Holiday Inn Club Vacations - Tahoe Ridge Resort, an IHG Hotel

can’t beat the location for skiing at Heavenly. Kids enjoyed the ping pong tables and pool. Staff were very friendly and helpful when we asked to have the door between our adjoining rooms unlocked and to use the facilities same day after we checked out. Bistro bar was a convenient place to watch March Madness.

We couldn’t get the room to cool off for sleeping at night but maybe we would have figured it out if we stayed longer. Hot tub for our building wasn’t in service but there was another option at the club house. Entrance to the garage was covered in ice and extremely slippery - would suggest some rock salt.

The room was very spacious and clean. The resort itself had many activities to take advantage of if you did not want to explore. The location was close to the downtown area as well as many hiking trails and scenic views if that peaks your interest. Overall, it was a great facility and well maintained.

The only thing that I didn't like was the lack of parking for certain buildings. There were not enough spaces towards the end of our trip once more and more people came in.

The view from here is breathtaking. I knew it wasn’t going to be full on Lake Tahoe view, but I was awed by the view down the mountain into the valley on the Nevada side. It was the most pleasant of surprises. Our room in The Tower gave us a great vantage point. I thought the pool hours were great! The ski express seems super convenient for folks who are skiing and whatnot. That’s a skill for my future, hopefully. The food from the bistro was very good. The poor lady working that counter did a wonderful job despite being bombarded with call in orders, to go orders, and dine in orders. I think that is too much for one person. She was super pleasant and professional despite being in the middle of what looked like an understaffing situation.

The constant heat in our rooms in the tower. It was honestly really difficult. There were box fans in the closets, and I’d seen other reviews that mentioned this issue. So obviously it’s a known thing. We had a balcony so we could open the door, but it did not really affect the temperature in the master bedroom in our 2 bedroom suite. Also, there was a surprise incentive at check in if you went to the sales pitch for the Holiday Inn Owner’s situation. I guess like a timeshare. It was easy enough to decline, but I didn’t expect it. We had a very short trip with no extra time for things like that.

We loved that it was so close to the lift. You have to take a shuttle just down the hill or ride the monorail (though very slow and there can be a line-- so shuttle is better). The suite we had was so spacious and comfortable, and we had a lovely view. We would definitely stay here again!

It's not very near town, so pick up groceries and any essentials before you get there. There is a little market down the hill, but it's pricey. Also, there really isn't a place to play for kids outside during the winter (or Covid) at least, which we were fine with, but might be hard for some families with young children. Also, the people above us made a TON of noise the first two nights, so beware that the floors are thin.

Beautiful area

They didn’t have my reservations when we got there even though I had emails and booking number. Finally they gave us a room that was a studio when we had paid for a villa. Finally got straightened out but was a negative experience for a few hours for sure

Very spacious room for five adults. Nice kitchenette and living areas. Beautiful view. The property is not suited for easy walking from building to building, very steep, but the shuttle and transportation services were excellent and timely. Nice family pool area.

A little quicker response to phone requests at front desk. Having said that, all desk personnel were pleasant and easy to deal with. No real complaint.

Beautiful location. Rooms were nice and the layout of the 2 bedroom suite was great for us.

The only cons were availability of parking by our building and a long walk to the warm swimming pool.

We loved the room. It was very nice. The bathroom had an incredible tub. The room was amazing. The facility as a whole was beautiful. The location was beyond beautiful. Definitely will be back.

We did have a few things so I had to mark down for comfort. The bed was a number bed but the remote didn’t have batteries so it was so uncomfortable. Not having a bed like this at home I have to say it was horrible. The tv remote was really hard to get to work and the phone didn’t work.

Great location, easy to get to Stagecoach Lift. We had to wait about 1.5hrs for our room but ended up getting upgraded because of the wait. Everyone was super nice. Room is a little outdated but very comfortable and spacious. Loved having the kitchen in the room.

I would have liked our room to be ready but I understand. We hung out in the clubhouse, had a drink and played pool so it wasn’t bad.
