I love the price! I love the location, nice older neighborhood and the cleanliness and the hospitality of being able to have a little coffee and a little breakfast in the morning. It was so clean! I am 61 and have stayed in hostels before in London and Amsterdam. The only thing that could be improved is having larger lockers. Considering that most hotels start triple the price of hostel and they are not even that clean. (Shudder shudder), this was a great value.

Nothing you can about it, but as a 6 foot tall woman getting into the attic dorm was challenging. Halfway up the stairs, my head touched the ceiling. But I had to duck and climb. But it was on the cleanest places I had been into in a long time.

I like that Robbie is quick to respond and flexible with checkin and luggage drop off. I also like that they have juice for breakfast which I didn’t realize so was a great surprise and laundry 🧺! I also like that everyone is either a traveler, student looking for housing or seem to have a purpose and respect for the space. Easy check-in, space to cook and store food in fridge and big bins for dry foods are convenient.

I do wish there was a dedicated girl dorm. Make Dorm 3 a girl dorm! 🥰 And that there were more windows open to air out the place. Could be a bit cleaner yes but it’s doable and I’m a germaphobe so anyone wondering you will be ok.

I liked how clean it was in the room and having Netflix and Prime to watch. Breakfast options were nice if I needed a quick bite and I liked how the rules were laid out. I also would've loved to borrow a bike if I knew sooner but didn't until my last night.

The pressure in the toilet seemed weak because I had to flush a couple of times to get things down. I also wanted to use the hot tub one day but was too anxious to message anyone.

The manager was really kind and overall the hostel was great for the price. I was there for a conference at OSU so it wasn’t walking distance to university but you can definitely cycle there. The cycles are free. There is also a free campus bus that you can catch from very close to the hostel.

I just felt uncomfortable sharing the washroom but I guess that comes with the cheap price. I lived in private rooms and they were good.

I’d definitely recommend this hostel. It’s my first time ever in a hostel and I liked everything here. The price is valuable. The rooms, bathrooms, and the entire hostel is clean that you’d feel at home. I slept in the 3 beds room and it was spacious. I brought two baggages with me and no one ever touch them so it’s really safe too. Robbie is nice too. The breakfast is for free. You can borrow a bicycle if you wish. I booked again cause I like the entire experience.

Breakfast was delicious. The selection of fruit juices was exceptional!! The creme cheese for the bagels was both a delicious and filling treat. The breakfast cereal was a great start to the day!!

The water pressure was slightly slow, but the water was warm and satisfying... Everything else was absolutely perfect. A great stay at a great hostel... The temperature was good--not too cool and not too warm...

The check-in and check-out process was all online and went surprisingly smoothly (my first time using this method). The hot-tub outside was a nice and relaxing surprise for me (sorry for the spoiler:). I even think I forgot my swimsuit there... My personal stay (one night) was with easy-going guests that were nice and quiet.

Smoking all around outside the house causes 2nd and 3rd hand smoking for the health-oriented guest and is also a fire hazard. The roof of the top-most attic-like floor is so low that it prevents a safe access to it. Distanced 6.6 km away from the central transportation authority station building (greyhound bus lines).

Great Hostel in the university district of Columbus. Free parking was provided and the university inclusive the football stadium and the basketball arena is not far away. The host was very friendly and the provided breakfast was great.

I had to sleep in the top floor, which has a low ceiling, which was challenging to get in and out of the room.

I loved that I was able to park in the driveway in the back an had a code to get in the entry doors a for my room . That there was a front porch to relax on with coffee at anytime of day . There is plenty of room to hang out and relax either by yourself or with some of the house mates.

The atmosphere was great, and the travel vibes were great! Once (AT LAST!!) I discovered that the COTA Hudson bus could transport me quickly and inexpensively to the Hostel, I was elated!! Saves bloody hours walking from OSU Campus and Downtown Columbus. I want to retroactively change my Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel stay on 7/6/22 to an EXCELLENT!! Owner Robbie Boberg was a brilliant source of information regarding a sensitive, but easily resolved situation during my stay there last Wednesday evening. Kudos to The Wayfaring Buckeye Hostel in Columbus, Ohio!!

Everything was as expected from pervious stays at WFH. However, a slight incident was averted after owner, Robbie Boberg was notified, and the case was resolved. I understand that WBH is a unisex dorm facility, and I (as well as other National and International visitors) should be respectful to other hostellers, and I would return be to others. The basis of sex, nationality and respect of cultural values is what makes the youth hostel experience outstanding!! The following stay in which this message is intended for was exceptional.
