Courtyard by Marriott Akron Downtown

We were pleasantly surprised by the size of our rooms and the cleanliness, the staff was very nice and helpful when we had questions, the location is great not far from everywhere we wanted to go in Akron or the surrounding area. We would most definitely choose this hotel again.

The only thing which could be better is the parking, not enough parking spaces for the hotel patrons there are other businesses which use the same parking lot we ended up down the street up under a bridge not the safest place to park at night.

Great location, clean, kind staff, comfortable, well appointed, convenient, quick service, nice lobby.

The only reason I stayed at this hotel, attending an event in downtown but my home being only 5 minutes away, was that it had a pool. Unfortunately the pool was closed the entire time making it the only thing keeping me from giving the hotel an excellent rating. I wasn't looking for a room with a pool, but a pool with a room and would have cancelled my otherwise unnecessary reservation if I had known. Otherwise, things were great.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Marriott Akron Downtown. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was modern, spacious and clean. The breakfast at the bistro was delicious.

The parking can be a challenge. There is free parking across from the hotel and down the street but no guarantee of a spot. It's a bit confusing if you are new to the hotel.

Very close to the hospital, friendly staff, discounted our price because we had family at Akron General, overall very nice hotel. Thank you for those things as I traveled from North Carolina for my dad's surgery.

The bathroom shower needed to have a good scrubbing with bleach.. It has a lot of mildew in the shower and the floor tile was very slick. We are not a fan of Starbucks coffee and the room only had dark roast for the coffee maker In the room. After a long day at hospital we were in desperate need of a good cup of coffee.

I'm recommending this Akron Marriott to anyone and everyone I talk to!! From the cleaning crew to the front desk everyone was cheerful and professional at the same time.

The pool may need to be shocked . . .

Front desk person “D” was exceptional. We arrived a little earlier and she kept us up to date on our when our rooms were ready and made it happen sooner for us to accommodate our unexpected arrival. Didn’t use any of the amenities. My grandson was disappointed that the pool was closed but we understood since it was due to the COVID 19 restrictions. Glad they follow protocol for our safety.

Great hotel, excellent location. Staff was very friendly. Only downfall is they don't have coffee downstairs, you have to buy it.

The housekeeping was slow.

I was there on a Monday night so not much was open in the area. The shops and eateries nearby looked cool, inviting, etc. but unfortunately I couldn't enjoy them due to restricted business hours and pandemic conditions.

The rate I was given in my registration was $50 less than what I ended up being charged. I attempted to get it fixed at the front desk but ultimately they didn't honor the predicted rate - not sure what happened there.

Michelle at the front desk was so helpful and super nice. this hotel is beautiful and I will definitely be back. I needed to stay in Akron during the bad weather to be close to the hospital I work at, this hotel is super cozy and worth the extra money. Thank you.
