Northfield Inn Suites and Conference Center

We especially appreciated the two reading chairs so both of us could relax, apart from the desk and its chair. Both easy chairs had a lamp nearby for good lighting. One of the chairs was even a lounger that reclined. The location is good in that it's off the expressway by several blocks, so our room was quiet and faced away from traffic and looked out onto trees.

Everything as well appointed and what we expected, having stayed there twice before over several past years. It's not a fancy place, but it is a conference center with extensive facilities.

The property was easily located. It was an attractive building inside and out. The cleanliness was a ten+ which was wonderful. The room we had was spacious, updated, and very clean. The bed and chairs were very comfortable. The temperature was easily controllable and didn’t overheat or over cool. The breakfast was good with hot and cold choices and fruit in a clean and sizable room. All of the employees we came in contact with were friendly and helpful. I can’t remember when I’ve stayed in such a nice place for the value. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and wish I could have stayed longer to utilize the amenities I couldn’t with this stay.

My only dislike, and this really isn’t a complaint just a preference, was the elevator was small. Obviously this is not something that could be corrected and again was just my particular preference so should not be considered as a negative.

this location was a total surprise! I do not know why it was rated as a two star hotel… It has all the amenities that a single person, a business traveler, or a family would need. We ended up making several last-minute requests after we arrived late in the evening and the staff were very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was great - I was not expecting to have a full menu selection available! I have to travel to Springfield often, and having the ability to bring my family is great-and from now on this is where I’m staying!

my only complaint was that our room was hot and we had to keep playing with the temperature setting to cool our room off.

We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi tub and a full bathroom with another tub and shower. The jacuzzi was quite large and had great jets. The size of the room was quite large. Very comfortable king sized bed. Small fridge and a microwave included. We went to the Mexican restaurant that is accessible without needing to go outside. Food was very good. Quiet stay. We were about ten minutes away from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential museum which is downtown.

The breakfast was good and had a lot of variety. The waffle maker was very popular. I made toast and had peanut butter for a protein. DH had scrambled eggs and sausage. They had sweet rolls. I would recommend a different vendor. Bird poop on our car and windshield when we came out to leave.

we were squished into a very small room for dartplayers. we needed two room. the room had tables on top of each other for dart tournament. it caused 16 people at a time to stand on top of each other. too crowded and stressful. I play that tournament every year. and stay at this hotel for work at times. if we don’t have dart tournament in two rooms next year I don’t think I will attend again. the tournament was not enjoyable at all. too small of a room

Great location plenty of food places near by and a walmart. We were in town to race our horses at the illinois state fairgrounds. This hotel is about 3 Miles away. Pool was clean but a little cold. We had a queen room it was huge! Great water pressure in the shower. Great breakfast. Waffles eggs sausage links Sweet rolls yogurt fruit salad muffins juice. Highly recommend staying here

Pool hours. I wish it opened before 9am. I would of liked to swim before we had to check out. Other than that absolutely no complaints

As a road weary traveler, I appreciated the closeness to the interstate yet far enough for quiet. One of the best breakfast buffets that I’ve experienced and this weary traveler really appreciated the excellent Mexican restaurant that attached to the motel…you don’t have to leave the motel to get there. You must try their Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita.

The restaurant is too faraway for a repeat visit.

Front desk personnel friendly and responsive to our concern about the urine around the bottom of commodes. It was cleaned. Personnel volunteered to change our rooms, however since we had child and disabled person we opted for someone to clean areas. Front desk clerk deserves bonus for her CAN DO attitude. Also Liked having the connected rooms.

In both room there was urine around commode.

Comfortable bed. Chloe at front desk helped us out-of-towners FIND the hotel! Sleepy late night arrival... Nice big room with good heater and lighting. (Had fridge but we did not use.) Good shower and extra sink outside of bathroom.

Welcome to area papers that would have delivery restaurants for those of us still observing strict covid-19 socially distancing practices. The print-out from BOOKING did NOT have the hotel phone number to contact them upon it!

Breakfast was fine, limited choice, but more than adequate. All the staff were fabulous, spoke to many during my stay. Pool was nice, as was the furniture around the pool. Location was not that good, but I chose it for its facilities, took an hour to walk into town, but I walk everywhere, so that was ok, and a taxi was reasonable.
