Terrific location and great staff. Bedroom was away from the street, so very quiet for so close to the French Quarter. The pool looked inviting but never went in. Very comfortable.

The bed was very high, hard to climb into. Water pressure in the bathroom sink was low, though the shower wasn't too bad. I was moved to another unit the day before arrival that was a greater climb upstairs. Also, the top floor balcony isn't covered, so no shade on a hot day. Wifi was good, but it would fade in and out. I had to keep resetting or trying a different router.

Lovely old building with high ceilings and a four-post bed. Having no keys to worry about (just door codes) was nice as well. Lovely furnishings — very homey. Perfect location between French Quarter and Frenchman Street.

Not really issues, more just observations for folks to have a heads up about. The rooms are older, so don't expect perfect corners. Some of the outlets sparked at us when we tried to plug in our chargers... so watch for that. It would also be nice if there were more towels in the rooms for us, as we only had two bath towels for two people for four nights. However, I'm sure we could have requested fresh ones if needed.

check in was great, they gave us a call to see when we would be in and gave me the door code. when we arrived we entered and there was no one In the office but a number was provide and when we called she was up cleaning a room. they did email us the door code a day prior as well And told us our room number. we checked in and unfortunately no elevators so. we had to lug our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. not to big of a deal but good to know. the staff were great! answered the phones immediately. text us when the front door code changed (changed for safety on the regular) and provide us with pool towels when swimming. it was a close walk to everything, the drug using bum population is out of control so we drove and parked closer.the parking they offer is an extremely tiny lot, almost comical.we made it work with our big truck. we would stay again.

room was great! nice and big, CLEAN! pool was a life saver from the heat and clean!

Amazing location and beautiful room. I personally enjoyed the exposed brick and beams in the room. The balcony was a lively place for morning coffee and to watch traffic pass by. The pool in the courtyard was perfect to cool off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed on the third floor, so we ended our day climbing up a beautiful staircase. Overall, the room was clean and was perfect for our family trip.

The room could use a deep cleaning under furniture. Due to the age of the property, I completely understand about dust, but there were some leftover objects from previous guests under the bed and couch.

Reserved 1 bedroom suite with pool view. Clean room. Great location. Very sweet receptionist. Well appointed room. Enjoyed the separation between the den and bedroom. Great bathroom with his and her sinks. Huge shower. They honored our travel discounts without a problem. Will book there again.

Pool needed a little more attention, since it was one of the reasons we booked there, so we did not use. The bed was very uncomfortable. Felt like we were sleeping on plywood. Needs to be changed out. Blinds on door entering into the suite, missing slats, easy for other guests to peep in.

The location was only a few minutes walking from the French Market & Jackson Square!! The staff (especially Maurice) were extremely friendly and helpful! The size of the 1 bedroom loft was HUGE! The room was extremely clean, the kitchen was stocked with the main cooking necessities and dishes!! It had more of a "home away from home" feel which was extremely comforting when you're visiting a new city. We loved it and will be staying here every time we visit!! (Our room had a spiral staircase to access the bedroom and bathroom!!! So awesome!!)

There is no easy way for people with mobility issues to access rooms unless they are on the ground floor. The outer surface of the location is lacking, but didn't deter us from choosing this place because what's inside the rooms is phenomenal!! I just wanted to state this so that anyone reading this review will look beyond what they see on the outside and will fall in love with this place just like we did!

This hotel is a very good value located on the edge of the French quarter. It is and original building and is all upgraded with modern amenities, bathroom, kitchenette, wifi etc. It is a short walk from Jackson Square, Burbon Street and Frenchman Street, so lots of choices for restaurants, bars and music. Public transit from Jackson Square gives you access to anywhere in the city. The hotel is located just far enough from the center of action that the street noise did not disturb us. We parked in the hotel lot and didn't move the car until we left. This hotel is a good opportunity to be in the heart of the New Orleans tourism and music district in an authentic setting without paying an arm and a leg. Just don't expect the Four Seasons. or the Ritz.

As should be expected from a 150 year old building some things are run down. It been nicely upgraded with modern amenities, bathroom, kitchenette, wifi etc. but some little things didn't work or were broken. Office hours and housekeeping access are limited. Parking is limited, but the hotel has a small lot. If you rent one of their balcony apartments, with loft, which is a good choice for an extended stay, be sure to check your furniture options. Our party had two such rooms, one had a sofa bed and armchair in the main space making a nice seating are. The other has a full bed in that space, leaving very limited seating, but sleeping more people comfortably than the soft bed.

Great location! Pool was refreshing. Unit was roomy. Furniture was comfortable and the A/C was great. Loved the antique pieces!! Q was a fantastic host!!

NOISE! expected some traffic noise but did not expect four wheelers and dirt bikes and window rattling speakers. Other guests going up and down stairs also shook the living room windows. The walls and ceilings are thin enough to hear the upstairs neighbors conversations!!

The room was clean and quaint with a lot of character. If you want a place that’s clean and quiet to sleep with good value for your money, this is the place to stay. It was about a ten min walking distance from the craziness of bourbon street and five min from Frenchman street. Edit: Can I just say I left my charm bracelet in the room and they went through the trouble of mailing it back to me. WITH THE TRACKING NUMBER! Staff is willing to go the extra mile for you. Thank you Rachel!

I really don’t have any complaints about the property. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. There was one instance that they changed the code to the door and didn’t message me but I called and they answered quick. Also, there is no elevator so it might be hard for people to get up the stairs with a lot of luggage.

The hotel was located in the heart of the French quarter within walking distance to Bourbon and Royal street and the Ruby Slipper Cafe. We enjoyed taking a dip in the pool (we traveled in the middle of August!) after exploring New Orleans all day. The front desk staff was spectacular. Maurice was always helping us with the stroller and any questions we had.

The pool was "leafy" but we were glad that there was a big beautiful oak tree in the courtyard anyway. Mauricio cleaned up the leaves as soon as we mentioned it. So maybe not that we didn't like it, but if there's anything to work on, it would be that. However, if the option is to cut down the tree, don't! Leave the tree and all its lovely falling leaves too!
