Very charming house in a quite street and a neighborhood with a nearby supermarket and grocery stores. Only a short walk to Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the fantastic Brooklyn Museum is only a 20 minutes walk as the metro stations that are connecting to Manhattan. The is a small kitchen where you can prepare breakfast and also cook meals, the fridge is spacious and clean. There is tea and instant coffee provided. The shared bathroom was clean and the shower large. Brooklyn is a part of NYC that is definitely worth to be explored and Manhattan is not far away and easily reached by public transport. We felt at home.

Michelle (the host) was so lovely, warm and welcoming. The House is in a great location with good access to shops, subway etc. It's also super quiet and calm inside the house compared the chaos of NYC. Our room and bed was incredibly comfy too! Absolutely loved our stay! Also loved that they had a neat little kitchen with all the basics so we could cook our food to save some $$$

I enjoyed the location a lot. Nice neighbourhood, convenient to explore Brooklyn and Manhatten with easy train line connects. I liked being close to prospect park and the the street is very quite and night and quite calm and green for NYC. Also the old house had a lot of character and personality. Nice big bathroom and little kitchen to use if you wanted to make your own food at any point. Friendly host.

I booked the single room which was not pictured on booking.com - so it wasn't until after I made the booking that I realised how much smaller the room was from the other beautiful rooms pictured. I still had a nice stay, but would have been great to have the single room pictured so you know what you are booking. The aircon unit in the room was very noisey but necessary to sleep at night. Would have loved if the window could have been opened.

The room is large and the bed is very comfortable. A very pleasant shower and a well kept kitchen are available. This classic old house has a lot of character. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Very nice neighborhood with plenty of shops, as well as a nice large park and public garden at only a few streets distance, all near a nearby subway station.

The nice old character of the house comes at a price as every floor and staircase makes sound with every step, though this did not bother me a lot personally

It is a lovely quiet room with a sturdy bed. Though shared, the bathroom is spacious and cleaned daily. The residence offers a kitchen and is really close to many restaurants, the prospect park, and transport. Check in and check out was seamless. Mitchell was a friendly host.

The stairs are quiet steep so you'd have to keep this in mind if you have luggage. It's an old house so the doors may not be the most secure if that is something important. The bathrooms are shared but I found they were mostly clean.

We were in town to attend a wedding at Prospect Park Boathouse and chose this bnb for the location. It was a relaxed 10 minute walk in an eclectic neighborhood from lefferts gardens to the boathouse. Would have been hard pressed to get any closer, especially without a car. Michele, the manager, was very sweet and offered to walk us over to the boathouse so we would know exactly where to go the next day. We ended up having a lovely walk through the entire park. Michele was kind and helpful. The things that were most important to us when choosing our stay, beyond location, met our expectations: the ac in the room and the bed were excellent. Wifi worked fine and the bathroom had a large walk-in shower with an excellent hot water flow.

No real negatives. Just be aware of steep stairs if coming with heavy bags. The shared kitchen and bath worked fine for us and we had them to ourselves whenever we needed.

The location was perfect because we were visiting our family just a few blocks away. Loved the whole historical architectural features of the places. Loved the host, Michelle… she was so attentive and responsive, kind and friendly.

The bed was terrible. Very creaky and hard. The dresser was adequate size, but had no knobs so it was difficult to use the drawers. The card table was pretty tack and office chair….an afterthought. The size of the room was so large and wonderful and so would have been really nice if there was a larger sofa (rather than the small wicker love seat) and get rid of the card table and office chair and replace with a smaller “office” area

The place was a gorgeous inside and out historic brownstone home with elegant wooden furnishings and accents and stained glass windows in the anteroom, bathroom and a skylight in the top of the stairs. The Junior Suite room I stayed in was expansive with a large comfortable bed and a very luxuriously soft couch in the bedroom and a second couch in the anteroom. The bathroom is updated with a modern glass walled shower and is shared with only one other room on the floor so no issues at all with access and use. Michelle was a lovely, friendly, and extremely helpful and informative hostess. The neighborhood is lively and food options are extensive but it is a residential neighborhood so only the bars are open after 10 PM. I would definitely come back here again!

It is an old historic building so the stairs are steep and may be difficult for some people with mobility issues to navigate. I didn't have any problems at all. The weather was very nice with lows in the low 60's during my stay but presumably there will be a window AC unit installed during the warmer months.

everything was ok you can hear creaking wooden stairs in the hallway through the door but it wasn’t problem for us

The beautiful rooms and elegant furnishings. It had a small kitchen with a full size stove and sink. The friendly greeting from the manager on arrival. The proximity to the train station and Prospect Gardens.

Breakfast was included, bur only consisted of a muesli bar. Not enough cutlery in the kitchen. I didn’t realise the manager was on location at the property until I was leaving The steep stairs up to the bedroom, and no lift.
