Graduate Columbus

I liked the gym as there were actually a decent amount of options and good equipment! I like the location a lot. The room was really good, clean, and I liked the desk. The bathroom was very spacious, clean, bright, and I liked the products. The staff was really nice.

I wish there had been better breakfast/coffee options. Coffee is a big one for me, so would have liked the options to be better. I also wish it had been more lively, seemed pretty dead the entire stay, whereas other hotels I went to were very lively. I would have gotten a drink at a hotel bar had I seen it.

The theme is kind of corny, but I like it. I really like the way each hotel in The Graduate system claims its local heroes...my king suite had a faux-needlepoint chair with an image of John Glenn in his space suit. Love the free bikes, even though both here and in Richmond, they were squeaky-creaky. The location on the Short North Arts District's main drag is excellent - easy to get to both North Market and Ohio State U.

I wasn't crazy about the desk staffer who checked me in repeatedly calling me, my dear. (esp b/c I am at least 20 years older...made me feel like she saw me as a cute little old lady of 57.)

The room and idea of hotel are cute. The decor was fantastic. The bathroom was clean and well stocked.

The hotel charges for valet which is basically a parking lot in the back. We paid for valet to back our car out of a spot for us. The scent of the hotel is strong. It’s not bad but for those sensitive to smells, take note. There were crumbs under the bed. Not a deal breaker but ehhh. The restaurant was closed but we didn’t know until arrival.

Probably the best value for money option in Columbus. Great modern hotel with nice and interesting decor of the rooms (though not so spacious as usually in US) located in the evening district of Columbus with many restaurants and bars.

Noisy and simple lifts, very expensive parking in the backyard of the hotel, no breakfast provided by the hotel (there is only small and simple coffee shop located in the hotel when you can grab some basic pancakes).

The proximity to places on the Short North. Almost central to everything. The room was quiet most of the night except when the clubs/bars closed. Some guests wanted to continue the party but the noise didn't last long.

The one day shift front desk attendant wasn't the friendliest person. Not a very welcoming attitude. Barely made eye contact or life her head up to acknowledge your presence and when she did, I felt her tone was that I was bothering her. I would get it if the front desk was slammed or the phone was ringing off the hook. But I walked right up to the desk. If she was busy she should have made eye contact, acknowledge your presence and state she needed to finish what she was working on then help me. I would move her to night shift and put the night shift attended on days. Much better service and personality.

The decor in the room and common areas was (as with all Graduates) amazing! I loved learning about the city through its decorative motifs and art choices. The staff was great and the room was so comfortable!

The only bummer during our stay was that the day we were hoping to get drinks in their café (The Trophy Room), the POS wasn't working and they had to close up shop. It's a small thing, and it really didn't impact our stay.

The staff was very welcoming, helpful and warm. The location was fabulous and walking distance to great restaurants and art galleries. Touristy spots were a short ride away. Even the airport is only 10 minute cab ride, so definitely recommend staying here. Going by reviews, I chose to stay in room facing the back of the hotel, so it was quiet and I slept well.

Pretty much everything was good - no complaints.

I had never heard of this hotel before but so glad we came upon it. The staff were awesome, friendly and very helpful. The gentleman at the front desk was exceptional! Sorry I can't recall his name. :( The eclectic decor was really interesting all based on local well known people and not your run of the mill hotel. Really enjoyed it. Very cool set up. Younger crowd, but that is great too! The Malin + Goetz soap/shampoos were above average. All day/night free coffee/tea and free bikes to ride. Step outside the door and there were so many great restaurants and bars to choose from. Lots of stations if you wanted to relax and watch tv. Was very impressed with the sign on their door Welcoming All - see photo.

The Graduate Columbus is in a great location, and the accommodations are comfortably and "fun". I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when in the area.

This is a complaint about most hotels, but I'd love to be able to get refills on coffee, etc., without needing to have full housekeeping. I prefer to reuse towels, etc. for a short stay, but always run out of coffee and creamer and would love to have those refilled.

The location was perfect. So close to so much!

The only thing I didn't like was that we had to leave!
