My group of four arrived Friday around 7:30. We are 21-25 years of age. I spent weeks looking for a motel and couldn’t find one of reasonable price and distance to bars and the beach. Simple life was directly on the beach, had a nice sized room for 4 20year olds, and very accommodating with it. Our key cards didn’t work when we gir back from the bar at 2:30am, we called and the man told us to come down stairs and he’ll help us. This happens sometimes with the keycards. Maid service was very attentive and did an amazing job at picking up the room. We walked and bussed to all of our attractions. Definitely would stay here again!

I was annoyed when I paid $1,300 to stay here, then when I checked in I was informed I had to pay an additional $200 security deposit. You get it back at the end of your stay, but it was unfortunate that this wasn’t listed on any website and just sprung on me.

I loved how friendly the staff were. We misread the website and came in late for our check in and we were still greeted by an incredible friendly gentleman who was very accommodating when we visited Friday Sept 1st. Although he had to stay later because of us, he was still so friendly, understanding, and very patient with us, but he also got us checked in and directed us to our room very quickly and efficiently. He honestly reminded me of my cousin and that made staying there feel more home like. The rest of the staff there from what I saw were very diligent, and efficient as they cleaned, and tended to the guests staying there. The room was very clean, plenty of space in the room, kitchen with microwave stove top cabinets and fridge made the stay very convenient for us. Room had two bed, a couch, multiple tables, a night side table, a dresser, a closet, and a tv. I loved my stay, and this will be the first place I look at when I come to visit Ocean City again! 11 out of 10!

There wasn’t a single thing I didn’t like about this place!

The room was great, location is awesome. Ice cold a.c and hot water.

The paper thin blankets/sheets they NEED to be updated, as well as made sure they are clean and CHANGED. Both beds had what to look like 'blood" dried spots on the sheets kinda gross. You guys expect a 200$ deposit but we can't even get decent sheets. And as far as the shower, a curved curtain rod will fix the issue of the shower curtain touching the person the whole time they shower.

it looked exactly as it did in the pictures. the room was renovated and the cleaning ladies came in every morning / afternoon to make sure our room was stocked with towels, the bed was made, also mopped the floors. it was comfortable and held up everything it said it would from the description and pictures. this was our first time and we will book again!

the only comment I will make is that the bathroom is outdated and small.. also inside the shower, the walls weren’t the cleanest but not extremely dirty either. it can be a quick fix

The location is close to the beach. I didn't want to carry my beach items across the street to get to the beach, with this location, I didn't have to. Loved the view to the ocean (sideview). It was 4 blocks from the end of the boardwalk. The boardwalk is 2.25 miles long (something to think about, if you want to walk to the fun part) Within walking distance to food and entertainment. Expect sand, your at the beach.

The sliding door wouldn't/hard to lock (found out it was off track). There was 1 chair on the balcony, when I spoke to the front desk person, she wanted to play on words, until I told her to speak to the owner about a reduced price since there's 2 of us staying in the room. The balcony had 1 chair (Problem resolved before I could get out the shower). Housekeeping asked us the last day, did we want our room cleaned. My friend had been taken the trash out daily. Not sure why all the rooms don't have coffee makers. If you get a balcony,you don't get a coffee maker. Lol

Simple Life Motel is an exceptional well kept, clean, and modernized petite "Hotel," even though its a motel. Ice cold A/C, modern rooms and decor, a big screen LED TV, curtains to block out the sun, a mini-fridge and microwave, and hardwood floors all of which were impressive. Also, the Location, location, location was so close to the beach, with a complete onsite Full Bath House/Change Room (for guest who visit the beach and want to shower and rinse off after going to the beach -before/after check out), included parking, balcony with a view of the beach, quiet rooms, the feeling of safety, and the Customer Service from the amazing Hotel Staff, Becky, Tamara, night shift, and the cleaning staff was outstanding!! Everyone was so nice and friendly!! And Becky really cared!!! She made sure my room had a balcony that had a view of the beach!!! I chose this place over all other hotels, and its now my go to stay at Ocean City!

Everything was perfect. But the hairdryer in the bathroom didn't have a plug and was attached to the wall, and there wasn't a ventilation fan, and the bathroom got stuffy lol. So that was bummer, but who cares, we're at the beach anyway!!!! I still loved my room!

This location was perfect for our oc crusin 2024 spring trip. Perfect location on the strip. Super friendly staff and very welcoming. We can't wait to come and stay in october 2024!

Since it was off season staffing was a little bit of an issue but they had a number to get ahold of anyone if we needed anything.

The motel did its job, we came for a 3 day 2 night trip to Ocean city as a couple. The rooms were very modern and simple, it was quite the surprise. If you’re not a hotel snob this place is perfect!

2 Minute walk to the beach at MAX! AC was controllable with a remote and the balcony was so nice!

For the price the rooms were nice. The rooms themselves were updated so I'm assuming at some point so will the bathrooms. The staff was nice and the location was nice.

The beds aren't very comfortable, my back was killing me all week which made walking around unpleasant and being on the ground floor the first morning we were woken up very early to small kids running rampant in the room above us. The rooms are definitely not sound proof.

Outdated retro bathroom however everything was in excellent condition. There were no cracked tiles or signs of poor maintenance. The rest was updated with laminate flooring and furniture. The king bed was very comfortable however the pillows were over stuffed for my liking so basically slept without a pillow.
