excellent location for The Mint, and Frenchman Street. Quiet neighborhood. Decent restaurants in the immediate area. Mini Fridge in room. AC was marvelous. little courtyard to have a cup of coffee and relax. Staff was AMAZING. Very friendly and helpful.

Room itself was clean. AC vent and exhaust vent in bathroom needs to be cleaned. Chairs in room could be updated.

Location was the greatest - on the fringes of the French Quarter, so very close to everything, but away from all the bustle of the Bourbon St. The room was very tidy, cleaned every day. It was spacious and comfortable. The whole building was a beautiful historia NOLA building with wooden staircases and fitting interior design. The staff was the nicest and very helpful! Made my stay very comfortable and addressed all of my needs.

The upper story cannot be accessed by elevator, which can be a problem for some, but I didn't mind. The bathroom could use some work, but it was clearly cleaned every day.

The location was great. Walkable to most French Quarter restaurants and attractions yet far enough away from the Saturday night crowds and chaos. Also love that they offered a room with a loft with twin beds to accommodate our teens. They enjoyed having a separate sleeping area without me having to pay for a whole separate hotel room. The exposed beams and bricks were an attractive detail. The hotel decor was in the "vieux carre" style and the history of the building is interesting. It was originally built around 1833. The courtyard is beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I like that they treat you like you're familiar. It's a nice personal touch. I would consider staying here again.

WiFi was sketchy and not password protected for our section of the hotel. A few of the railings need some maintenance before there's an emergency involving a guest. The one in our room and one along one flight of stairs felt a bit unstable if you were to put too much pressure on them.

brilliant location, close to most all without being directly ontop of bourbon street itself. across the road is a good suitable breakfast place. nice character to it. small so not to busy. just the best access to everything you want to reach only a few blocks.

one of the staff was very much of the 'service type' - not interested. but it was ok, we just left him and his half-as answers and came back in another shift to get decent help and answers. all other staff were lovely.

Staff very friendly and helpful, hotel is situated in the French Quarter but away from the high traffic tourist areas, which affords a quiet, restful stay at Villa Convento. In addition, it is cost effective to stay at Villa Convento, as compared to other hotels in the French Quarter, a real perk. The courtyard is charrming.

The hotel itself could use some minor upgrades, but this does not deter from the great price and location of Villa Convento.

Loved the location and proximity to everything. The location was very quiet and comfortable. A lot less noise. The other guest also seemed more relaxed and calm. Loved the courtyard. Next time I would like to try a balcony room. The staff was great. Very helpful on recommendations for breakfast and the ideal times to beat the lines. Enjoyed the complimentary coffee.

Parking, Parking, Parking. The staff was very helpful on suggestions on where to park that would be close and not have to pay. I would suggest a more direct direction to these places. We ended up parking in the parking lot next to Canal Place and using the trolley. We did ask before hand about the parking with the hotel and was told as long as we got there early there would be a space available. We did get there way before early check in and was told nothing would be available at all, even if we waited for other check outs. My only complaint.

Staff are SO friendly and helpful! When I asked to borrow a flashlight to read my book on the patio one night, I was given one of the owner's personal headlamps to use for the night. Now THAT'S thoughtful service. He also gave me the name and phone number of a cab driver he recommended, to take me to the airport. That person was equally responsive and fantastic -- it was a zero-stress set up and trip to the airport on a busy Monday morning. I've stayed at this property before, and the boutique charm, location, and friendly staff brought me back -- and will again and again in the future.

Hallways were a bit dirty.

The location was perfect. An extra bonus was the parking garage that is available (first come first serve - only 8 spots) a short 4 block walk. The garage was free for guests - that saved time and money. The inner courtyard was quintessential French Quarter.

The room itself is in dire need of some care. The furniture is old and in some cases, falling apart. The toilet is not secured to the floor. The door needs adjusting, so it will close properly. But is was clean and safe, and provided a nice nights sleep.

This nearly 300 year old building is quirky in a good way. We loved it so much! She is endearingly shabby and comfortable. The elevator is very dramatic. The location is perfect. It’s walking distance to everything important. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else. If you want a Marriott experience, go to the Marriott. Villa Convento is for the traveler that wants a real Vieux Carré experience.
