We chose this house rather than a hotel as we knew we would have a lot of “ down time” between visits to family and didn’t want to just sit in a hotel room. We were the only guests during our stay and had the entire historic 3 floor mansion to ourselves! We loved having morning coffee and evening drinks in the 2nd floor sun porch. We visited in the cozy breakfast nook which was stocked with good coffee! Everywhere we looked we looked we discovered beautiful vintage items and art. We were always yelling “ Come see this!” and it was even less expensive than the hotel would have been!

Our room was very comfortable. Good seating, comfortable mattress, sheets and pillows. It was nice to have use of the kitchen and to have coffee provided.

Being at the top of the stairs we heard everyone who used them. Noise of the stairs and voices. The transom window is immediately across from the bed so the hall light shown into the room straight at our faces.

The house is lovely. The rooms are all decorated beautifully. And it's very secure with the lock system. It's situated on a street with other old, large beautiful homes. It's very easy to get to and from there easy to get anywhere else in town our outside of town. Although the street is a through fare, it is not busy and very quiet. I grew up in Sioux City and was back for a visit.

Honestly, it was just what we needed.

The bed, the quiet throughout the house, fellow guests were very hospitable.

I would have liked to know we were on the third floor.

The house is well located. Beautiful property, the rooms are well equipped. The staff, that unfortunately you do not encounter, was very friendly and responded to questions and concerns promptly by sms or phone. We were able to change our room without any problems. Thank you very much.

Problematic was that in the house also guests from Air B and B are living. It was not quite clear to us what we were allowed to use in the kitchen or not, or what was from these residents. Unfortunately, we were apparently not the first guests for whom this was unclear and the gentleman who had been staying there for some time was disturbed by our ignorance. Therefore, please clearer instructions for guests with breakfast. The breakfast itself was very modest. Café and muesli.

It's a cute older home with unique decor.

Parked on the street because there were no spots open in front of the garage. The room was on the third floor and the stairs were very loud and creaky. Bathroom was shared. Two large flies in the room kept me up until I was able to kill them. No on-site staff to speak of.

Breakfast?... There was none. I had to refill the coffee maker to make coffee hurriedly before leaving.

I never received the promised entrance directions. I had to phone, leave a message and wait for someone to get back to me as I stood at the front door with my luggage. I later saw another couple having to do the same.
