Good Place, nice room and budget friendly. Just across a big grocery store and right above the train station. easy to go to Mahatan.

People do not clean in the The Kitchen. If the hostel knows about this , more regular cleaning should be provided by the establishment.

If you are only looking for a place to sleep over while you explore New York, this place is more than sufficient. While not fancy, Q4 is a good place for resting after a long day of walking. It is also very close to the subway and Ed Koch Bridge, making Manhattan very accessible. The staff is young, helpful, and approachable, and there is a food market right next to the Hotel.

We couldn't lock our suitcases anywhere. Luckily, I came with friends, so we felt pretty safe about our stuff. However, if staying in the hotel, the guest must find a way to secure their luggage.

24 hour check in, staff knew what they were doing, rooms were cleaned very well, facilities were great - the kitchen was the best I've seen in a hostel and the lounge area was huge. Having a bathroom & shower in your room is also a big plus.

It feels a little stark, a little corporate. That's not a problem, just a choice. The hostel isn't trying to provide a matchmaking service so you can find fellow travellers to go on a night out with (although I'm sure you could do that if you wanted to), they're trying to provide a very high standard of facilities at a very competitive price. What they're trying to do, they do very well, but the trade-off is that this feels a bit more like a hotel than a hostel in its vibe. If you're looking to crash for a few nights, then that's perfect, but if you're looking for a night of sing-songs around a campfire and amazing stories from fellow travellers on the road, then you're not going to get it here.

This hostel in Long Island City has a convenient location right near Queens Plaza, putting Manhattan easily within reach. The hostel itself is well-maintained and clean. The staff is not overly friendly but they are professional and efficient. The dorm beds are basic yet comfortable, with all the essentials provided for a decent night's sleep. The large kitchen has every appliance and tool you could need to cook for yourself. The lounge area offers plenty of spots to unwind, use the free and fast WiFi, and chat with fellow travelers. For those on a budget, the money-saving self-catering options and proximity to Manhattan make this a great value. Q4 remains a top choice when staying in NYC. I would certainly return to this hostel next time I visit the area.

It's an efficient set up with all the basic facilities you could want from a hostel. The staff were great and I particularly appreciated the fact that they found some earbuds I'd left behind, messaged me promptly about them and kept them for my return trip later in the week. It's a major plus that there are so many transport connections around here.

$7 storage charge for luggage is pretty steep. Most places will keep your stuff behind the desk between check out and a departure mere hours later.

Great location, absolutely gorgeous staff, safe surroundings, a big supermarket nearby, close to subway (express line to WTC 20 minutes). A nice building with high ceilings, really clean with a nice kitchen and common room. You can easily walk to two piers at Long Island City Gantry Plaza or Hunters Point South (a little bit further but still walkable even at night). Ferries is a must, the views of Manhattan are absolutely stunning (4$ with 120-minute transfer window)

Everything works perfectly

This hostel is so clean, housekeeping always does it everyday, good location and close to subway Queens Plaza and Queensboro, near the mini market, have hair dryer and iron to borrow, kitchen big space and can cook foods, everything is ok for me, i will be back here when i travel in NYC next time for sure ;)

No elevator

Really clean, great kitchen and shared spaces, plus good location— just outside of Manhattan about 20 min on the subway. Staff were friendly and helpful, and let me stash my luggage before check-in. Fairly good sound dampening on the windows which helped with street noise. Neighborhood was nice as well; two grocery stores nearby and lots of restaurants/coffee shops, plus a few street carts!

Literally right next to an above-ground subway line (as they mention in the description) and a major road, and it’s VERY noisy even with the sound dampening windows. If you’re a light sleeper you will have some issues. Also, lockers are fairly narrow and will only fit (small to medium) backpacks.

Great place to stay at in low budget, very comfortable, clean, nice room and stuff. Close to the metro stations buy walk and very easy to get to Mannhaten.

Weak Wifi service on 3rd floor (don't know about other floors), no elevators and a lot of stairs to climb with luggage.

The location is very close to subway, room is clean and has everything what you need to just sleep over night. I Iiked that we´ve had also bathroom including toilet in the room. It´ s just few stops by metro to the main attractions. Staff is very nice and helpful.

The location is on the main road with traffic so it´ s also very noisy and sometimes problem to fall asleep.
