished it got renewed. clean room too.

when we got there the staff that was working didn’t say anything even when we asked we got a weird response. but when we came in later for check in the woman who helped us was verynice
