Holiday Inn Express Rochester - University Area, an IHG Hotel

Mostly Everything especially a few of the workers who stood out above the rest. Cynthia and Roro? Not sure of the spelling of second one were probably 2 of the kindest humans ive ever met.🥰 And also the one lady that checked us in, wish I could remember her name. She was also very kind!! 🥰

The rooms were amazing!!! Except the mattresses definitely need replaced. I recently had back surgery and that was the worst mattress I've ever slept on. Woke up every hour trying to get comfortable. So yeah..that was the only negative on the room. Plus we couldn't get my friends son to sleep or ourselves because of very rude guests that were running up and down the halls from like midnight till about 130am. But that is NOT the hotels fault! 😊

Comfortable beds, ease of parking with a UHaul and trailer, ease of highway off and on, breakfast offerings were really great, with a variety of breakfast items to accommodate many breakfast preferences, including eggs and sausage, hot oatmeal with fixings, a variety of bakery, yogurt, cereals, breads for toasting, juice, milks, very nice choices. Service desk was excellent. Great amount of towels in the bathroom, both bath and sink pump soaps, shampoos, moisturizer.

I slept on the side of the bed with the wall and there were maybe 7 inches for me to walk off the bed, very awkward! We laughed a lot, how I had to get out of bed, it was a bit ridiculous. The pantry in lobby was lacking.

Great experience with this hotel! Excellent value for why we paid. My friend and I took our kids to The Strong Museum and it was a short drive from the hotel. Our breakfasts included had lots of variety with both hot and cold options!! Our kids lived it! The pool was open, very warm and we had it to ourselves! A really nice time we’ll definitely return again!!!

Our tub didn’t have a plug so my little one used my friend’s room for a bath.

Breakfast was excellent, however, their coffee was perfection. I appreciated the variety of creamers they provided. Additionally their breakfast items were kept full & the staff was happy to help with any needs.

The door to our room was very difficult to open. I spoke to the women at the front desk thinking my key was not working. She informed me that the door often sticks and I needed to give it a good push. Upon returning to my room I swiped my keycard the light turned green and I opened that door as if I was going to catch my man with another woman! lol Needless to say the door opened right up!

The location was very easy access and close to everything we needed. The room was clean overall, beds were comfortable enough. The continental breakfast was good and the woman running it "Ms Flo" was the absolute sweetest ever and so attentive. Would definitely stay here again if we're up in the area.

The light immediately walking into the room was out, the bathroom sink drained VERY slowly, shower had a slow drip that constantly ran. We had pulled the beds away from the walls looking for an outlet, where we found goldfish and other garbage.

I loved the full breakfast each morning. I am on a low carb diet and had plenty of choices so each day was unique. Liked the hand sanitizing protocol before entering in the area to get the actual breakfast. I was impressed with the extra carpet sanitizing during my stay! I felt very safe! I often try to choose Holiday Inn Express when I'm traveling, because I know I will always have the same quality of stay.

I really appreciate the cleanliness and the washer and dryer. Front desk staff were helpful and the breakfast was great for a quick start. So appreciative of this last min booking for my exhausted family.

I forgot a pair of boots in our room and called a couple hours after we checked out. I spoke with Felicia at the front desk, who tracked down my boots and left them for me to pick up the next day. Felicia rocks!

It was great

Rooms was very clean. Location was perfect, right off the highway and close to restaurants, walking or driving. Great mattress and good nights sleep considering the uncontrolled cherubs in the next room. GREAT staff. Very friendly and accommodating.

It was no fault of the staff however, the room next to us had at least 5 in the room... 2 adults and 3 kids. More screaming, banging and slamming doors than at an amusement park. Began as soon as they came in until well after midnight.

Staff was exceptional and allowed early check-in after being displaced from previous hotel when water in the building stopped working. Room was also comfy and gym was pretty decent.
