Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Rochester-University Area, NY

First of all, we loved the staff who made it feel like you have known them your whole life .... the hotel is clean the rooms are clean and the facilities are great including swimming pool, gym, washing equipment and breakfast. We had a comfortable stay rooms are well equipped with TV, fridge , hot drink maker complementary washing AC and the beds are so nice to sleep in. Our flight was cancelled, and they did everything to get us back in for 1 night without hesitation. If anything, the team was so excited to see us again, which melted the frustration of the cancelled flight. We will definitely be staying again. Had a little issue with the drains ,this was sorted at lighting speed with zero issues. The staff are always happy to help the team are a great asset to the company. Thank you

The entire staff was exceptional! From arrival to departure & every day of my stay all the staff was wonderful. The lobby, hallways, breakfast room were very well maintained. The lobby offered coffee, tea and cookies daily, a lovely touch on arrival and each day. My suite was nicely appointed, very clean and the bed was comfortable. The suite (kitchenette suite) was very well laid out & also provided a desk with an adjustable desk chair, a leisure chair and ottoman and a wide range of lighting options in each area of the room. The air conditioning unit worked wonderfully (and it was exceedingly HOT weather). The room door provided additional safety security which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast exceeded my expectations in variety and quality as did the hotel grounds (lovely landscaping at the entrance). I'd highly recommend a stay here.

the fact that there wasn’t enough lights in the room. It was a one bedroom so the livingroom had a desk which was bare (usually a light), no sitting chair or an end table or coffee table. It had no light over the area where coffee pot, fridge was. so it made it difficult to make the coffee or use microwave with only the shadow from the floor lamp over by the couch. The other thing that was funny it didn’t have a dresser in the bedroom so nowhere to put your clothes ( it was an old piece of furniture that use to hold a microwave and fridge.) We did mention it to the clerk that was are only complaint - they explained they were doing middle renovations. Gym was great, breakfast had a lot of choices. Fresh cookies and they had coffee brewing all the time. 

My husband & I travel quite a bit... In all honesty, we've stayed at many great hotels with great service, staying at the Comfort Inn was like staying with family! The staff from Mother/Daughter at check in, night man, Derrick, Glennel in Housekeeping, Jeanette, Paul, especially your Maintenance/Groundsman and all the other staff members made the trip the most fun and memorable of our marriage, which is 44 years of travel. Everyone was welcoming, helpful and I mean anticipating what might be needed!

I would just say that the toilet in our bathroom was very low to the ground... We are both tall (and older) and wished it was normal height. Need to add another POSITIVE, your text & email communications and updates are greatly appreciated & far superior to other hotel chains.

This was easy to get to from the Erie Canal Trail (we were cycling). The lobby had free cookies!! And coffee/tea. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good / typical layout with lots of choices: waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, coffee/tea.

There was nothing we didn't like. We would stay here again if we were in the area. Everything was a little nicer than expected.

Hotel is within a 5-10 minute easy drive of the University of Rochester, although within walking distance would be even better. Large spacious room that could easily accommodate my meager luggage and still get around the room with ease. There were plenty of easily accessible outlets in addition to USB connection for charging devices. Room was very clean and upkept. Wall AC & heating unit was effective in maintaining a good sleeping temperature and the bed was pretty comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from for comfort. Shower temperature and water pressure were good. Sink area was large enough to spread out my toiletries and basics for shampoo and soap were provided. Room was very quiet. Wifi was strong and allowed for easy facetime and movie streaming. A good hot and cold breakfast was offered with sufficient space for guests; and there is a TGF Friday within minutes walking distance for lunch, dinner, and bar. Large parking lot with free parking. Easy check in and out at the front desk and staff was very friendly. Price was better than hotels within walking distance of University or Rochester.

I prefer lodging within walking distance of the University of Rochester where I was dropping off my daughter, but frankly, this hotel is a good alternative if you can't get that, especially for the price. Anything else would just be quibbling.

The hotel offered a nice variety of breakfast items including scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, cereals, breads, mini muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt and juices, When we arrived for our stay, coffee and fresh cookies were available in the lobby. Our room was very comfortable and clean although somewhat small, it had everything we needed including a fridge and microwave. Although we didn't have the opportunity to use the pool or gym, they were available. The Country Inn and Suites is well located, near a restaurant and a short way from an interstate. Other restaurants were just a short drive away. We will be staying there again this week because it was so convenient. Our room although just across from the elevator was very quiet. Be careful using the sink. The hot water can be very hot. Check in was simple and quick.

As mentioned the room was a little small.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast exceeded expectations. Pool was great, but a little too much chlorine. Parking was good. Room was very good. Enjoyed watching old movies on the TV. Cookies in the lobby were a very nice treat!

Was initially hard to find access from the roadway, had to turn to a side road. Once we had that figured out it was easy. Had to figure out card reader for room door, but was easy once we figured that out, too.

My daughter and I were in town to tour a college and I mistakenly booked another hotel that was dirty and sketchy so we decided to leave that hotel. Upon arrival Tatiana who worked at the front desk made sure we felt comfortable and safe. During our whole stay she and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and made the few days we were in town very pleasant.

I have nothing bad to say about this property.

Clean and quiet even on the night they had 2 soccer teams staying there, enjoyed breakfast and staff was excellent, very accommodating

AC unit needs to be cleaned, smells a little and doesn't cool efficiently. I was a maintenance person for years and have rebuilt many of these units so I know what I'm talking about. Room was a little small, to many tables and no chairs ☹️
