LIC Plaza Hotel

LIC Plaza Hotel is a short walk from Queensboro Plaza metro station (N, W, and 7 lines) and a short distance from Queensbridge metro station (F line). The location is excellent for getting to Manhattan, LaGuardia, and JFK airports. The staff is courteous and helpful, and housekeeping is manic and daily. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful! The entire facility is smoke-free. The stay was simply great!

The staff at this hotel really try hard to make your stay comfortable. We had a problem with our booking and the manager Ms. Fang sorted it out for us effectively.

The hotel is located in an area which is quite rundown and is fine in the day time but at night I would feel uncomfortable walking around.

I enjoyed my stay here - firstly it is in a great location. One train from the airport, and one train into Manhattan for all sight seeing needs. There are restaurants nearby if you don’t feel like going into the city every night etc. The employees at the hotel were extremely helpful - there was a button you could click if you did not want to be disturbed, and a button to request your room be made up. Check in went smoothly, and we were allowed an extra hour at checkout! They also let us store our bags on our last since our flight was a lot later in the day. We also enjoyed the hotel breakfast - which had bagels, croissants, fruit and tea and coffee, alongside hot options such as eggs. The bed in the room was so comfortable - even more comfortable than hotels nearby that we have stayed in at a higher price point! Very clean, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC.

Connection in the area was a little spotty at times.

Location was great , 4 minutes walking from the train, and about 15-19 minutes ride to Times Square. Property was very clean, love breakfast buffet every morning. Rooms are small , but it is NYC so it is ok, it was enough space for my husband and I. My brother stayed at the room next to mine and they had a double bed, they are a family of 4 and they fit very well, it was a little tight but we had no complaints. Also they offer shuttle to the airport, we arrived at LGA, and the shuttle pick us up in about 15min, there is a fee of $40 for the shuttle.

The hotel is very convenient for visiting Manhattan (just 1-2 subway stops), while being much more affordable than most equivalent hotels. The room was spacious (compared to other rooms in the city) and clean. Breakfast was very nice (although a tiny bit of day-to-day diversity could help). The staff was nice and helpful. Overall a great stay, highly recommended.

Walls are paper-thin - you can normal-volume conversations from adjacent rooms (not to mention doors shutting), and sometimes nearby trains passing by. I recommend opting for quieter rooms (and not ones with nicer views, which you'll likely see anyway). Air-conditioning was basically broken - we could not heat-up the room. The staff did offer a portable heater. Not too many options within walking-distance from the hotel in terms of food and bars, but just get on the subway and you're set. My personal tip: explore the venues around Astoria and in LIC. Many really great options, about 20% cheaper than Manhattan. No safety deposit box.

I liked the location, the room, and the breakfast. The hotel was located close to two metro stations, which made it very easy to move to Manhattan or Brooklyn. The streets at the hotel were quiet at night. The room got cleaned everyday and very well. The breakfast was big and you could eat as much as you wished. They refilled everything immediately. The staff worked so well and I appreciate this place a lot. The staff was willing to help you anytime (Luggage, Where to wash clothes etc.).

Great value. Big room, new, extra-clean. Great location, with access to 5 main subway lines at 5 minutes of walking. A lot of restaurants and delis nearby, secure neighborhood. Free breakfast buffet included, simple but quality. we got great views of manhattan also.

The staff was always available and nice. They kept our luggages for free after our checkout time to enjoy the city before leaving. Location was also great, in 1 metro stop we were in Manhattan. The breakfast had all the basic things you might need.

We travelled with the family and were pleasantly surprised that rooms are so clean and there is a dining area downstairs where one can find hot and cold water around the clock, as well as microwave. Cleaning was done daily, which made us really happy!

The staff made a great effort to make their customers happy, the brunch was really good. And the rooms were very clean even though I felt that they needed to update the sheets. My sheets had some tears in them.

The only thing I didn't like was that there was no fitness facility and since it's New York there's no parking
