Hampton Inn Detroit/Auburn Hills-North

The closest you could get to Great Lakes Crossing. Great location. Always love the hot beverage station and my kids enjoyed the pool. We didn’t partake in breakfast, but the selection looked good. All the staff we encountered during our stay were pleasant.

Our room was on the second floor, there was a draft coming through under the heater/ac unit, so it was constantly turning on. So we couldn’t get a comfortable temperature in the room. The beds weren’t as comfortable as other Hampton Inns we’ve stayed in. My husband tripped and fell on West side staircase. The top stair had a divot and he caught his boot on the carpet. It was an accident, but something that should be fixed.

The facility was very clean and appealing. The location was great and the breakfast had a pretty good variety. The staff was friendly and informative and the noise level was minimum!

The beds were not very comfortable. We all woke up kind of sore from how hard they were. The breakfast was a bit cold even when in the hot plates.

The facility was very clean, comfortable, and as described. The employees had the best customer service we have experienced since the pandemic. The location was perfect right next to Great Lakes Crossings. Highly recommend Lefty’s Cheesesteaks across the street. I would definitely stay here again, and I would recommend it to my family. Thank you!

Our vehicle did get damaged in the parking lot, and we found a used needle on the ground next to our vehicle; however, it wasn’t the hotel or the employees fault, I would just be cautious of your surroundings if you have children.

Location was great, easy to find. The room was nice, but it was damp in the room and the carpet was damp. Overall had a great stay. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good.

Breakfast was wonderful! The room was clean and had nice bedding.

The bed is pretty hard and there is an extra charge for incidentals that was not listed in the booking page. Good to have a heads up for extra charges.

We stayed in the room on the main floor, next to the pool. Room needs some maintenance (toalet flash, shower head etc) and it was odor coming from ac when it was on.

Location was great, ( close to the mall), breakfast was nice, wide variety of items to choose from. close to restaurants, and other shopping.

Parking lot was very small, ( had three different wedding parties booked for the hotel), parking was very limited, had to circle around several times to find a spot. Had to make appointment to use the pool.

The location was handy for the concert we attended at Pine Knob (aka DTE Energy Center).

The breakfast was listed on the weekend as from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. but lo-and-behold went out at 9:15 a.m. & a hand written note that wasn't there the night before said 9 a.m. A bit miffed to say the least.

the night person that checked me in was awesome. I had traveled all day and he was very nice and helpful finding me someplace close to eat. and I checked my party in ahead of time and they were well taken care of when they got there. top rate

The breakfast was great even though it was pre-packaged, really good spread. I liked that there was notice given about the adaptions due to COVID before we got to the hotel. Last time we visited in June/July of 2020, there was little notice given and no alternatives given either.

I didn't really have much I didn't like, I think there were only two issues. The mattress seemed a bit hard for our liking, woke up with a bit of a sore back and neck. The other was that the pillows were really soft, after a few hours it felt like I didn't have any anything holding up my head while sleeping.
