Drury Inn & Suites St. Louis Convention Center

Great location for the price; great highway access, super close to the Arch and stadium/entertainment district. This is a PERFECT family hotel for the budget savy vacationer. Free breakfast, free evening reception, rooms with an entrance to an exterior hallway and one to the amenity area that includes a little indoor pool and hot tub! Garage parking onsite was also nice, $15/day is a steal so if anyone is complaining about it they need to toss a rock in any direction to see it's double everywhere else. Which honestly brings me to my next thought, in the event of a zombie apocalypse, this is my chosen fortress. That's right, I called dibs. Thems the rules. In the event that zombies take over the planet, this hotel has unmatched lock-down capabilities. Secured entrance everywhere! The doors do not open unless you are letin or have a hotel key, the garage doors(the heavy steel kind) also do not open without a key, and that garage is ventilated, sure, but the openings are barred and wrapped in wire. That exterior hallway/second door to amenity level I mentioned makes a perfect little commune for anyone else surviving with me. Oh, or if you're concerned about security in the lou, ya know, this hotel is pretty secure but always be aware of your surroundings.

If you are reading my review, I'm sure you've already heard that this hotel could use a little update. I'm not sure what Drurys timeframe for updating a hotel is but honestly, I've never been in a brand new Drury. Do they all look like they were once smoking facilities? Are they built new that way? Does Drury still build new hotels? It did not bother us though, and for under $150/night all in, on a weekend in the middle of downtown STL, I'll take it!!

convenient to downtown and secure parking The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel has many nice features. Evening kickback appetizers and morning breakfast were enjoyable and ample.

I don’t advise walking after dark. Also, I humbly suggest changing the led bulbs in all the chandeliers and fixtures to newer leds that have a more incandescent type warmth. the current leds cast a cold and sort of ghoulish palor on common areas, especially the main chandelier.

The pool and spa had hard rock like things at the bottom. The spa was a yellow tint like someone peed it in.

The king bed was great. The bathroom is tiny with little space to dress, but it is helpful to separate from sink/mirror. Kick-back is a great idea! The Assistant Manager during our stay was friendly, helpful, and took care in the property.

1. When booking, I thought it was the Drury that was directly across from The Arch-better description of which Drury property would be helpful. (Didn't realize so many in the downtown area) 2. Used Booking.com and didn't realize we couldn't use Drury member points. Perhaps clarifying that or giving partial points for third-party booking. 3. Please clarify if there is no maid service, or offer at 3+ nights stay. We stayed 4 nights at a high premium and trash adds up fast. Towels and TP are needed. 4. When booking online, I didn't realize parking was not included. Please clarify or build into cost. (4 nights added $18 per day that we were't expecting)

Incredibly good stay! Very warm welcome by Greg. Greg suggested that after our walk, we stop in the dining room for free dinner. (what? free dinner? YES) Our room was very quiet. We walked into a long hall - the living and bedroom are at the back of the hallway, away from the hall. We did not hear any noise. Breakfast was hot and very good. The charge for parking is approximately 50% less than other hotels that we looked at in this area. Easy walk to the Arch and baseball field. Checkout was completed by the amazing Miss Gail - multitasking finesse at the highest level - Incredibly Good! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

The staff (particularly Greg at the front desk) were very friendly and great to work with. This was our first stay at a Drury so the “happy hour” snacks/food was a nice surprise. The convenience of being able to eat dinner at the hotel before going to the concert was great! We were able to walk to and from the concert, which was also nice.

We had a long wait to check into our room. I understand it was due to several cleaning staff calling in sick. it was frustrating to have to wait over 2 hrs past check-in time but the staff were really good about keeping everyone calm. There were others waiting a lot longer than us to check in so I was pretty happy when we were able to finally check in.

Amazing location, walkable to the arch and stadium. Secure garage parking that allowed in and out with room key. Super comfy beds, spacious rooms. Free hot “snacks” and drinks in the evening were delicious and enough to make a meal out of, fantastic breakfast in the morning. Pool is small but enough for kids to play around in. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Carpets could use a good cleaning. Many rooms window was actually to the inside dining room, not outside. But they are working with the design of a very old building, so it is understandable. Curtains were thick enough to provide full privacy.

Parking included and secure. Also in addition to breakfast, snacks and a light dinner provided 5-7pm which was unexpected. This was excellent as they aren't many restaurants in the area. The food was ok not high class but an acceptable self service buffet

Although close to the Gateway Arch, the area is quiet, just full of hotels and no restaurants outside of this.

The people working there were very friendly and easy going! They always greated us and smiled, even when cleaning rooms. The assistant manager was great with my little! Very accommodating for our family! We also got upgraded because they didn't have the room we booked available! And the breakfast and happy hour were a great bonus! Saved more money for us to spend elsewhere!

The only issue I had was cleanliness. It is an older hotel, so there is room for improvement. The shower curtain was dirty and the pull out bed had crumbs in it. The linens in the closet for the pull out were also soiled. The staff did a great job of bringing us new linens!
