Quality Inn Ocean City Beachfront

We stayed on the fifth floor ocean front which was great and we were the end room. Unfortunately we didn't get to get on the beach as it stormed the whole time. Outdoor pool was not yet opened either.

I liked the balcony with the ocean view. Also how the kitchette was stock with plates, utensils, cloths and washing liquid. loved the indoor and outdoor pools. I also liked the location just a few blocks from the end of the boardwalk and two blocks from the amusement park.

I was satisfied with the breakfast but wish it would have more variety. I wished the outdoor pool had a later hour I felt it closed too early. The microwave needed to be updated and the freezer needed to be defrosted.

After reading some previous reviews, I was a a little worried on how the room would be, but I figure those were probably people expecting a five star resort for an economy price, we were greeted at the desk upon check in and it went quickly, we got into our room, it was clean, plenty of towels, there was a sign saying the rooms would be serviced if you were doing a long stay every 3 days, we didn't mind, we hung up our towels and my wife made the beds, just like at home, it took only a few minutes. We had ocean front rooms for 4 nights and cost us a little over $400, how can you beat that. There were 2 pools, one inside and one outside. Free breakfast, was simple, bagels, fruit, waffles, cereal, some pre packaged danish, coffee, milk and juice, was fine with us, 2 days we ate out, which we didn't mind, were not hard to please, we plan on booking there next year, better than I expected.

I did book 6 months in advance an oceanfront room and expected to be on an upper floor, but I did not have a choice and we ended up on the 1st floor, but we weren't going to let a simple thing like that ruin our vacation, we could still see the ocean out of our window and beautiful sunrise.

Don't let other negative reviews worry you. I'm guessing there was a transitional period when it switched from Econo Lodge to Quality Inn and maybe things were rocky for a while based on some of the reviews - but our room was clean (and I am picky!) and comfy. Great pillows! They had decent breakfast items including bagels/make-your-own waffles, as well as quick items like muffins/cold cereal. Staff was friendly (yes, even the breakfast lady!). Housekeeping doesn't come unless you ask - which is clearly posted both on the bathroom mirror and on a slip in the room where you can check off specific items you need - which was completely fine with me! It's in a good location down just a few streets from the boardwalk. No extra charge for parking and the wifi seemed to work well. It was quiet at night - and we had a great ocean view and balcony.

I really don't have any big complaints. The elevator IS sketchy as some others have mentioned but we never got stuck on it.

The breakfast was very good however when I went over Easter,there was no one there. As the season is here,I think a larger space will be needed.

When I booked the hotel, on your site, it said it was an Econolodge and when I arrived, no one was in the Building and I entered and could have met harm and no one would have known a thing. Then I saw someone outside and said the office was Quality Inn.A bit confusing and scary at the same time. After that I secured a room and the staff was very nice and caring. I mentioned security as I was traveling alone.

The location was great! The hotel was actually nice than expected. Close to lots of activities and restaurants, took morning walks to boardwalk.

The coffee!!! It was the worst coffee I have ever had. They provide a free breakfast, which is great if you are budgeting or with big groups. I did not partake as the line was pretty long. Good breakfast spots walkable and affordable. Staff could use a friendlier attitude. Not rude, just blah and there.

The staff was incredibly nice to my family and my children which made our stay so nice. The maintenance, housekeeping and management all asked our childrens names and greeted our 10 month old everytime they saw her with "oh hi Emma!" We enjoyed the amenities and as they are working out some kinks in the new facilities everyone has been more than accommodating.

Breakfast could use more options as my children would only eat a muffin.

I loved the room, it was spacious for my family and the extra Sofabed was a bonus! Our room faced the beach so we had a great view, besides, the walk to the beach was convenient. The location of the hotel was great, a few blocks from the broadwalk, shopping centre, restaurants and amusement park.

Daily cleaning of the area leading to and from the beach is necessary because of the traffic in and out of the hotel. Also the rinsing area when coming from the beach, the water has no drainage line, hence creates a small pool - not cool.

Excellent location! We thoroughly enjoyed our ocean front balcony. It was a great shady spot in the afternoons and evening. The efficiency kitchen had enough essentials for our purposes.

The facilities were showing their age a bit. For example, the safety bar and inside deadbolt lock on our door did not work. Still, things were clean. The breakfast options were very limited, mostly carbs. A protein option (even if just peanut butter) would be nice.

I loved that the bathroom smelled like cleaning products so I know it was clean.I loved the waffle maker in the morning and having the balcony door open to feel the cool breeze in the room while I relaxed. Bonus for me and greatest thing of all was that the ac in the room worked wonderfully. Most of our visits to hotels lately have had broken ax in the room..my husband and I need it cool to sleep. Thank you quality inn!
