The hotel is in a great location, it is very pretty and comfortable, and the staff is great, with the exception of the manager. She is horrible.

Booking.com said that they would give me a refund because we stayed in a 1-bedroom suite for 3 nights for which we had paid for a 2-bedroom suite. They tried to contact the manager, I tried to contact her, and she didn't have the decency to return my phone calls or the emails that Booking.com sent her. So I'm out as much as $600.

I enjoyed the location being walking distance from everything and the staff. One particular young lady who worked swing was very nice, cordial and informative regarding food, sight seeing and all the other questions I had. She made my stay excellent! I can't remember her name, but she has curly red shoulder length hair, beautiful smile and always always appeared happy when passing through the office.

The rat drinking from the pool and cockroaches on the balcony.

This hotel is perfect for visiting the French Quarter. Everything is within walking distance and the hotel even offers free garage parking on the premises, which is unbeatable. In addition, Frenchman Street, which has music bars and a few good restaurants, is right around the corner, as well as the French Market. Remember that La Monnaie is actually a time-share facility, not a real hotel. Certain owners make their small apartments available for "rent". Ours was like a small New York apartment with kitchenette for making breakfast in the room. The room was a little "worn" yet still comfy with a small living room, kitchen table and bedroom.I would also like to commend front-desk staff member Susanne who got us a last-minute Thanksgiving reservation at a popular restaurant when we were turned down. Great service.

The hotel is located by train tracks and the blaring signals from early morning freight trains can wake you up -- in our case, at 2.45 and 5.45 a.m. on two days of our four-day stay. Also, you have to request housekeeping -- it is limited.

The hotel is clean and in a great location. It's a bit worn and dated, but I don't care about that if it's clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The other guests were not loud and the party areas are far away so it is quiet at night to sleep...the only exception is the train whistles, but I think you'll hear that in any hotel in the french quarter.

Parking, they have 23 spaces for 53 rooms. So they say here that you get a space, but only if one is available. Also, they have timeshare owners and these rooms get to reserve spaces...you are not allowed to reserve spaces, so you might not get a space. There is a paid lot behind, but it's $30 after tax per day so be prepared to possibly pay to park. If you do get a spot in the garage, plan to never leave or you'll lose your spot to someone else. I had to pay to park the first day and then managed to grab an empty spot the second day and didn't leave so I could keep it. Three front desk people were lovely, but one day person was just unpleasant and curt.

The location was perfect for me as the hotel is easy walking distance to and from the music clubs on Frenchmen, great restaurants, and the Jazz Museum festival I was attending. Also all the staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. And the jacuzzi tub in my suite was a lovely spot for relaxation after a long day on my feet.

I have slept in more comfortable beds but it was fine. Housekeeping takes the garbage and switches out the towels you leave outside the door but doesn't enter the room. This system worked well for me but may not be everyone's preference.

I loved being right by the French Market. The shopping was wonderful. I also loved that the location was right by the trolley. We could catch the trolley and ride all the way to canal street for food and more shopping. It did get quieter late at night and the sounds outside did not bother us in our room. Plenty of restaurants nearby also. The entire staff was really friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, our catalytic converters were stolen off our Toyota Tundra Truck. Thankfully the clerk at the front desk heard the buzz saw as the guy was cutting the pipes and was able to get a description as he was running off with my 4 catalytic converters. He called the police who came real fast and we filled out a police report and the hotel gave the police the security footage. Hoping they catch the guy. Estimated repair costs is $5000.00

Two great things about this hotel: 1) the staff : super friendly, very helpful and 2) the location: on the edge of the French Quarters and right near the Frenchmen Street live jazz scene. Also: the parking underground was a huge plus (be aware: first come, first serve - no guaranteed availability)

The room was quite outdated and fairly dark. (However!.. while we were there other rooms were getting completely remodeled). The kitchenette was present, useful for breakfast, but small enough that we didn't attempt to cook any meals.

The street car is literally right out the door of the hotel room. Frenchman Street is also just a step outside. Great location! Staff was super friendly. The room was perfect clean and comfortable. Just what we needed.

Our apartment along with the neighbor's had a separate door leading to our two front entrance doors. This door, which requires a staff-only key, was unintentionally locked by the neighbor, causing a delay in our entry for about an hour. We got to bed later than we had anticipated and had a long drive the next morning. Things happen, but kindly consider adding a chain to keep it open, program the guest key or add a sign to prevent accidental closures.

Great location!!! Less than 30 min walk go everything and anything you would want to do in down town new orleans!! We went mardi gras weekend for one night. They were so accommodating. Don't get me started about our room, more like an apartment it had 2 bedrooms with a queen in each and in the living area the sofa folded out into a queen as well. It had a kitchenette and 3 doors going out to the balcony from our room !! Will definitely be returning during other times of the year!!!

I mean honestly I have nothing bad go say about this place. If anything it would be that check in is a 4pm, but I asked for a 3pm check in and they approved. Got checked in and up into the room and it wasn't clean yet. So we had to wait out on the balcony for housekeeping
