I love the location and the exquisite architecture and art collection. Since it’s a private club I got to feel like royalty being there. A very unique experience. The restaurants were wonderful too. And parking garage is so convenient. From the front door to the Arch Park and Eads Bridge is one block. An evening walk on the bridge to view the city was magnificent!

The dress code is not my style. But they worked with me! I didn’t like from parking garage you have to enter the back door. But hey, travel clothes don’t meet the front door image. Nothing else I didn’t like. I love love it and hope to return again.

Great reception, hotel accomodated my friends arriving a little sooner than my family did. They spoke like they were well received despite not having a room in their name. That is appreciated. No frills checkout. Enjoyed the Jack Buck Grille for a couple of drinks following the Battlehawks game.

Our fault for not really checking on and using the other amenities on other floors of the MAC Hotel. It is a different setup than other hotels were the amenities are not grouped together near the reception area on the ground floor: food/drink, exercise, pool. Meaning if a tour of the MAC was offered, we might have accepted. An opportunity to show off the history of the MAC while familiarizing guests in person with where the highlights are.

This was a fun experience and very different from most hotels. It's a heritage listed building that used to be a gentlemen's sports club. It's a gorgeous building with great sports facilities. Certainly the first time I have stayed in hotel with a basketball court (with a Guinness world record attached). The sports facilities are extra but exceptional value and a great pool. The staff were lovely, especially the staff in the restaurants.

Real coffee (like a latte). I know it's America but it would have been great to have somewhere on site for a coffee. More hours when the cafe/restaurant was open. Not being able to check in till 4pm.

The whole bldg is historic, and the decor very masculine, wood walls and leather chairs. The two restaurants were excellent. We were in St Louis for a concert, to our surprise upon arrival, there was a complimentary shuttle to the venue . Upon returning, the bar stayed open for an extra hour or so for a final night cap. Could not have been a more perfect evening .

Paying for parking is never a good thing, but it was the most reasonable here. The actual rooms don’t quite match the upscale feel of the rest of the hotel, but new carpet & paint could fix that, it’s old but very clean, and the bed was very comfortable .

Free shuttle to/fr cardinals games: 1st run starts 1 hour before(although it’s an easy walk)There is a microwave on the 8th floor in the room with the ice machine & snack & drink vending machines. Interesting old historic place: a pool table room & a reading room with recliners, books & a piano(10th floor)..check out all the other floors too(a full size basketball court on 5!)

My room didn’t look as renovated/polished as the pics on booking but it was only for 1 night & the price was great! & the AC & ceiling fan worked great & bathroom was super clean!

This is a heritage sight turned into a hotel and events venue. It has a classic vibe and a very good value for money. Facilities are good except there seem to be no breakfast (unless you request it from the kitchen at a cost?). The area is nice, just a short walk away from the Gateway Arch and downtown with a tram station a block away to reach out other areas like the Forest Park, a pleasant green place in the mould of Central Park NY. There are a few shops towards the front of the hotel including a grocery store, a patisseries and a cafe

Did not dislike anything but a breakfast will make it a perfect place to stay in the middle of Saint Louise. Oh watch out for the raised floor of the bathroom! (you drop a step when coming back to bed :))

My daughter loves the antique style decoration of lobby area. The location is great. It is in walking distance of the Arch and some good restaurants. The price was very good.

We had a little trouble finding the entrance since it was our first time there. The room wasn't very sound proof. We could hear talking, sneezing and snoring of the guests living next door. Fortunately there were relatively quiet so our night staying was ok. Also the bathroom vanity need some upgrades.

Very nice hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Very good lovation if you're looking for something next to the Arch. I love the historic atmosphere. Beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean.

I wish Booking.com would post the dress code for this hotel. I had no idea! Its supposed to be "casual attire". I attached a photo of the club policies that define casual they gave me at check in. No hats or athletic wear in the lobby. But thats what we wear when we drive acriss the country! This is the only reason i gave a 9 rating.

A beautiful Place, full of history, completely opposite the "off the shelve" chain hotels. Full of character and quaint

They clearly have a maintenance backlog, one of my radiators was spewing a small trickle of scolding hot water all night and my room was opposite the ice mashine which was rather noisy but coming through booking, arriving late paying cheap I understand why I got the room.

I like the location of the hotel waking distance to the Arch and Laclede's neighborhood, casino and public transportation. The hotel is like going back on time more than 100 years old and very clean. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, temperature within the room comfortable. the room had TV, coffee maker (good coffee), no refrigerator. Elevators are big enough for 4people and suitcases. It had restaurantes but we did not used. Parking is behind the building, cover parking building (additional charge). Staff very friendly.

the water on the shower did not have enough pressure when you take a shower
