Hampton Inn St Louis- at the Arch

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was excellent. Three elevators serving 17 floors were quick. Standard hotel room furniture and layout. Pool was fairly deep! Central location, walking distance to dining, Convention Center, the Gateway Arch, the whole downtown area and public transport. Felt safe because you needed your key card to access everything.

Room had a musty smell and some small water stains on the ceiling, one of them over the shower looked like growing mold ... Beds were too uncomfortable (hard) for my husband. Parking was an extra $30. In all, a little more than what I would usually pay for what I got, but you can't beat the location.

The location was perfect,we walked to the Arch, boar tour, Old Union Station, and City Museum. This hotel is also a few blocks from Bush Stadium. There were good places to eat within 5 blocks. We parked the car and spent two days exploring St Louis. Breakfast was included and included several hot selections.

The desk staff could have been more helpful, checked that we booked through a third party site, and then could not help with any of our requests.

Pool was nice and clean. Heated. Raven at checkout/in was excellent. She was super helpful and referred us to bbq place which was delicious. Very friendly staff. Loved the breakfast time. Nice, clean. A lot of options. Clean lobby. Clean room. Good amenities. Loved the early check in, because not every where can accommodate but they did, no problem.

It took way to long for the elevators. We waited almost 10 minutes for each elevator every time. And, once the elevator got stuck.. wouldn't move. Was scary. Parking garage was a little creepy, but felt secure with the auto doors. I recommend different curtains in the showers. Hard to keep closed without water going out.

The staff was very accomodating and pleasant. When we could not get the thermostat to work correctly, maintenance was prompt to the room to take care of the situation. The room was very clean and had the "normal" room hotel amenities such as TV, coffee maker, mini-frig, etc. The room did not include a microwave. The breakfast was very nice for a hotel its size. It included omelets, sausage, waffles, fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt, juices, coffee, and milk. Was very impressed it was not just cold items. The parking garage was very secure. Had a hard time getting our room card to activate the gate to get in but we finally got it to work. The height of the parking garage beams was only a little over 6 ft tall so if your vehicle is tall, beware; it will hit the beams. Did not know about the $20/night charge for the garage until I read reviews for the hotel. Would be nice if the fee were included in the price and not be a surprise added on fee on our final bill. Was very pleased it was only a 15-minute walk to Busch Stadium and just a short walk to lots of good restaurants downtown on Washington St. Overall a great stay. Would definitely go back again.

The parking garage fee was an added expense that was not necessary. The place could use updating. Elevator had to have a key card to activate and sometimes this did not work too well.

Breakfast was plentiful and I didn’t feel rushed, plenty of room in the dining area. The arch view from our room was a nice touch

Parking was pricey and the immediate area kind of sketchy with homeless people around; I guess any major city in the US has that though. Police had a presence in the area hopefully to keep us safe. Parking lot was secure and I appreciated that.

Breakfast was great and lots of options, upgraded room view and ease of being picked up and dropped off. I like that we had space to load and unload our luggage rather than be close to the busy street with my children.

Colder juice at breakfast. Or more milk varieties. I cannot have dairy and having an alternative milk would have been good. There wasn’t a whole lot that was negative or what I didn’t like. Everything seemed to be great.

Loved the connectivity and modernization of the rooms! Lots of usb charging ports, and we were able to use our Amazon Fire stick on the tv to watch netflix. Pool was great, however a bit too chlorinated. The towels were nice and big and there were always fresh ones at the pool. Lots of towels were given in the room. Free breakfast was great and plentiful! We were able to walk across the street 6 minutes to restaurants and to the arch. About a 15-20 minute walk in the other direction to lots of restaurants, bars, and the City Museum. Highly recommend!

I would've liked if all the hand sanitizer stations were refilled, many were empty. It would be ideal for the restaurant attached to the hotel to be open. Please get a new restaurant back into that space to make travel with families easier!

Rooms were clean. Lots of towels provided. Staff was very nice. Good breakfast. Within walking distance to several attractions.

. There is a wooden surround around the curtains in the room. It is a decorative piece? This should be shortened or moved much closer to the window. My 5'11" husband would walk over to see the view and would hit his head on it. If you are over 5'4" or so it is very poor construction. There were also no actual blankets on the beds. Only something as thin as the top sheet.

Breakfast was delicious and the room had a beautiful view! We were on the 16th floor and could see the arch perfectly. The shower was also nice. We had pleasant experiences with staff every step of the way.

The amenities in the room were a bit lacking. We did not have hand soap or body soap. There was no vent in the bathroom, so the room felt muggy. Lastly, the windows didn't close easily, so we heard the sounds of the city for the whole night.

Staff were so friendly- everyone:) So close to Rolling Stones concert. Breakfast good.
