The hotel has a neat industrial-chic feel. The staff were friendly. The fitness center was well equipped and the condition of the equipment was very good. I was charged an erroneous charge at the bar and the staff corrected it.

The overall hotel layout is a little cumbersome, for example, there is not a good exit on each side of the hotel without cutting through the restaurant. The coffee maker in the room was weird and hard to use if you're not familiar with Nespresso.

Beautiful, comfortable, and all staff interactions were kind and genuine.

There is no room service offerings but great access to amazing restaurants.

Overall great elegant place. Being a decorator the details are what matter to me. Nice touch with a clock in the room on the nightstand that had the correct time. Tons of extra towels with washcloths. Valet service for the car. I don’t like rain head showers but the shower was large enough that you could step out of it and not get your hair wet if you didn’t want and still take a nice shower. The lounge and bar area is quite lovely.

The service at breakfast was a bit slow…. The menu was a little over the top. I ordered scrambled eggs.. what I got was eggs with cheese (not cheddar) and garlic to the point they didn’t taste like eggs. The decor was aesthetically lovely but the wood tables were sticky.. the pottery used didn’t seem very conducive to food, the mugs didn’t hold heat so the coffee was instantly cold…again the decorator in me paid attention to small details.

Overall great hotel, but online I booked Mountain View room was given courtyard city view room. Online states a mini bar & room service. The room had neither one of those. So all 3 were reasons I picked this hotel & got none of 3 things I wAnted for $700/night Location was excellent.

Beautiful upscale decor, modern with a nod to the historic context of the building and district. The adjacent Benne restaurant reflected a similar ambience, and the food, locally inspired and sourced was very good. With few exceptions, the staff were very friendly and responsive. The location was perfect for easy walking access to restaurants and galleries in the historic downtown district. It was also easy to navigate in and out of Asheville to enjoy local attractions.

The response to a strange incident involving housekeeping was poorly coordinated. I don't know if this was a reflection of communication between departments or a failure to understand the significance of the event. In the end, we put our concern aside and appreciated the effort of management to ensure our stay was pleasant.

Breakfast was excellent, though given the number of tables, the kitchen seemed to take longer than expected. The service was good and very friendly.

The front desk staff on arrival, late afternoon on a Sunday seemed overwhelmed and a little frazzled. Check-in eventually got taken care of, though our room was not ready. Concierge was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and a reservation on Monday. Our visit was cut short a day for a family issue, but overall we really enjoyed the hotel and our stay. Will certainly consider another visit.

The house car - Tesla

I didn't realize the 1st floor was actually the basement level. Our window was in complete view of the sidewalk outside. Had to keep the curtains closed the entire time so people outside could not see us while we were in the room (no window tint).

Parking. liked valet, BUT, had no access to our car. if/when we left something in the car, we didn’t go get it because we didn’t want to have to call the valet in

We loved everything about this property. The location, the building with garden and terraces, the room and especially the staff: always ready and so very helpful, with a smile.

The valet and front desk staff were wonderful! The rooms were spacious, clean and luxurious. Would definitely stay again.

The restaurant attached Benne was the worst we've ever visited. The wait was absurd and the food was less that mediocre. For the price, it was absolutely pitiful.
