Our stay at the Waldo Emerson Inn was absolutely perfect! The inn itself is beautiful and charming. It is located in the perfect spot, less than 10 minutes away from main streets in both Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Our room, Bourne, was gorgeous! It was even better than the photos posted. The room was comfortable and a great size for a couple. However, the hosts were the real highlight for us. Amelia and Ron greeted us warmly and were extremely friendly and accommodating. Amelia's assistant, Michael, was also incredibly friendly. The food that they cooked up for breakfast was delicious. We got engaged during this trip and Amelia, Michael and Ron were so wonderful in helping us celebrate. We're really looking forward to coming back in the future. Highly recommend the inn for a romantic stay or family trip.

Where to begin? How often do you get to stay in a home over 200 years old. All the imperfections of time noted as nothing in this home was level while it continues to fight against gravity. The owners were the nicest of people thinking of the smallest details. I was greeted by Amelia and taken to our room with our names on the door. The room was spectacular with wide board floors creaking ever so slightly. The attention to detail from the bed to the pillows, linens, and towels were noted by girlfriend and myself. Nothing here was left to chance! The community rooms were well thought out with offerings to comfort all. My only regret is I did not stay longer. Soon to be remedied on my next visit.

Amelia is an amazing host with attention to detail. Towels and bed linens were luxurious and the plush robes were a lovely touch. Our room was quaint, comfortable and clean. A beautiful blend of eighteenth and twenty-first centuries. The grounds are lovely with lush green accented with vibrant colors. The outside seating area is peaceful and a perfect spot for rest. Breakfast was beautifully presented, filing and delectable—far above any we have experienced in our B&B stays through the years. Our water and coffee are kept filled seamlessly as if bottomless, and Amelia and her son, Joe were attentive, accommodating enjoyable to visit with and kind. Overall a delightful experience and we hope to return in the not too distant future!

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Amelia and her staff were welcoming, lovely and accomodating. The breakfasts were filling and delicious and they had no problem catering to my food allergy. Michael was a wonderful and attentive host at breakfast. The location could not be beat. The common areas of the home were lovely.

The room was a bit small and tired and could use a little refresh. The mattress sagged in the center, so may be time to replace it. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable for the small amount of time we spent in it.

In keepers extremely gracious and accommodating. Willing to help with plans and advice. We felt like friends. She prepared breakfasts that were delicious and hearty for mist of us and special dishes for my picky eater. Special place special folks.

This isn't a negative comment its the form. We really loved it. But that's us. The house is historic. It isn't a modern 5 star hotel. Emerson's home. It still has secret passages from the underground railroad. Freindly fellow guests are also a plus for us.

Centrally located but away from the congestion. Appreciated use of the beach pass. Access to coffee, tea and wine off hours.

Perhaps the Waldo Emerson link could be played up more? Info on his time there? A quote or some other reference on the information sheet? Recommendations to visit some of his old haunts? A quote of the day whether at breakfast place-settings or left in rooms by cleaning staff? The sparse info in the “honor bar” room seems almost a sad afterthought

Absolutely loved our stay! Ron and Amelia, the new owners of the inn, were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The room we stayed in was so cozy during the winter and had a warm fireplace. Breakfast in the morning was also incredible and the hosts accommodated making a special avocado toast to our vegetarian preferences which we very much appreciated. Overall, this was one of the best inn stays I've ever had, and I definitely can't wait to return.

Everything was perfect, there isn't anything I can think of that could have been better.

The staff was great. Very valuable guidance on the area and supported activities and offered good advise on things to do and where to go. We liked that the B&B has parking passes, towels and chairs for the local beach...this was helpful and saved us money as there is a charge for parking at local beaches. The breakfast meals were all very well done and service was great.

We pretty much liked it all.

The inn is a historical building with only a few rooms. The hosts are sweet people and did so much to make our stay feel special. The breakfasts were delicious! And the bedding was the softest Turkish cotton. We also enjoyed the fresh chocolate chip cookies in our room, the coffee and tea stations throughout the property, and the honor bars where you can pour yourself a glass or two of wine and enjoy the fireplace.

We had a very nice room with nice bath. Very clean. Nice breakfast. The owners are lovely. There is a nice room to have a glass of wine that is available 24-7. We were there for 3 nights and it was really great

It’s in kennebunk and not kennebunkport. I thought they were same. But honestly only a couple of miles away and closer to places like york which wa beautiful
