The manager, Charles, was fabulous! He set up a cheerful, friendly vibe that was especially appreciated since I was traveling alone (for a workshop). Also, the value was great. As an artist, it's very hard to afford to travel to workshops since almost all lodgings are way above my budget, to the extent that I often can't afford to go. The coffee was good!

Could've been more healthier options for breakfast, ideally. I'd ideally have liked to have had breakfast earlier to get going on my day.

After so many anonymous places, we enjoyed the charm of this old style motel. Half-way between Portland and Plymouth, it is a very convenient location for exploring the coast and very quiet even though right next to the Interstate. Our room was big, clean and comfortable - even though the bed was a bit soft - and we were offered a generous buffet breakfast. There were a microwave and a full-size refrigerator in the room, and picnic tables and barbecues on the property. Had we had cooking equipment and cutlery with us, we would have been able to dine on the spot!

The breakfast room is much too small for a forty-odd-room establishment, so many customers had to bring their food and coffee to their rooms; it would have helped if trays had been provided.

we visited with my neurodiverse child they were very understanding and kind. One of the workers even gave my child some fidget toys at breakfast. The room was very clean and smelled clean. The grounds were very accomodating there was a grill and several patio places to relax. The playground and large grass area was great for anyone with kids. It was very close to any attractions we visited Ogunquit and Kittery but Portland wasn't far either.

Honestly, everything was amazing and it was hard to pick out any flaws. There wasn't really any room for improvement besides maybe providing more meat options around breakfast but that's just us being picky fat people.

It was a terrific location for exploring the area. The manager, Charles, was very attentive to all our needs. He prepared the breakfast buffet each morning and gave excellent recommendations on places to go, things to see, and restaurants to try. He even marked a map of the area for places to go! The grounds of the Lodge were beautiful, the room very clean and spacious (we had a king room). On the cool mornings Charles has a fire going in the lobby! This was the quaintest place we have stayed and we loved every minute of it! Upon our departure, we felt as if we were leaving family.

There was a cigarette odor in the room from a previous traveler, even though it was a no smoking motel.

Think european vacation spot. Not fancy but they treat you like family. They have bikes to ride, a pool, large sections for the dog to play and the proximity to both town and I-95 was fantastic. Huge help with suggested places to go and where things are. Such a nice staff. The parking was great and the outdoor sitting areas where nice.

The rooms are dated. and of all things the need a new table/chairs at table height in the kitchen. No one wanted to sit at the hightop. Having no chairs meant you had to always sit on someone's bed.

The location was perfect and not far from everything going on, but it was far enough away that there wasn’t too much traffic to try and get back to the motel. It was also very clean and comfortable. It was also a great price for the location and cleanliness of the place.

Nothing really. The only thing was that we were late to get started one of the days so before we were able to leave, housekeeping tried to come in and I informed them that we were still in there. They left and didn’t come in, but we noticed that when we came back, housekeeping did not try and come back later on so the bed was unmade and we did not have towels for the next day. Not a huge deal at all, but just a suggestion that even though people in the room are not ready for housekeeping just yet, maybe they could try again later on.

Staying at the 'Lodge at Kennebunk' was like being with family. From the wonderful, knowledgeable manager, to the friendly guests staying in the lodge to the fantastic cleaning team, we were very favorably impressed. We wish we had of booked for more than 4 days in Kennebunk --- it is a magnificent find. The manager (Charles) was the most likeable man! He was kind, very helpful, and made exceptional suggestions as to where to eat, places to go visit, and opportunities in the local area. What a gem! The location was spectacular! We could get to other towns (Ogunquit, Wells, Sanford, Kennebunkport, etc) within 20 minutes making vacationing in this area exceptional! The large bedroom was so comfortable, extremely clean, and well furnished ~ we had a lovely king size bed, microwave, refrigerator, TV, desk, chair, and closet. What else could you want? We were able to spread out, enjoy our 'down-time' in the room, and felt so much at home! The bathroom was modern with a lovely tub with a wonderful shower. The water pressure and temperature was fabulous - better than we have at home! (Superb) This is our 3rd trip to the Kennebunk, Maine area and the BEST location and lodge we have stayed at! We will be back! Thanks to all the employees for a wonderful vacation!

The Lodge at Kennebunk is an amazing place to stay. From the pool, to the children's play area, to the lovely tables and chairs to sit in front of the lodge, I have been delighted. The staff and other travelers have done a fabulous job making all the clients feel like they are family. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.

I enjoyed my stay at the lodge. It was very cozy and worth the price. The room was also very spacious and had a huge wall mirror that I found very useful! The dining room was such a quaint space, and not cold and uninvited like other places I’ve been. Staff was super nice and I felt well taken care of. Great location too! only 5 mins from downtown, but right off the highway making it easy to leave and locate.

The room seemed clean, but I did find some random hair against the baseboards and in the bathroom walls. I tired not to let it get to me, but it did kind of weird me out.

The BEST thing about The Lodge is Charles. Charles is a wonderful person who helped us out with getting another room at the last minute. The breakfast is very nice. The coffee is excellent. There are plenty of places to hang out outside including the pool. Some of the furniture pieces selected for the room are unique and beautiful.

Not all mattresses are comfortable. You can clearly hear your neighbor. The exit for the hotel is right before the rest stop. The rest stop is the view from the back of the hotel. This was not a problem just an observation.

Great value for a comfortable bed, large room and good location. It's an older property so the furnishings are older, however, we were comfortable and slept great on a very comfortable bed. We kept the a/c unit on to help us sleep undisturbed. Cleanliness, shower, toilet, microwave, little refrigerator, hot water, big TV all to our satisfaction. Staff was super nice! Maid service was great.

The only negative was recent resurfacing of walkways that brought little pieces of debris into our room. Maybe they should add outdoor mat in front of each door?
