Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Newport on the River

The staff was amazing! I don't remember her name but the receptionist was AMAZING! She gave us recommendations on things to do within walking distance. The room was super clean and definitely worth the price for the night. The bathroom was amazing, that shower was fantastic and had excellent water pressure! The location was great, we went to the aquarium which was only a 15 min walk from the hotel. There was multiple restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The room was supplied with shampoo, conditioner and body wash, which worked out great because I forgot our body wash.

The pillows were not the greatest. I was hoping for at least one firm pillow but they seemed to be down feather filled pillows. The breakfast wasn't that great either. I liked the eggs, but the rest of the "hot bar" items weren't that great.

The breakfast was very good and the staff kept it well-stocked. The location is good. I wish it was a little closer to the aquarium, but I did like that you could take the dollar shuttle bus over to Cincinnati and back and it was outside of the hotel. The staff was really nice and and helpful when I ask questions.

I would say there was only a couple of things and one was I wish the windows were a little bit more clear on the inside and the outside because we had a Riverview and the windows could use some attention. And I did not care for the TV remote because it was a little hard to get through the channels.

Loved the location. Close to the area we were visiting. The beds were very comfy, and we loved the walk on shower.

We were going to a concert venue, my husband dropped us girls off for the concert, then was going to go to motel to relax. Even though he had the credit card we booked with, and the receipt with our booking number, they wouldnt let him go to the room bacause his name wasn't on the booking. I had to be there. We were so upset, he had to wait around for 3 hours until he could go to room. Lesson learned on our part.

The view of the river and Cincinnati was really cool ! Breakfast was great and when they ran out of sausage and an employee saw me and my 5 year old daughter waiting, she made a point to come find us at a table to give us fresh ones when they were ready. It was really sweet…I wish I would have gotten her name. I also liked the convenience of being close to Newport and then able to go to go to Cincinnati the next day. It’s also next to Starbucks and within walking distance of a few nice restaurants.

The parking is a little tight with limited spaces but we did find a spot.

Great location/views and overall a welcomed relaxed environment.

The breakfast was not attended to well by staff responsible, often the condiments were depleted, coffee carafes exhausted, no flavored creamers availble, juices particularly the O.J. were watery tasting. All passable to feed a hungry family but for a couple it fell short compared to many Complementary Breakfast we've had at much lower priced accomadations.

The location was great for the concert we went to at the Promo. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice to have included, but a meat like bacon or sausage would’ve been a nice addition.

We had a dried blood spot on one of the comforters, our blinds were broken and therefore we could not bring them up to be able to see the view of the river and city lights, there was trash under our bed, and parking was NOT easy to find.

The room was clean and spacious. The beds felt like sleeping in a cloud! The staff was helpful every step of the way. Breakfast was great in the morning with lots of yummy options to choose from. Several restaurant options are very easily accessible and close by, we just took the road behind the hotel. The best part? Being right by the river. The views were beautiful! We really enjoyed our stay!

enjoyed the location and smaller size of the hotel. Great view of the river and view of Cinn. Will stay there again next year when we visit my daughter again. The complimentary breakfast was very good. good covered parking under the building.

occasional cleaning by staff would have been nice.

pillows (for me) were uncomfortable, but that’s nothing on the hotel. to each their own when it comes to things like that. I wish it had a pool the hot breakfast could use some help but that’s not why we were there 🙃

accessible to expressway and other attractions.

trivial but microwave was on an enclosed shelf at bottom of cabinet. breakfast was okay but it didn’t seem like warming stations were on. food was almost cold. I would have liked view of River instead of street but wasn’t worth the upcharge.
